Exactly. Not only that, but the Rs would not have let Burke out of their sight on 12/26/96 if they had actually believed that JonBenet had been kidnapped. They would have had no idea who took her, or where they were, or what they'd do next. They never would have allowed Burke to go anywhere if they had believed someone out there was holding their daughter, ready to kill her, watching their house.

And they certainly wouldn't have felt he was safe going off to ride bikes with friends, etc, even with a walkie-talkie or a cell phone. They'd have home-schooled him or something - sent him to a seriously gated private school with a bodyguard, if socialization was that important. The Ramseys have NEVER behaved as if this kidnapping/murder was the real thing.[/quote]

Your last sentence sums it up...and says IT ALL!!!

Did you ever see the show where they are being interviewed in Hawaii - Patsy looks like hell - one of her eyes is dropping and I am thinking she had a stroke. But she is laughing and talking about going to see JonBenet. What is going on? Do you think it was the drugs she was taking? I mean she is just going on and on about how happy she is to be going to see JonBenet.

The only thing I can glean from this is she absolutely believes it was an accident and does not hold herself responsible for something she "knows in her heart she did not do". Wasn't that intersting that she said that. As long as she knows it was an accident, God knows it was an accident. I am sure that is what she is saying to herself and she is religious so I would assume that murder means something to her and having to pay for that. This case is just fascinating.

Thankfully I didn't see that interview but I like your description of it. (One eye is down!!)

Was it the drugs she was taking? My guess is a big sad no.

That says a LOT. "I know in my heart I did not do this" is a funny way of putting it. If you REALLY didn't do it, you'd never put it that way. The "in my heart" phrase means "yes, she died at my hands, but it was an accident and WE DIDN"T MEAN FOR THIS TO HAPPEN".

Just my opinion of course but I think all the evidence has supported that John and Patsy Ramsey were innocent and people in the beginning speculating and only focusing on them to me is the reason her killer is still out there - I believe if the rumor of Beth and John are true - then that is their business. They have both faced losing their daughters and so in that respect have a lot in common and can understand eachother. Neither of them know who the killer of their child is and this poor man has had an awful life...I feel like he deserves to have a little joy .

Just wanted to point out, that so far there is no reported evidence that Natalee was killed. She's still listed as missing.

which is exactly what she said at the Fernie's

Can anyone give me a link to where Patsy sad John screamed for her from the basement? TIA.

Hi Rash,

Sorry for the delay. I had to get a new password and it took a day.

Rocket posted the interview of Patsy with Haney I believe and I will find it for you but basically it went like this:

He asks her to tell him how that all went about finding the note, etc.

Patsy says, well I screamed for John and he screamed for me from the basement. I will find it for you now.

FOUND IT:

It is under PR INTERVIEW: page 1, post number 9. (you have to go to the second page of threads and you will find PR INTERVIEW:

HANEY: Approximately what time did you get to sleep on the 25th?
PR: Oh, I don’t know what time. I mean –
HANEY: We understand that –
PR: Just before, I mean it was 10 o’lock-ish.

My question: Huh? “Just before” what?

And, why all the make-up brand questions? Was make-up residue found on JBR?

PR: “…her door was just kind of slightly ajar.”

To IDI’s: why would an intruder snatch a kid and then shut their door partly on the way out?

HANEY: You scream for John?
Patsy nods
HANEY: Do you remember exactly what words you used, was it more than just John or –
PR: …I hear my scream and I hear his scream when he came up from the basement…

Rashomon...
You wanted to know what Haney said after Patsy made that comment....well, here is some more of that interview, apparently he let it slip on by without saying anything, and missed yet another golden opportunity.....(shock, shock).

25 TOM HANEY: Do you remember exactly
0041
1 what words you used, was it more than just John
2 or--
3 PATSY RAMSEY: I remember my voice
4 was just cracking. I mean it was like "John",
5 like that. I mean like, I can't even, you know,
6 I hear my scream and I hear his scream when he
7 came up from the basement, I mean it was just a
8 horrible thing. You know, it was just --
9 TOM HANEY: Where does John, and we
10 will use a red marker now for John, where does
11 he first appear in there, at least in this
12 diagram, if you can start there?
13 PATSY RAMSEY: He comes down those
14 stairs there. (Indicating) and so we are both
15 like standing here, I am pacing, I said oh, my
16 God, you know there is a note, she's been
17 kidnapped. She is not in her bed, you know.
18 You know, then everything gets really you know,
19 who's on first kind of thing.
20 TOM HANEY: So you made two little
21 X's in red. They are near the base of the
22 stairs. And that's where you two have this
23 conversation?
24 PATSY RAMSEY: Uh-hum.
25 TOM HANEY: What is John's -- how
0042
1 is he dressed?
2 PATSY RAMSEY: He is in his
3 underwear.
4 TOM HANEY: Just shorts or--
5 PATSY RAMSEY: Uh-hum.
6 TOM HANEY: Okay. And what
7 conversation, what does he say to you?
8 PATSY RAMSEY: God, I can't
9 remember.
10 TOM HANEY: Okay. He still hasn't
11 felt the impact of this, right?
12 PATSY RAMSEY: No. He said, "you
13 know, slowdown" or "what is it, what is it", and
14 I said, you know, "I went downstairs, there is a
15 letter, says she's been kidnapped."
16 And he said, "where is the letter?"
17 I said -- I think I said, "oh, my
18 God, Burke" or something. And I think he ran in
19 to start to check on Burke.

Thanks Solace for your help. OMG - what a bombshell that statement is!! I wonder what Haney replied to that.

Rash, he let it go. Like it never was said. Here is what I think is going on in Patsy's mind. She is asked about the note and what she did after finding it. Patsy has two scenarios going on in her mind, the first when she wrote the note and I would not be surprised if she did call to John when she FINISHED writing it and he called back up to her from the basement.

The second scenario is the "made up" one at 5:30 or so in the a.m. If you read the transcript, she appears to be talking faster than with her other answers and when you talk fast, your subconscious starts answering for you. She mixed up the two scenarios and substituted part of the first one into the second. So instead of saying John called back to me from the bedroom, she says "basement".

THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL SHE IS GOING TO SAY BASEMENT TWO YEARS AFTER THE FACT IF THE BASEMENT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SCENARIO. John was in the basement.

I have said it before and I will repeat it, that is as good as DNA for me. John is involved in the staging of this crime.

I cannot take credit for finding it though. It was Rocket and it was good.:D

HERE YOU GO:

Okay, and that's why
10 you were standing here?
11 PATSY RAMSEY: I am going this way
12 and I lean on and said John -- you know, the
13 landing is like here, is like this, then it
14 turns and like that. And I leaned over, I mean
15 my knees were like, you know, buckling. And oh,
16 God, and he came down and I said, "she's gone,
17 she's gone, there is a note, she's been
18 kidnapped."
19 TOM HANEY: So you're here at the
20 base of the stairs?
21 PATSY RAMSEY: Uh-hum.
22 TOM HANEY: You scream for John?
23 PATSY RAMSEY: (Nodding with no
24 audible response).
25 TOM HANEY: Do you remember exactly
0041
1 what words you used, was it more than just John
2 or--
3 PATSY RAMSEY: I remember my voice
4 was just cracking. I mean it was like "John",
5 like that. I mean like, I can't even, you know,
6 I hear my scream and I hear his scream when he
7 came up from the basement, I mean it was just a
8 horrible thing. You know, it was just --
9 TOM HANEY: Where does John, and we
10 will use a red marker now for John, where does
11 he first appear in there, at least in this
12 diagram, if you can start there?

Rash, as with a lot of the bullsh*% going on in this case, the Ramseys could claim that she meant John's scream was the same as when he brought JB up from the basement. And yes, that is possible. And so a good lawyer could nullify it in a second. HOWEVER, HOWEVER, HOWEVER,

since I believe they did this crime and I believe hell was in session - I think that Patsy is confusing the happenings of the night when hell was in session and how John probably did scream for her when he came up from the basement and she was finished writing the note. Remember Burke said he heard creaking and noises. He heard his parents going insane.

Another thing, Patsy is going to stay away from the word basement at all costs. I don't think I ever heard her mention the basement except when she answers questions regarding wrapping presents down there, etc.- could be wrong - but she is going to stay away from that word most of the time and that is why I think for her to compare the screams to the time John found JonBenet is unlikely - they can use that excuse now - but I think she is remembering reality.

"I have said it before and I will repeat it, that is as good as DNA for me. John is involved in the staging of this crime."

Or it could be her remembering John's reaction when he went into the basement after she told him what had happened. I imagine he did scream.

Very good Albert.

Again, I just think she is going to stay away from the word basement whenever possible. I think if she is speaking the truth she would have said "it was the same scream John had as when he found her". But she says basement. John was in the basement and she just rattled off the answer and the truth came out. IMO.

And don't forget JR's shirt fiber evidence, which has to be true since it was told to him by an attorney, not LE.LE can lie, they cannot.

At some point he was in the basement and Patsy is telling the truth. It was a really good catch by Rocket.
