I don't see how a) she could still teach in the home; and b) how they were even considered as an option when she teaches children in the home. It makes zero sense. Why would they even be an option? Isn't the first condition not being around children?

So, my guess would be that she would have to stop teaching, rent a space outside of the home to teach the kids or go directly to her students' homes to teach them, which might not really work because how many kids teaching to play the piano actually have a piano at home?

I feel bad for the lady, she didn't sign up for this and still has to put up with this mess. This is a big responsability. He's a sex offender, not registered, not convicted, but that's what he is. He is a predator and has been for most of his life. Will she even feel safe in her own home? Come on, this cult is victimizing women from the day they are born until they go to the grave. Also, with the limitations saying that he is allowed to go to CHURCH full of YOUNG CHILDREN and is allowed to be with his kids as long as Anna "supervises", I think it is obvious that he will reoffend in no time. Imo and everything. It is obvious that those kids have been failed time and time again. And I feel so unbelievably horrible for them.

IMO it's because they have no other source of income. The new show (Counting On) is on hiatus and likely won't come back given this new "scandal" as they like to put it. The children were never given any skills that could translate into a real job and they just keep having more children so even if they wanted a job, childcare would completely wipe out whatever they earned.

I don't think they're that worried about the show being cancelled. Ratings and views of Counting On have been going down for years now. It's actually objectively a really boring show lol. <modsnip> They'd be fine without the show.

I wonder if the Duggars offered up their home for the piano lessons. They own several pianos so she wouldn't even need to move her piano in order to move the lessons there.

Very good point, I am sure no parent would let their kid take piano at her house - if given the option to do so.

But it is their 22 year old daughter who gives piano lessons at the house.

This whole situation is so gross. How is he allowed to go anywhere? How is he allowed around his children? Those poor kids. It's always everyone else's fault. Never Josh's fault.

Josh molested his little sisters? They have to sleep in their street clothes and behind a locked door. Josh cheats on his wife who has birthed multiple children? It's Anna's fault.

No rehab will "fix" or help him. This is all he knows, it's never his fault. All he has to do is to pray and he will not be punished. It's his parents fault and now it's his wife's fault too, but it's mostly Josh's fault because he's a grown adult and if he wants to be a decent human being and not an abuser, then he can do it. He just doesn't want to. He wants to victimized little girls. That's who he is and who he wants to be. He thinks this will go away.

I hate that his poor sisters were brainwashed and shamed into forgiving him. They were molested and victimized.

Articles said they had been friends with Jim Bob for 6 or 7 years and that they run in the same religious circles. They seem just as religious as them and I don't doubt Jim Bob will be the one who they report to and who dictates what they will do.

How does the DAUGHTER feel about this? As another young woman about her age you could not pay me all the money in the world to live with Josh Duggar!

Not only do they run in the same religious circles but the guy was previously a volunteer chaplain at Josh's jail and this is why JB specifically went to him for help.

It gets confusing. The daughter gives piano lessons in the home but does she live there too? Her mother was initially uncomfortable being alone with him so I'm wondering if the daughter lives with them but is at work during the day?

I hope that Josh’s older kids and youngest siblings (roughly in the range of 9-12) have good, solid, and meaningful support right now. Even if they don’t know the details, they know their father/uncle has a changed living situation. There are actually some wonderful children’s books about incarcerated parents and Sesame Street did some sweet videos about foster parents and parents unable to presently parent due to substance addiction. Just seeing a magazine in the grocery check-out line is going to be awful.

Easier to claim widespread and systemic conspiracies. Makes him a martyr! I love a good conspiracy theory, but wow...the faked moon landing doesn’t pose a threat to my kids.

JMO as someone who briefly raised another’s child: honesty is hard and best. Euphemisms and vague pseudo-explanations leave the child with way too much space to wonder and create their own explanations (eg “I’m the reason they got divorced.”). I wonder if Josh’s victims have discreetly “interviewed” their nieces...

First, I want to say that I am glad we are talking about JD on here because I personally needed an outlet to vent, and also get more information on JD. I have been following JD in the media since his crimes were reported in 2015.

They probably knew Josh was going to be in trouble, since November, 2019, they have had time to plan. He is probably not allowed off the compound without a "buddy". JB probably wanted Josh close, so he would not keep getting into trouble.

The truth is that maybe JB has had reasons to want to keep Josh very close to home and watched carefully. We don't know. We really have no clue at all. Maybe his daughters sleep at the big house. We don't know.
