If Josh is hinting that someone else (ie brothers) may have downloaded the CSAM, I wonder how the parents will react. I don’t watch the show but my gut feeling is that the father won’t tolerate his other sons being accused. That may be the breaking point. In other words: parents were on Josh’s side when victims were molested, when Josh admitted to Ashley Madison, when the Philadelphia woman alleged rape, and when Josh was accused now. See the theme?! What will happen when it is NOT Josh vs a female but Josh vs a brother?

Throwing a brother under the bus? I didn't think it could get worse with him, wrong! If you try to pin your horrible crime on your sibling you are _a dirty skallywag_____ (fill in the blank)

OF COURSE THEY CAN'T PUBLISH IT FOR PUBLIC CONSUMPTION ... !
IT IS CHILD 🤬🤬🤬🤬 !!!!!!!

It is difficult for me to believe that Josh has been playing a clean game and is innocent of further adventures since his office was raided.

Do you think the raid and seizure of electronic equipment scared him into walking a “good boy” path?

No. Doing it alot less but...
circumventing it better....Or going back to adult 🤬🤬🤬🤬, like on his phone with easy access.

I am truly concerned that they will either fall for it or know he's lying but go with it anyway. Josh is their golden child. He is their obvious favorite and they have spent two decades covering up for his sex crimes. The sons Josh tried to imply could have done it are barely on their radar. They would definitely rather see them go down than Josh, imo.

The family has already loosely defended him saying they need to "get the truth". Jim Bob shelled out a lot of money for an excellent lawyer. His sister, who was a victim of his, tried to equate what he was looking at to normal 🤬🤬🤬🤬 with consenting adults. I don't think they habe a breaking point with him.

There is a push from several agencies to stop using the term “child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.” The [URL='https://childrescuecoalition.org/educations/call-it-what-it-is-help-us-change-legislation-from-child-🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬-to-csam/']Child Rescue Coalition Chief Operating Officer Glen Pounder said, “when children are involved, it’s not child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. It’s sexual abuse, and it’s a crime.”

The nonprofit believes language is important when it comes to children. Their mission is to change a legal definition used in charging perpetrators.

He might actually beat this. Believe it or not, the bar is really high on CSA photos. Unless he also had them on his phone. And even then, he could off very light.

I have seen people caught with a ton of CSA on their computers, they said it was sent to them, they downloaded it without looking at it. Someone else used their phone/computer. Blah blah...they went to the site, and by "accident" clicked on the wrong page, which became a rabbit hole...

The way people get nailed, is actually sharing files, sending it to someone. That is an action. That is how Jared Fogel was in trouble. But the receipt of CSA, is passive. "Yeah, I didn't know what it was...". Happens all of the time with military. Although, they usually get investigated and not charged.

Not sure what the difference is here.

Honestly, I doubt it; though I truly hope it scared him straight. My further thoughts are, have they/will they obtain search warrants to investigate further. ie every single device he has had access to that can access the internet... JMO

He used a separate partition on his computer to download the CSAM. The password that was used to access that partition was also used...for his BANK ACCOUNT. Very few, if any, adults would give out their bank account password to anyone but their spouse. So unless he's going to throw his wife under the bus, I think they have pretty solid evidence that he was the one using that partition.

As for other things, he used a TOR browser and downloaded 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 files. Unless he stopped the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 immediately after downloading, he likely did send the data to someone else as well.

Also, a lawyer on YouTube was discussing the digital forensic evidence and I found it very interesting what they've put into public record already. They put him at the scene of the crime on the date and time of the crime because he was taking photos of cars at the car lot on his phone shortly before the files were downloaded and he texted his wife to let her know that he would be working late.

There's some discussion of the forensic evidence here: A CLOSER LOOK: Josh Duggar's child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 arrest brings interest to the photographed victims

He downloaded files on multiple days. Not sure how his lawyer will argue it was an accident in that case. Also, from what I understand of the horrific video that he downloaded, you can't find that easily. It was once thought to be an urban legend and it's not something you can just stumble onto or have someone send you by accident.

I bet that he has been really been on a short leash. And he is probably never left alone with his children. However, predators can be stealth. Who knows?

So how easy is it to accidentally encounter CSAM? Years ago, I inherited a work computer from a fired employee. My first day, I got some very nasty pop-ups that depicted bestiality and sexual violence. No TOR, just Windows. It’s not THAT easy anymore, right?

How often does a sender of 🤬🤬🤬🤬 purposely include CSAM? Is it like a liquor store clerk throwing in free cocaine to get you hooked? That seems like a big risk for the sender, right?

I am also extremely concerned about their ability to keep him off the internet. Yes, they don't have computers and their phones are password protected, but really, how hard would it be for Josh to smuggle in a burner phone? What would they do if they caught him with one? Decent chances they would just tell Jim Bob and drop it.

<modsnip>

As an aside, I am worried about him sexually harassing her piano students via Zoom, but hopefully he isn't stupid enough to do that.

It’s got to be easy for him to be alone with kids and internet, IMO. Maybe a toddler has a diaper blow-out and Anna has to give the kid a bath...that’s a solid 20min. Maybe Anna steps outside to deal with squabbling kids or clean up a broken glass, leaving him with 10min near a phone.

I have no idea, but I know personally that from all the internet pop-ups, viruses, etc. that I have seen, I have never ONCE encountered CSAM. Not ONCE. (And if I did, I would immediately report it, like a normal person) this is NOT something you stumble into accidentally. Imo. Especially the stuff he was downloading.

No…he found another way to access a computer….somewhere. He is dangerous.

Something I forgot to say in my earlier post.

When I was trying to find out information on child abuse and escalation and all that what happened is the search engine would block it and say it is illegal to read it.
I couldn't just type it in any way. Had to be careful what I typed in so the search engine would work.

Plus it's sorta scary to have the notice that your looking into illegal activity. So I think Josh went to the dark web not only to circumvent Anna, but also because he couldn't get what he wanted on the regular internet.

He discovered, likely many many years ago, that the dark web would feed the evil he voluntarily lets into his life - I don't call it addiction - cop out.

I don't want to debate it, but I believe he chooses to do it rather than having some serotonin chemical response in his brain "making " him do it.

Saying he's addicted is his way to say it isn't totally up to him, that there are mitigating factors.

My hunch is that the two of them don't even talk about it at all. jmo
I tend to agree with you. They probably don’t talk much at all about anything. IMO

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Joshua James Duggar is a danger to society.

This describes pretty graphically what types of CSAM was on Josh Duggar's computer. At least this monster is in prison.
