Ive never been sexually assaulted/abused but man- reading the titles and stuff makes me feel triggered. Awful. I have seen some of this stuff when I interned for the federal public defender one summer. I guess it traumatized me.

There are some truly disturbed minds out there.

so if Jill is testifying, do we think that she volunteered? And would that be because she has first hand knowledge of JD viewing/possessing CSAM? Or could she be testifying as a victim in a previous crime unrelated to these exact charges?

Not sure if she volunteered but IMO she would be the one who would open up. She and her Husband have been estranged from the Parents for quite some time. Not sure if she has contact with any/some siblings. I have come across pics of Jill enjoying a cocktail, wearing pants and if memory serves me a nose piercing. At the time I thought that cemented the deal that she would never be back in the fold. Unacceptable by the Parents standard. Vile child and molestation apparently is forgivable tho

• A federal judge ruled Wednesday that prosecutors can show the jury evidence of past child molestation allegations.

Duggar's defense attorneys sought to to bar prosecutors from presenting those child molestation allegations to the jury, but District Judge Timothy Brooks ruled Wednesday that prosecutors had shown "clear and compelling" evidence that Duggar had committed prior acts of child molestation, which were therefore relevant to the trial.

"The child victims in this case are approximately the same ages as the victims of [Duggar's] hands-on child-molestation offenses," Brooks wrote in his order. "Accordingly, the prior-act evidence is probative of [Duggar's] sexual interest in underage children and his propensity for exploiting young girls."

Duggar's attorneys had also tried to argue that Bobye Holt shouldn't be permitted to testify because her conversations with Duggar constituted "clergy privilege." Holt was a member of the Duggar family's church, and Duggar's attorneys said Duggar looked to Holt as a "spiritual leader."

But Brooks noted in his Wednesday order that Holt had explicitly stated she was not a pastor or elder of the church, and held no position of authority.

"To state the obvious: Conversations between two church members are not shielded from discovery by the clergy privilege — even if those conversations involve serious subjects and are punctuated by prayer," Brooks wrote.

I am going to say, that she wants to be recognized and have Josh held accountable for his actions. She has been on the out with her parents for awhile.

She is very open about her attending counseling sessions, and feeling empowered. It has been a pleasure to watch her move forward, from a weak, pleasing girl, who always pretended everything was fine. To a strong, independent woman.

I wish her the best. You go!

Totally agree. I'm sure testifying will be so empowering. The best thing she could have done was break away from the enablers. Taking Josh and his vile deeds aside this Family on it's own is so twisted. IMO

I can't help but wonder about the girls being asleep. I would think the molestation would have woken them. Perhaps they've blocked out the abuse.

It’s obvious Josh inherited his hubris from JimBob, who had the colossal nerve to tell the Judge that he (JB) would not allow it and then refused to read the report. I’m happy to read that the judge put him in his place. Is there no end to the entitlement from these people??

She and her husband had s falling out with her parents, IIRC it was about the money from the TLC show. Jill and her husband claimed that JimBob had complete control over the money and wan’t fairly distributing it to them.

I think it’s a safe to bet that she’s testifying for the Prosecution and I’d also bet daddy Duggar is not happy about it.

Well, I’m grateful she’s testifying but her family had a falling out with the Duggars. And they don’t attend the same church anymore. I don’t believe she had left the sect.

The police report shows that one of the girls told on Josh- twice. So we know it’s untrue that they weren’t aware. Bobye Holt testified that one of the girls punched him when he reached under her nightgown.

I was thrilled to see that one of the girls punched him - such a normal reaction to something horrific. and then I realized she may have been punished for “not being sweet” as her brother was assaulting her. Sigh. I hope Jill says everything and anything that may be on her heart.

This is a running summary of the day in trial. Noted, Derek Dillard, Jill's husband was there. He sat with Anna, Josh's wife. I am glad she has friends with her.

DHS officer discussed dates, times of downloaded material, and ruled out an employee who was not working at the car lot, until later. And discussed "Dark Web" browser, "Tor".
