Not today anyways, maybe tomorrow.

Shepard Smith is one of my heroes as of today. Finally someone went after one of the people in this case and didn't let them get away with just any asinine answer. Wish he could interview Cindy and George. And a few others in this case.

Wow, that is the best idea I have read!! There is so much we don't know about this family behind the scenes.
Did anyone get to save some of Casey's writting on myspace before it was removed?
Here is an older message from Casey to Lee the day after Caylee's 1st. birthday.

10 Aug 200618:24: alright, so HUGE favor time.mom is going to buy wine coolers, and she already has tons of wine, but no beer. she said she saw howexpensive it is at the store, and is refusing to buy any. if i could,****, i definitely would. it doesn't have to be a lot, just something.i can feel the necessity of the drinks already... it's going to be aLONG day saturday. thanks man. see ya in a couple days!(don't know howsober i will be able to be, being stuck around dad, and what not thewhole day. i feel a lot of awkwardness coming on.)

Why would she feel the need to get drunk to be around her father? :waitasec: What would be so awkward?

Oh good find Truth Seeker. Yea I wonder about that one myself. Looks like Casey and George had their share of problems.

I am assuming from that myspace post that the family must have been celebrating Caylee's 1st birthday on the Saturday after her birthday. This may sound harsh or judgmental, but I find it quite disgusting that a mother needs to get drunk at her daughter's birthday party. That is really pathetic and quite telling in my opinion.

She didn't want to be around her father for whatever reason and needed to get drunk.

I used to feel awkward around my father.

When I was in my teens and 20's I didn't think he was very interesting and found it uncomfortable to try to make conversation.

Besides, Casey was living a lie.

Maybe George tried to make conversation by asking Casey about the JOB she didn't really have? Or he had asked Caylee what Zanny gave her for lunch?

If I had to lie and watch my every word I'd probably need to drink to take the edge off too.

Yeah...maybe HE should be talking to Casey. He seems very no nonsense. I bet he would eventually wear her down.

George was a sheriff's deputy and homicide detective in Ohio for 10 years. I think he is really scared because he knows the law and what could happen to Casey if Caylee is ever found dead.

Hmmm...A 20 year old using the word "sober"...Seems George wanted her to be sober at his house.

What could be the hold up on the release?
They're still looking for a safe house for Casey & the publicity seeking "smarmy" bounty hunters?

Now I wish I had read Casey's entire myspace. This is good stuff.

I read bits and pieces of it, it was interesting to say the least. I wish I would have saved images of it myself. The memory isn't the best, and so now I have to rely on other's for information.

Much of it has been removed.
But Golly, who would be so cheap that they wouldn't have all the booze for one year old's birthday party? I just hate going to birthday parties for little kids when the hosts go light on adult refreshments. Nothing says 'Happy Birthday Kiddo' more than a toast with peppermint schnapps and Jello Shooters.

I do know there were a lot of posts from Casey to Lee letting Lee know when George would be at work, or when he wouldn't be home, etc. :waitasec:

Casey needed to be stoned and partying all the time. It must be hard for her to sit in jail and not be able to do that.

I thought the guy doing the interview was Shepard Smith?

Probably because George had the gall to think that now that Casey has a baby, it's time for her to get her act together & go to school & get a JOB so she can eventually grow up & support her own family!!!

Cindy sounds like she was fine hosting drinking parties for the gang.... George probably kind of thought maybe that crap wasn't really appropriate with a BABY in the home?

Is it any wonder George & Cindy were having marital problems? Sheesh.

Talking to George would probably be harder for Casey than talking to most people...

Casey could talk to her mom about her love life, or her friends or a neighbor lady's bad haircut.

I have a feeling Casey's friends didn't ask her details about her work.

But DADS love talking about jobs and often want all the details. Casey's dad is an ex police investigator. What if that carried over into his personal life and he controlled conversations by asking lots of QUESTIONS?

I think that would be pretty stressful if you did things that aren't legal to get your spending money.
