I figure that anyone who can prance across a stage in a bathing suit in front of the entire United States via television and several hundred people in person, well, they probably have the guts to do whatever they need to do.

I figure a married man who goes out with other women behind his wife's back has the guts to do anything.

Pasty's talent for the pageants was "dramatic speech". She had had plenty of practice didn't she?

I need to go back and read when patsy first says the note was on the stairs. She may have had it on the floor and john really didn't handle it and just crouched to read after checking burke and getting dressed. He could have taken patsy's word for it before reading and the stories changed after getting attorneys.

Again, note on stairs just an 'unverified' statement of Patsy's. He sure could have responded to Patsy's frantic display on the second floor by first running to check the kids' rooms, then bolting down to the first floor behind Patsy, and crouching down in his underwear to read the note if it was already on the floor.
But, only 7 minutes to then run around and thru the house checking it, and all the way up to get dressed and show up again in the kitchen at 5:59 calm, cool and collected? Just does not ring true to me.

I listened again to this YouTube posting of the 911 call:

[URL="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFMrNtPaSy[/URL]"

I believe Patsy is commenting to someone off-phone as the call is picked up by 911. At the :10 spot, Patsy's voice - maybe saying the word "hon", then the operator answers as she is saying "hon(?),we need 'em" to someone nearby, and as the operator is acknowledging the call, she quickly states, "police" and the address in order to initiate dispatching of the police to her home as quickly as possible.

She also says "we" and "our daughter" during the call. I think John is the one she is talking to as the call is answered, and her tone indicates to me that she is overriding what he may be indicating to her from the note in the background about not calling police. I have to say I feel her panic sounds genuine, and if she's acting, she's doing one of the finest jobs I've ever heard.

Between :33 and :56 it sounds to me that after the operator asks if the note says who took her, Patsy may have moved near the note and scanned over it and responded to the operator what she was reading herself in the note. The kitchen phone had a tremendously long cord on it which would have allowed her to move nearly anywhere in the area of the kitchen, so even if John did place it on the floor, she could have easily been reading over his shoulder

Listen carefully to 1:19 thru 1:25. Were those the "voices" that were enhanced later? If so, it sounds to me like those several words was repeated 4 times, and sounded the same, like it would have been a repeated elecronic capture of something, possibly not even words. I do admit, though, that the repeated sounds does sound like a sentence, "What did you see".

Was that where Pasty says Help me Jesus several times? Some think they hear"help me Jesus, help me Jesus, their going to arrest" me also.

If PR was guilty, then I'd say as far as the 911 goes, she was very talented. But, the CNN interview, where she talked about keeping your babies close, is another story, imo. Maybe because in the 911, we couldn't see her expressions?, IDK, but in the CNN interview, her expressions seemed so forced and contrived, and rehearsed. I realize she was probably medicated, but the whole interview, just didn't sit well with me, and made me extremely uncomfortable...like I was watching a rehearsed performance. moo.

Patsy looked younger and better witout all the makeup and stiff hair, but even in that interview and the funeral her no makeup look looked perfectly madeup. It really does all seem so phony.

I don't see what the problem is. Would it be better if she didn't wear any makeup? What's wrong with a "no-makeup makeup look"? As for wearing makeup on TV, the harsh lights make that a requirement. Shows have make-up artists who will do makeup for their guests, or at least give them a touch up.

She appeared to have on little or no makeup, but actually did, which, imo, was no makeup "look" chosen for a couple of public appearances.

I cannot find any reference to : John was fairly calm, smiling and even joking in Perfect Murder/Perfect Town.
Steve Thomas mentions it in his book:
"While Ramseys's language was clear and articulate, and he even smiled and joked, his overwrought wife was in the care of Priscilla White and Barbara Fernie."

S. Thomas, JonBenét - Inside the Ramsey Murder Investigation, p. 24:

hmm, we were having dinner with my sister tonight and she watches America Idol and such and she was watching one called The Voice and a young lady sang "I want to be a Cowboy's Sweetheart.
All I saw and heard was a small little girl with a small little voice singing and dancing and shaking her behind to Pasty's favorite routine. Pasty signed JonBenet up for singing and dancing lessons, three times a week at a hundred dollars a pop for her to learn to be a cowboys sweetheart. Wasn't that one of Pasty that she did in the pageants?

I came across another photo of JonBenet with a bruise on her inner right arm. It's the one that she is leaning against a tree. Pasty paid a lot of money for a photo shoot that day. Does anyone know when they were taken? Was the photographer Randy Simmons (s)?

There is also one of JonBenet with pigtails and in a red and white checked blouse, jeans and boots. There is a rope that is loosely laid on her legs and right arm. I wonder if that was the rope that was found under JAR's bed?

PMPT, pg 258 Randy Simons said he did a day long shoot on June 5, 1996 and mentions JB wearing a Little House on the Prairie Dress and hiding behind a tree. Is that the shot you saw?

No no, that wasn't it. I have found two photo's of JonBenet (different ages) in red and white checked blouses and the brown rope. When did Pasty do JAR's room with a western theme, with rope as a garland? Was it that Christmas?

Saw those photos here: http://www.acandyrose.com/s-jonbenet-timeline.htm

The website shows Nov 11, 1996 and Denver Photographer Studio?, as references.

Yes, 1996 Christmas was the year of JAR's room with western Christmas Tree and rope garland, iirc.

There was a 911 call during the party on the 23rd. The police were dispatched and Susan Stine answered through the intercom IIRC. Someone said it might of been Fleet White trying to make an call to his mother who was ill. Some say the call was made from the basement phone.

Other think it might of been JonBenet. There had been a fight between JonBenet and Pasty earlier that afternoon about Pasty wanting her to wear the dress she is seen in photos. LHP said JonBenet gave in and wore it.
But wasn't this fight on Dec 25th between Patsy and JonBenet over what to wear to the Whites' Christmas party?
A red turtleneck was found on JonBenet's bathroom counter. Patsy stated that she had given in to JonBenet who did not want to wear the red turtleneck the Whites' party, but the white GAP top.

Maybe this fight did not occur before the Whites' party, but after the Ramsey family had arrived back home?
Patsy also seems to have told the police initially that JonBenet had been wearing the red turtleneck to bed.
The many contradictions which the Ramseys presented in their story raise a huge red flag.

We only have John and Pasty's word of what happened when she found the note on the steps. Pasty said she stepped over the note and turned around to read it.
That was one awkward step to make by stepping over the stair that had the ransom note to the one below it. I know my legs would of been to short to of done that and it does seem odd.
This scenario presented by Patsy is totally absurd. Another red flag.
I was curious and tried out a few years ago to step downward over a piece of paper which I had put on spiral steps: it required twisting my legs at an awkward angle; I actually lost balance and had to grab the rail.

Rashomon, iirc, Patsy wanted JonBenet to wear the red sweater and her "little black velvet pants" so she and Patsy would be dressed alike. JonBenet wanted to wear the sequined star top. Years ago I think we discussed this here or maybe on the old crime tv board how photos made at the White's party on the 25th would not be made public. A group of us wondered if it was because the photos showed JonBenet wearing the red sweater. I don't think the issue was resolved as to what she was really wearing.

Housekeeper stated JB and Patsy argued over what JB would wear to the party on the 23rd - JB relented and wore the velvet dress with the puffy sleeves that she is seen in, in a photo, as she is making her gingerbread house.

There was also a "tiff" between Patsy and JB over what she would wear to the Whites, and JB reportedly won that one, wearing the white/silver star shirt with the black velvet pants and vest. Patsy wanted her to wear the red turtleneck so they would be matching. (from a PR statement during one of her interviews)

I have read a couple of accounts of Patsy telling police when they arrived on the 26th that she had put JB to bed in the turtleneck. That story got changed in later statements.

And, yes, stepping over the note would have been tricky. But check out this YouTube clip, the 4:12 - 4:19 time marker, and you see the actress playing Patsy step over the note:
Getting Away With Murder 1.wmv - so guess it's not impossible.
FYI - the film has some conflicts with Patsy's clothing, if JB was awake at all, etc., but shows her in the red turtleneck being tucked into bed.

The movie also showed a phone in the drawer when patsy opened it to get a writing tablet, and she just tossed the phone aside. Does anyone know what that was about?

BOESP,
I think Steve Thomas confirmed that JonBenet was wearing the white Gap Top to the Whites.

If she had not, then this would have been an even bigger issue than the size-12's.

IMO I think the red turtleneck plays a role. Whether its as first stated by Patsy, e.g. wearing it to bed, or as staging that was then amended, I am not certain.

A reason for the change might be to simply make JonBenet's clothing consistent with the claim that the R's put her straight to bed?

The red turtleneck was wet, so it might actually have been washed in her sink, removing any evidence, and by the time LEA got around to checking it out, it may have dried out somewhat?

txsvicki,
From memory, not so good these days, John or Patsy was given a cellphone sometime before Christmas, later when queried on this, the R's said it had gone missing?
