Amonet - you are right about the interview not explaining EG's phrase about sending the picture to 'their dad'.

Imagine that you have no context for this interview whatsoever. The way she says this leads one to think that she knows these people loitering outside of her home, and she is going to send a picture of them to THEIR father. But that can't be, because she has chosen to introduce them to the listener as strangers. It feels weird and wrong, even without context. I just took a nice long walk on my lunch break, and I have an idea.

"Um, they stuck around for maybe 10, 15 more minutes, I actually did snap a picture of them walking away, cause I wanted to send it to their dad, and be like, hey, this is, you know, what's going on. Because I'm home alone."

If you take the kids out of the picture, JH is no longer 'their dad'. He is 'my bf, my man, JH' The sentence doesn't work if the kids aren't there.
I then thought back to something I posted yesterday, about her use of the word 'actually', used twice, also while describing this interaction with the strangers.
'Actually, it was pretty early morning'
The use of 'actually' smacks of comparison, and since there was nothing asked that she would need to make a comparison to, I assume the comparison is internal, and that it was 'actually' NOT early morning at all. Why mention that at all? No one asked her what time it was.
Early morning might be a time when the kids are still asleep. Later morning... they are likely to be awake.

These two things together are leading me to believe, at least right now, that the kids were awake, and at least in some manner, present for this weird exchange with the scary strangers that she invited in and then found somehow threatening.

So my question now is - why make attempts to leave them out of the story?

I can't find where it was stated about the man and woman now.
I watched the interview and EG saying she went out and asked them did they need to come inside because it was cold. Something along those lines.
I can't remember if EG was saying this happened on the morning of Lucas going missing or another day.

If it was the same day that Lucas went missing, EG is remarking that it was cold but a neighbor a!so stated that it was warm and his children were playing in the back garden.
If anyone can figure out if these two accounts occurred on the same day can you let me know please its niggling at me.

Regarding EG saying she kicked JH out after the incident with her boys. Could the move to a different house be so EG could make the lie to the 2boys dad about kicking JH out more believable. She could have lied to him and said "we are not together and I've moved to a different house and left him".
If the 2 boys are only with her for one day she could easily explain Lucas' presence there by saying she has Lucas on a Sunday because she has brought him up for years and misses him, so JH gave her visitation on a Sunday.
This is all just speculation by me because I really don't think she kicked JH out after the incident and was just trying to prevent the boys dad reporting it.

What what a load of crap, moo.

:pinocchio:

She mentioned "early morning" (as related to the couple)...-hmmmm....maybe this is when it actually all went down with Lucas...

Also, she said he's so little so he gets hurt easily, or something along those lines.

(Catching up)
It would be interesting to see what someone who can read body language would say about her interview

I'm pretty much thinking everything she says dances around the truth.

I get that a parent will claim the abuser has moved out of the home and won't have contact with the kids, but it is a lie for CPS to allow them to keep their kids.

I wouldn't really expect the mom to claim this to bioDad when he first brings abuse to her attention. I'd expect her to tell him to piss off and drag her feet until the court made her.

I probably should re-read it. I remember it saying something like (paraphrasing) "the injuries were blamed on rough play AGAIN kicked him out". Like this was a phone call saying WTH, and she's defending defending defending.

With the move on the 7th (interesting if that is JH's bday) I am just curious if he's on the lease. If he's not, she still didn't kick him out because of the abuse, imo, just a volatile relationship that is "on a break".

And sadly I don't think either one of them cared enough about Lucas to put his physical placement at the forefront. Especially if they broke up and kicked each other out frequently (speculation).

I wonder how JH managed to obtain reunification with Lucas. It seems that he was with biomom until 6 mos, then an extended relative. So why did JH get him back 100%? Did JH know and truly believe he could drop Lucas back off with his maternal extended family at the drop of a hat?

I know we have many members who would take in all these missing kids in a heartbeat...but the truth is, you probably aren't a foster parent and what would you really do if a complete stranger tried to leave their scared kid on your doorstep? You wouldn't have a legal leg to stand on if you took the child in.

Imo, no one knows what to do with problem breeders who don't parent and raise problem kids. I was affected (eta emotionally, not personally) by Nebraska's attempt at safe haven. Instead of recognizing a need for parents to safely surrender their older kids, the law was changed. So do we only want to help kids if we can hold their bioparents legally and financially responsible?

From Wikipedia
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Safe-haven_law

I guarantee JH is on the lease. She has no job and, I'm sure, exceedingly poor credit due to past due child support. She can't get a place on her own.

I’m not sure if anyone has said this yet, but it was probably this incident between EG’s boys and JH that prompted her arrest. The timing of the report and her arrest is not coincidental. It was extremely critical that Lucas and the baby were included because she had not yet been stripped of access to those two like she has her older two. This is so important because if she were to make bail and she’s not formally charged with a crime against her children, by law SRS would be forced to start working towards a family reunification plan. I spent a year with SRS for my practicum several years ago and it’s common for a child to be removed from both parents who reside together even if only one was responsible for abuse. I don’t believe for a second EG kicked out JH, it was just good timing for her to claim that as they were moving from one place to another. The only way for EG to regain her visitation with her kids was to separate from the accused “abuser”. I can’t tell you how many times we’d catch a parent violating conditions in which a particular person wasn’t supposed to be around the children if they wanted to keep their kids in the home. Since the complaint was against JH however, the fact EG’s been charged with endangerment due to drugs, that accounts for the 3 charges listed against her online. Most likely she either admitted to using something or she failed a drug test. It’s very difficult to take an incident with the two boys against her for Lucas and the baby so it’s a much safer thing to find something else like drug’s instead.

I will say this, there is no question in my mind that SRS has failed many children over the years, but keep in mind the only cases you will ever hear about publicly are the bad ones. I have seen first hand all the kids who were saved and taken out of horrible situations. And because I was a MSW student I got to see the entire process-from the very first phone call all the way to termination of parental rights in court. It’s sad because parental rights trump a child’s wellbeing, and it all boils down to what you can, and what you cannot prove in court. I think the straw that broke the camel’s back for me was meeting with a parent behind bars to work a family reunification plan all because we couldn’t prove yet a child was at risk. I’m thankful for the experience because it successfully cured me from ever wanting to work in that environment again.

Anyway this is my opinion.

That and I’m wondering if there is such a thing as a “lo-jack” for kids. Some kind of GPS so I can locate my kids anytime I want.

Cellular places sell GPS things for children. My children wear these things called GIZMOPALS and they're sold at Verizon. They're about $80 a piece and only cost $5 a month. You can program up to 4 phone numbers, so they can call you if they need to... and you can track their location. You can also get a notification when they leave an area. I have ours set so we know when they leave or arrive at school. When they are at a friend's house, we set it to that location, so we get updates. They also read off the time and make cool sounds.

This is on my list of possibilities as well. It would help to know if he was home sick from school in the days before he disappeared.

jmo

This has been confusing to me for some time on the thread. It's talked about as if it is true. Is this merely a rumor that has taken legs on Websleuths?

If it was in MSM anywhere, can someone repost please as the thread keeps talking again and again about this without a mod ban on the topic, so I'm assuming there was an original MSM report for it to continue in discussions about strep and being out of school.

The Affidavit of Emily Glass's Ex:

In it, he claims that Emily said it was an accident and that she kicked JH out.

If it was truly an accident, why would it have prompted her to kick him out? Either it wasn't an accident, she didn't kick him out, or both.

ETA: the lease at the new/current place on Edgemoor; wouldn't JH HAVE to be on the lease? She doesn't work and as far as we are aware, has no proof of income to provide a rental company/landlord, correct?

If it was an "accident" then why kick him out? Doesn't make sense.

Truthfully, I'm a nervous wreck, been up all night, can't sleep from anxiety. The wind is just now starting to pick up. It's the start to what's gonna be a long day.

I have really bad anxiety, so I understand that ALL too well. I don't mind storms if they happen during the day and if there's nothing "scary" with them, but the first mention of hail or a tornado or bad winds, and I am glued to the computer/radar/weather until it's over.

It's been a few hours now - how are things? Calmed down a little?

Pretty sure that is why there is a law against people riding in the back of a truck. Because it is dangerous. Hey, I grew up on the farm, so I am all to familiar with riding in the back of a truck-I would never allow any of my 5 to ride in the back of a truck now......

I guess my thing is - I am not seeing anywhere that it says the truck was moving. Could he have been at someone's home, in the back of their parked truck, just playing?

Mother of the year award for me, I guess... my kids play on the back of my husband's worktruck all the time - it's a flatbed. Not an 18 wheeler, but a Dodge 2500, with a flatbed instead of the standard bed.

what if JH and EG are in on it together, like some type of accident happened while they were both using drugs/partying? their plan was: 1. wait to report anything to make it look like a disappearance/they are victims missing their child 2. JH leaves with Lucas in his car for work so the body is hidden far away/throws off LE (im sick typing that) and 3. EG reports said disappearance. There also could be a power dynamic here - for example, maybe JH knew EG was taking the bigger risk by reporting him missing/last to see him but maybe she bends to his whims? and maybe he's the type who kept telling her "itll be fine, trust me". or maybe vice versa -maybe EG was like "we cant report this accident, ill officially lose my 3 other children, think of a plan". Keeping in mind they aren't exactly criminal masterminds, this was the best they came up with.

While this isn't my favored theory at the moment (as far as what my gut says), one thing can't be ignored: both JH and EG stood to lose A LOT if they reported Lucas death as an accident and it was ultimately ruled negligence or murder...JH had one child to lose and EG 3.

I don't want to agree with this, I really don't... but it would kind of make sense as far as him not wanting to talk about any abuse or anything. Not wanting to bring that possibility to light.

I would like to see a profile of the “abductor” from a FBI profiler.

ETA: John Douglas’ profile he did for the Jacob Wetterling abductor was extremely accurate.

I feel sad for the Wetterling family. What they have gone thru for all those years, and even now is really heartbreaking. I think that Patty Wetterling is such a strong, and kindhearted lady. She has been through more than most of us will ever understand. Patty has turned a bad situation into something good, that will help others. The Wetterling Foundation visits school around Minnesota, to talk about strangers and being safe. I missed the one they did in New Hope- Fire Station, last summer.

That's wonderful news. I'm sure the Wichita community will be generous and will also volunteer if asked and will bring supplies to the searchers. For anyone who doesn't know, Texas Equusearch is funded entirely by donations from the public. They always appreciate the help.

About TXEQ

Texas EquuSearch Mounted Search and Recovery Team started in August 2000 with the purpose to provide Volunteer Horse Mounted Search and Recovery for Lost and Missing persons. The Team was started in the North Galveston County area because of the high incidence of missing persons in the largely undeveloped area of South Harris and North Galveston Counties. With this in mind, the team’s existence and purpose is dedicated to the memory of Laura Miller, the daughter of our founding director, Tim Miller. Laura was abducted and murdered in north Galveston County in 1984. Our team is composed of volunteers of various experiences, with many being experienced horse owners.

We currently have approximately 1,000+ members and are growing rapidly. We are currently available to conduct searches nation and worldwide. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, which is funded solely by donations.

[...]

Thanks for the info. I wish I could help search, but since I can't, I've made a donation. Praying they find that little boy!

I wonder if LE was able to rule out if the back door had been actually opened or not? If Lucas had opened the door, there would have been kid-sized fingerprints on the inside door handle. And, they could have compared those fingerprints to one of Lucas' toys... just to make sure.

Thanks to all here for the hard work. Quietly following along. Which typically happens to me after a horrific Trial here. Hard to immerse for a bit. Sure hope the news of EquuSearch has reached folk/s and they are afraid. Very afraid. Praying little Lucas is found. Prayers from Ontario Canada.

Something just struck me.... some rental places let you start moving in early, but you can't fully move in (stay there) until the start of the lease. What if the 11th was the actual "start of the lease day" but they started moving stuff in on the 7th. Maybe, EG took the kids outdoors, so they wouldn't get in the way of the movers. EG also had to go back at some point to clean up the apartment... If you don't clean your apartment, they deduct the money from your deposit. I am sure she wanted that damn deposit back. It is possible that EG had done something to Lucas during the apartment clean up. Forgive me for saying this she could have stuffed him in a trash bag and took him out with the trash she had cleaned out of the apartment.

Anyway, I heard the dogs didn't pick up on Lucas' scent in or around the house. It could be because he had never stepped foot inside of the house. We don't know how many hours EG had her boys, she might have had them only 2-3 hours before their bio-dad came to pick them up. She could have gone back to the apartment that day to do the move out cleaning... This is why no one saw Lucas after the 11th because he was disappeared the same day.

It's absolutely heartbreaking - no words. You're right the Wetterlings and the Wetterling Foundation have done so many good things. I pray for all the victims and survivors.

Snipped.

I'm not quite sure where this info came from. Anyone have a link to MSM?
