Dog was incompetent. There will undoubtedly be a successful civil suit. Well deserved. And now a second case. Very avoidable and imo reflects basic human competence for children’s safety.

Casey Anthony sat in jail for months saying, "I don't know where Caylee is."

what confuses me is in her booking photo her hair looks lighter, than in her court appearance video and obviously she didn't dye her hair in jail.

I noticed that as well, however, I think it can perhaps be due to differences in photo/camera equipment, lighting, background, etc.

Just from my own experience with my camera, something as "small" as correcting the white balance when shooting the same subject, at the same angle, with the same camera and lens can create a difference in colors.

EG could have bought the hair dye that washes out after an X amount of shampooings.

I wonder if she had help hiding the body. Think about it. She had a restricted drivers license. Was the restriction only if she had children in the car or was it constant? If it was constant, under all circumstances she needed to have someone over the age of 18 in the car she was driving, then if she took Lucas that day, didn't have another adult with her, got pulled over, car impounded with Lucas in the trunk, she would have been busted big time for this crime! Would she have taken that chance?

While it may be unlikely that she would strictly follow the guidelines, she wouldn't need another licensed adult in the car.

She would have likely had her license re-suspended and been issued a citation. The car would probably not be impounded if she could contact another properly licensed driver to come to pick her and the car up, though.

True but then it would be darker in the booking photo and lighter in the court appearance one which is not the case. As someone else commented it could just be the lighting.

1. Unplanned Pregnancy

2. Temporary Blissful Phase
Some couples have babies to "save" the relationship and often times the excitement and bliss of pregnancy & a new baby results in the relationship being temporarily normal or even good. Short-lived relationship circumstances.

3. False sense of themselves, their partner, their relationship and their abilities (or lack of abilities) in regards to being good parents.
Very few people who are terrible parents can admit to such honestly and objectively. In my experience/observations, it's actually the parents who are extraordinary who often sell themselves short or have unattainable expectations of themselves, whereas parents who are less than stellar or downright terrible tend to make excuses, state their cases, or simply do not see or understand the ways in which they are terrible and in the rare cases where they do, they lack the motivation or ability to change that.

Thank you for this! It is spot on and so right in every way!

Maybe she was using a spray-on color? You can get them at the drug store. Or a temporary rinse in one the comes out when you wash it?
just guessing

Evan's landlord found his tomb after the suspects were evicted. Sounds like LE had to have walked right past.

How a landlord discovered Evan Brewer’s body when no one else did

"Days after police had searched the small rental house without realizing what was inside, the landlord looked around himself.
...
At first, Dwayne Haukap recalled Tuesday, “I overlooked it.”

It was a big slab of fairly fresh concrete, covered in carpet and tools in the laundry room, Haukap said.

Snipped by me...

Evan has been in the back of my mind every time we say on this thread "I'm sure LE knows more than we do...."

They literally didn't find a dead child who was in the room with them, something a regular dude managed to do later, once they'd declared there was nothing of further interest in that house .

Please someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think our VI stated on a thread here a while ago that she didn’t even know that EG had a restricted license as she (EG) would often drive the kids to their meeting location when they had visitation of Lucas. So it sounds like EG didn’t adhere to that license restriction at all.

I don't know. Yes, when you put it that way it does bother me. I guess I'm just hoping that LE do have an evidentiary reason to be saying what they are, to be holding EG, and for not putting out any sign they might be considering anyone else?

Could LE have asked media to not film evidence collection from the house because they don't want to jeopardize a future trial? When JH and JO did their joint interview they had made it clear to the media organization that some topics were off limit. Surely they would have been led by LE in making that request?

If LE have camera footage from another house in the street that covers EG's house and there's no sign of Lucas between 3pm and 6pm, no sign of anyone else going up to the house, then in that sense a lack of evidence could be seen as evidence against EG...at least inasmuch as telling the truth about the timeline? And if EG is lying about the timeline, then what else could she be lying about?

This is why I'm wondering if they have looked under the deck of that house...

Equipment theft threatens Texas Equusearch's existence
http://abc13.com/archive/9145166/
June 19, 2013

"Texas Equusearch says it may not be able to recover from a major theft of its search equipment.

Someone stole the organization's van and two off road vehicles from outside a southeast Houston restaurant. The stolen items totaled $45,000 included a GPS system, firearms and phones.

"This one really put us down a couple of notches lower and whether we're gonna survive from it I really do not know at this point and time. It was a huge blow," Texas Equusearch founder Tim Miller said."

The Most Memorable Texas Equusearch Stories

"KPRC's Joel Eisenbaum broke the story that Equusearch had discovered 127 sunken vehicles while searching for a missing woman in 2011."

Equusearch Founder Seeks City's Support to Recover 127 Vehicles from Bayous
DECEMBER 10, 2014 |
http://www.houstonpress.com/news/eq...t-to-recover-127-vehicles-from-bayous-6752147

"Since then, Miller said, he's found companies willing to donate equipment, manpower, and expertise to recover the vehicles. Miller believes there are more submerged cars than the 127 that turned up during a two-day search that didn't even cover all of the city's bayous. So he's seeking the Council's permission to move forward.

The vehicles may be leaking hazardous fluids into the water, and may be contributing to flooding problems, Miller said. The vehicles could also hold clues in unsolved crimes, he said.

"We can send a message to our criminals that are putting the cars in the bayous that we have found your hiding spot," Miller told the Council."

"Equusearch has recovered a number of vehicles with bodies inside. Once they located an airplane with three bodies in the middle of Lake Erie.

They have also found vehicles that provided evidence in homicides, such as the case of 19-year-old Jodi Sanderholm. Investigators traced a single hair recovered from a car dumped in a lake near Arkansas City, Kan., to the man sentenced to death for her murder.

Every car in the bayou is a potential crime scene. It could be a homicide, suicide or an accident. An empty car could have been stolen or dumped to collect insurance money. Miller has been making a case to get these cars out of the water before they drag someone under and create another disaster."

I believe FLA stated that the family didn’t even know her license was restricted. I don’t think she abided by the rules of the restriction.

What a great organization, very hopeful that TES will find Lucas.

They've not been involved in any of the cases I've followed over the years...can anybody point me to cases you've followed here on WS where TES has been integral?

I was googling to see if I could come up with a list for u but I got sidetracked. Here is a story that shows what a wonderful and caring person Tim Miller is. I just read thru it quickly as I had not heard of the case before. Apparently TES located a young girl’s body, Abby English (she had been in & out of the foster system). Tim was trying to receive custody of her body from the state so he could provide her with a fitting burial and bury her next to his murdered daughter, Laura. I was in tears reading thru the article.

Tim Miller is a saint.

‘Equusearch founder seeks custody of teen believed dead‘

“In an Eyewitness News exclusive, Texas Equusearch founder Tim Miller is trying to get custody of a 15-year-old girl he was searching for and who was believed to have been found dead Saturday.”

“Miller believes the body found Saturday in Shoreacres is Abigail English.”

“Miller says Abigail's family wants to cremate her, but Miller is asking the state of California to grant him custody of Abigail so he can bury her next to his daughter, Laura, who was kidnapped and killed.”

"I'm in the process of filing for custody of little Abby so she can have that proper funeral she can have that little headstone," said Miller.”

Generalization? I'm not talking about police in general, I'm talking about a specific, recent case of an abused, missing little boy investigated by the exact same department in charge of finding a (likely) abused, missing little boy.

It's so sad and the state of his poor remains left the ME unable to state cause of death. That's why earliest possible location is so vital:(
"[FONT=&quot]The documents also say that Brewer’s body was so decomposed when it was found that medical examiners have classified his cause of death as undetermined."

Very true.

Wouldn't this be the same department though? I know the cases are the same area, and are they the same jurisdiction?

But, even so, I don't know if LE has admitted any wrong doing in Evan's case or if any investigators lost their jobs for missing the tomb. Seems to be an ongoing investigation.

I really am curious about if this is the same department, though. At least FBI has been called in, here.

But it might not be that Truman is generalizing so much if we are relying on the same investigative team in both cases. Jmo.

I am hoping that since the case is SO recent they will be a little more thorough with Lucas. Sad that they stood in the same room as Evan’s grave and said “yup, looks good. Nothing suspicious here!”

Surely they don’t let that happen again....

Wishful thinking.
