Here is Abigail's thread. She WAS in fact buried next to Laura Miller.

https://www.websleuths.com/forums/s...acres-22-March-2016&highlight=abigail+english

I was googling to see if I could come up with a list for u but I got sidetracked. Here is a story that shows what a wonderful and caring person Tim Miller is. I just read thru it quickly as I had not heard of the case before. Apparently TES located a young girl’s body, Abby English (she had been in & out of the foster system). Tim was trying to receive custody of her body from the state so he could provide her with a fitting burial and bury her next to his murdered daughter, Laura. I was in tears reading thru the article.

Tim Miller is a saint.

‘Equusearch founder seeks custody of teen believed dead‘

“In an Eyewitness News exclusive, Texas Equusearch founder Tim Miller is trying to get custody of a 15-year-old girl he was searching for and who was believed to have been found dead Saturday.”

“Miller believes the body found Saturday in Shoreacres is Abigail English.”

“Miller says Abigail's family wants to cremate her, but Miller is asking the state of California to grant him custody of Abigail so he can bury her next to his daughter, Laura, who was kidnapped and killed.”

"I'm in the process of filing for custody of little Abby so she can have that proper funeral she can have that little headstone," said Miller.”

That gave me chills. That is a man who CARES.

I'm praying for him and his team. ❤️

There are all different types of restricted drivers license in Kansas. My SIL was on a restricted license and all she to do was apply for modification because she was the sole care giver for two children in her household. She was allowed to drive those two children to and from school, doctors appointments, grocery store etc without another license driver in the car.

Very true.

Would this be the same department though? I know the cases are the same area, but are they the same jurisdiction?

And even so I don't know if LE has admitted any wrong doing in Evan's case or if any investigators lost their jobs for missing the tomb. Seems to be an ongoing investigation.

I really am curious about if this is the same department, though. At least FBI has been called in, here. But it might not be that Truman is generalizing so much if we are relying on the same investigative team in both cases. Jmo.

They are both Wichita Police Department. Have no idea if it's the same investigators.

I am hoping that since the case is SO recent they will be a little more thorough with Lucas. Sad that they stood in the same room as Evan’s grave and said “yup, looks good. Nothing suspicious here!”

Surely they don’t let that happen again....

Wishful thinking.

I'm hoping the same thing...it would be a tiny sliver of a silver lining in Evan's case for it to lead to a more diligent, thorough investigation of Lucas'.

Indeed.

Not name dropping, but I'm proud to say I know this man personally, and have for many, many years.

If anyone can find Lucas, he and his team can! But they have to have the right leads! Much of it is based on what information LE can provide!

:praying:

Dog was incompetent. There will undoubtedly be a successful civil suit. Well deserved. And now a second case. Very avoidable and imo reflects basic human competence for children’s safety.

What is this in reference to? TIA

Generalization? I'm not talking about police in general, I'm talking about a specific, recent case of an abused, missing little boy investigated by the exact same department in charge of finding a (likely) abused, missing little boy.
So many variables in different cases, I can't imagine how to do compare. Impossible to judge accurately with no info....easy to blame the leader.

I'm not sure its even the same investigative team. The entire department doesn't run every case. Really need more info to understand the situation. By all means, blame the leader if you want to take someone to task.

Yes Evan Brewer was in the same jurisdiction as Lucas. Here is his case:

A billboard near downtown Wichita asks for help in locating 5-year-old Lucas Hernandez.*Travis Heying*The Wichita Eagle

"It has been two weeks since 5-year-old Lucas Hernandez was reported missing."

Eta: Can someone please post the billboard photo from this link? Tia, technical difficulties here on my end.

(One of the most heartbreaking....no words...looking for the affidavit Pink posted, o/t...)

(Eta: From Evan's thread:

I am rarely so affected by simply reading something but what this little guy went through, what his mother allowed and participated in, made me cry. Be forewarned, the affidavit it VERY graphic and VERY horrible.

I have friends who have fought, similar to EG and JH, who were codependent upon each other, and did love each other, It would take me a month to explain the dynamics, they're just mind boggling. LE was never called b/c they were pretty rural and/or if in town, folks keep to themselves around here, especially after it happens on a weekly basis. In one friends home, and they were married for years, and stayed married, we'd have to duck things flying through the air most every time that we visited, or, we'd have to try and intervene if they were at one of our homes.

My point, what if JH hadn't returned to TX yet, and they fought. During their fight they throw something, and little L gets hit, or they shove him out of the way and he strikes his head or is shoved harder than they intended, being wrapped up in their own fight. They have to do something or EG will lose her boys, and they'll lose their daughter.

I don't think JH was a regular drug user b/c of working on the oil rigs. From what little I know about working on them, it can be dangerous work and they have random drug testing. That doesn't mean he couldn't drink, which, with with EG having a hot temper, alcohol would likely not be in her best interests either. However, I'm sure that LE has checked to make sure that JH was at work during the week that little L went missing.

One more scenario, EG and a bf, could have been hooking up during JH's work time. Little L walks in, and one of them went off on him. They think he's just hurt and put him to bed with a movie. They shower, and find that it's much worse. L's taken away by bf, so EG doesn't know where he is at, maybe it was a bf who hurt him, so , she is being truthful when she says that she didn't hurt him. A bf is not going to park in front of the house. Maybe a bf used her suv that was pulled up to the shed.

Just some thoughts.
I've been thinking about THIS type of secret relationship a lot. Do we know what day and time EG was seen out front smoking with a white male? What is before or after the vehicle was seen backed up to the house?

Bridges are always of interest to me in these types of situations, moo.

Me too. I struggle going there but I keep coming to the same thought... I find her lazy and takes the easy way out if she did this. I can’t see someone with well known drug usage being super careful about covering her tracks.

This is a local family owned BBQ restaurant. You may have more luck with them because there wouldn't be so much red tape to go through.

http://www.twobrothersbbq.com/

They have 3 locations, so it would be easy logistically.

Pink- I can help with food pick-up or anything! Let me know if/how I can help!

I was reading a study, and found that.

The longer distances, a victim's body was moved, up to 59 m, were when a child was murdered at the residence, indoors, in an urban setting. Shorter distances were associated with destroyed/hidden evidence, and placing the body in a bag (or I guess any container). These cases will start out at the offender's home, and may begin as a missing person report. The victim is likely known to the offender so it's important to hide the body.

38% of child victims were found in forested areas, 20% in water sources, 17% in their own home, 16% on the street, and if a vehicle is used to transport the body, most often the child victim is found within 150' of the highway (No vehicle used, and the body was still carried around 150' from the site of the crime).

Taken from the book:
Missing Persons: Multidisciplinary Perspectives on the Disappeared pg. 198-199

Thank you for this Rsd- this is the info I like!!!!!

Bingo. She may very well have dyed her hair at a rest stop shower. Unless the 35 miles were too out of her way liking.
BBM Funny you should say this. I was thinking the same thing. <respectfully snipped for relevance>
In this case, her hair would have been dyed BEFORE the shower.

Best thing in the world that could happen right now in this case as far as finding Lucas imo is that TES is searching tomorrow!!!!

Because of your enthusiasm about TES I have read more about them. I hate how it started for the founder, but I love his dedication to this work and everyone involved. Thanks Margarita! I’m donating today and will continue to, because I love what they do!

I don't mean to be short sighted or close minded. I don't know what you mean by "blame the leader" if I want to. I feel like this DCF official is maybe a scapegoat and indicative of a larger problem, if that is what you mean by blame the leader.

And if it is the same department, then PPs comment wasn't a generalization, which is what I was responding to here that you've quoted. I sure hope someone with great instincts is working Lucas's case. I'd hope they'd have the best on these cases, but everyone has to gain experience somehow. Everyone has their first case.

And I hope all the LE involved in Evan's case followed all procedures and everything even if those procedures need to change. It sounds like only someone familiar with the home, like the owner, would have noticed that thing out of place in Evan's case. Thank God it was a rental. Hopefully they've had the landlord in to Lucas's last known residence.
