Many years ago I lived in an apartment that the laundry facilities were in the basement as well as storage rooms that you could store stuff in and put a paddlock on, they were not individually assigned to apartments but you just took an empty one and your own paddlock on. Wonder if they still do that or if her old apartment had that type of thing?

If LE believes Lucas did not walk out the door, they checked that house thoroughly. And the yard, too. But they might not have checked the immediate neighborhood as thoroughly as they would have had they found evidence he walked away from the house.

LE also says there is no evidence of an abduction.

I think Lucas died in the presence of EG--it could have been discipline gone wrong or it could have been purely accidental. Whichever it was, it did not happen at home. There would be some kind of evidence of either an accident or foul play there if it had, imo.

Maybe: They were all at the park and something happened that resulted in Lucas not returning home. She did something that caused serious injury or death and she hid the body. Or, Lucas wandered off on his own at some point and she was unable to find him and after looking around for quite a while, she panicked. She went home thinking he might be there and when he wasn't, she went to the neighbor's to see if he was there. He wasn't. So she calls 911 and reports him missing.

What stands in the way of any of that being feasible is her saying they were at the park and that she showered and napped. And when she woke three hours later, Lucas was nowhere to be found.

Going with LE theory that Lucas did not leave the house on his own and no one came in and took him...what other possibilities are there for what happened to him? How did he get lost if he did not leave on his own and was not abducted from the home?

Could Lucas have been wandering the park and someone picked him up? These days, that is all too possible.

The only thing I can think of is they all went to the park and EG and Lucas butted heads over something and he walked off and she let him go. And then when he didn't return and she couldn't find him, she knew there would be no way to explain letting a little boy walk away upset.

People who know EG might be able to figure out how she might act in certain scenarios. I'm only guessing at why she would lie. And I do believe she is lying about when and where she last saw Lucas.

The above is My Opinion Only...it's just me trying to make sense out of something that does not make sense.

I think poor Lucas was put in a dumpster. This is so sad.

This is my fear. That this will happen and poor Lucas will never be found. Especially as I think that he disappeared before 2/17.

Just checking in to let everyone know that Tim and the team are in the field and working hard - after taking a quick lunch break. Lots of people are asking about the command center location, but they don’t want it released to the public. Tim and the whole team is pleasantly down to earth and approachable...and knowledgeable. We’re optimistic!

I felt like she's trying for the sympathy card. Like, "I'm so hurt and i am not ready to talk about it."

But, I could be wrong.

We are on the same wave. The 11th seems like the day

But would she really risk even ABUSING Lucas when her kids were around? Obviously, they can talk and point fingers.... Or say JH did what EG really did. Not sure they're old enough to keep that kind of secret even if it meant never seeing mommy again or whatever threat she used.
What are y'all's thoughts about how it would have played out on that day?

THIS is a great thought! I hope to have some time later this afternoon/evening and will listen to as much as I can of the podcasts posted and see if there’s any other relevant information to those cases as well. I’ll post if anything strikes me in particular.

Great discussion here, everyone!
Yes same here!

Lucas could have had a fit, and EG left him at the park

Thank you, Kadoober!! I'm embedding this within the thread so we can internally quote, etc. You rock!

"R=Reporter
E=Emily

R:There's obviously a lot of rumors going on, a lot of things people are saying, about your stepson Lucas, just curious if there's anything that you want to say about that situation.

E: Um, yeah, um, in the past, you know, there's been times he's, been a boy, and um playing with his older brothers, and his cousins, um, he gets bruises, and he has had some falls, um, falls either could be cooking dinner, or at the park, um... (long pause, looking down) Um. I'm sorry, this is really hard on me.

R: No, you're fine, take your time.

E: (fake crying like a 🤬🤬🤬🤬) He's my son, you know? I may not have given birth to him but he's my baby boy, you know? I take care of him every day. You know. Um. (Head down) I just.. ah.. (head down) This is very painful, that this is happening at a time like this right now.

R: DO you have any idea where Lucas might be at this point?

E: (fake cries) (unintelligible [my god?]) I wish I did. (head down) Um. But if anyone does know, please say something. Because me and Dad are worried sick! (Fake cries) (head down, off screen) I keep thinking, I keep thinking of what could have happened, you know, and I keep thinking back to these two people, um.... that were outside of my house a few days prior,um, a black man and white woman.

R: Do you know them?

E: No. They were standing outside, they were talking, smoking a cigarette, it was actually pretty early morning, so I thought I'd be like "Hey, is everything Ok? Do you need to come inside, you know, are you stranded?' And they were just like "No" and um looked at me like I offended them or something. Um. And I said 'Ok, I'm sorry you know, it's cold outside, so I didn't know if you you know, you know, needed to come in, I was just being nice. Um, they stuck around for maybe 10, 15 more minutes, I actually did snap a picture of them walking away, cause I wanted to send it to their dad, and be like, hey, this is, you know, what's going on. Because I'm home alone.

R: Did you end up sending that picture?

E: Yes I did. I did. (Cries) THAT'S MY BABY BOY!! [it almost sounds like something was cut here, at the 3:30 mark] He has sisters and he has brothers. He is so loved.

R: Now Emily, I hope you understand, I do have to ask you, because of, you know, the arrest, and because of a lot of rumors, did you hurt Lucas?

E: I did not. I would never hurt my son.

R: Do you have any idea what could have happened?

E: (Shakes head, long pause) I mean, I have ideas, but that's, ideas, I mean, (head down) um, I really shouldn't have spoken to you, because my attorneys uh, uh, I have to go, ok?

R: Ok, yeah. Is there anything that you want to say?

E: I do, I do want people to know my side, I'm just not there yet, you know?

R: Ok.

E: Um. 'Cause there's a huge, there's a huge history, there, between you know Lucas' family in New Mexico and I, and all of the accusations, and the majority of the time when he had got hurt, and ended up with bruises, he wasn't under my care. Um, cause I would send him off with my cousins, and there's older boys over there, and, he's a very little, small boy, and. He can get hurt easily. And when he's playing with older boys, who are like, 10 years old, even though we would tell him 'hey, be careful' we had to tell him all the time you know 'be careful' ('cries')

R: So you're saying that all of those bruises and those things from the pictures and the accusations are all from him just being a little boy and playing with others boys?

E: Absolutely. I mean there's times where, he and my older boys, would be.. (Unintelligible) [I think she says "roughing around the house and they weren't even the agressors" 5:53] You know? Normal, boy things.

R: Is there anything that you would want to say to Lucas, if you could right now?

E: ('cries')That I love him very much. That I want him home. (wipes imaginary tears) I want him home with me and his sister and daddy. (unintelligible stuff)

R: Is there anything that you want to say to the people that are saying that you had something to do with this?

E: No, cause that's, that's on them. It's not my concern.

R: Can you tell me any more about what happened that Saturday when he disappeared?

E: Just the fact that I took a shower, and he took a nap. Like we always do. I put him down for a movie, in his pull up because, you know, he had accidents when he sleeps, so you know, that's why he had a pull up on... um.. and he had fallen asleep after my shower, which is why I went down. Ma'am, I gotta go.

R: I understand."

It's interesting that the entire interview is, in essence, Emily Glass proclaiming her innocence/providing explanations for Lucas's various marks and bruises, yet she claims to not care what the public thinks. She obviously cares very deeply about what we think, otherwise the interview would have been titled "Stepmom Pleads For Lucas's Return" or "Stepmom Seeks Answers in Lucas Hernandez's disappearance" or "Stepmom Asks For The Public's Help In Searching For Little Lucas" and she would have steered the focus of the interview in that direction, instead of simply telling her side of things and how "it's hard for her" and how she "shouldn't even be doing this interview, because of her lawyers" (paraphrased) as if she's doing Lucas or the public some huge favor in interviewing anyway.

Me too. I think she was strung out, freaked out, put him in a dumpster (sorry!), and he's found a permanent resting place with no chance of being located.

I just keep going back to the drugs (reported by LE via MSM). By the Grace of God I have no experience in this area, but wouldn't meth especially have an affect on a person's mental faculties, even when not under the influence?

Good thoughts!

Going by the initial MSM stories and alerts, the neighborhood was thoroughly searched that first evening/overnight/next day. It took them a while to deduce that he hadn't been abducted/run away.

LE Probably are looking at security tapes from the time they moved in. All of this takes real time to research and watch. And dumpster contents can be tracked. Cadaver dogs can pick up scent without going into detail. I still hold out hope that our very talented and highly trained local statewide and federal LE members can and will find him. Don’t give up on them and always express your most heartfelt appreciation for the job they are tasked to do.

EG does not show signs of a meth user IMO, I would not be surprised though if she uses something like oxy or smokes pot.

Marking my spot...

Kudos to Texas EquuSearch and all of the volunteers out there !

Also thanks to LE; they are doing all that they can --- and they cannot be blamed for suspects like EG and possibly others if they've (LE) been lied to. They can only proceed with what they are told.
It's upsetting think think of the efforts being made to find Lucas-- while someone(s) may know very well exactly where he is !

Also thanks to this group at WS -- there have been a lot of helpful suggestions and better yet -- we can 'agree to disagree'.
:moo:

ditto. LE is very active behind scenes. They have mounds of evidence to review in real time including anything from old apartment. Much of it may not yet be in their hands. And remember license plate readers can track a plate on anything she touched. That takes time. And perhaps scientific analysis. They will get the person responsible. And anyone who maybe obstructing or who might have helped her.

*shudders*. Very different than from where I live.

The sunsets here are very beautiful, but I can understand that in places like California and others, seeing those colors on the horizon might be alarming.

They are GORGEOUS. If not for that whole tornado thing I might want to live there.

Morning! I missed this last night but wanted to let you know I'm not from that area or even Kansas at all.
I'm glad for your input on the bird situation.
I'm also sorry if I offended anyone by posting the info. I've researched and been active in WS many times over the years and many of us know how crucial these intelligent birds can be in recoveries. Like in the Hannah Graham case.
Keeping the :candle: burning bright for little Lucas.

While I do understand it's a topic that is difficult, the family does want to find Lucas. They want him back regardless of the circumstances. They are not in denial of the possibilities. Unfortunately, bird activity is one thing to watch for. It's just not fair.

I always thought LE was trying to verify EG’s story of searching for Lucas when she woke from her “nap.” MOO

This I hadn't thought of. I think you are probably right. That this was her claim and they wanted to show they had tried to verify it.

I’m in OK and our sunset and sunrises are the same and absolutely beautiful!

I am so close to KS, but yet so far away. I would be helping search if I lived there. I soooo hope this sweet baby will be found.

IMO, anything I say is JMO
