Also want to note that, learning from Dylan's case, there are different types of specially trained dogs, air scent, water dogs, etc....

Dogs Rule!

They had a special K9 searching for Lucas.
http://ksn.com/2018/03/01/wpd-k9-following-his-nose-to-help-search-for-lucas-hernandez/

Other K9s have been searching for him, but Blue’s abilities are unique.

His training in live human scent discrimination allows Blue to get familiar with a person’s scent and find it, among many other smells.

“The well-trained dog in scent discrimination should be able to find a person even if there are hundreds of other people around such as river festival,” said Camp.

Camp says Blue can pick up a scent off of clothing, cell phones, shoes, and even car seats. And he’s able to find people after being gone for days.

“I’ve done trails four to five weeks old and been successful in them,” said Camp.

About the Social Media posting angle. If we assume she knows exactly what happened on that Friday evening and nobody else knew then the likliehood of her slipping up with social media hints would likely occur closer to the days immediately following after he went missing.

She would likely try to continue to do her normal routines and normal SM postings with any friends. During any of those SM activities she may slip up with subtle hints of where the boy could be. As time goes on I think she would get smarter about not posting anything incriminating but in those immediate days after that Friday there is a chance she may have inadvertently slipped a hint or two.

Ok so bear with me please...
If she took him in a car, you would still think it would be close because of her restricted license, wouldn't want to risk being pulled over. I'm trying to remember if we had a saturation patrol that weekend...they do about once a month or so if not more. I'll look it up. If we did chances of her going farther are reduced also I would think, increased risk. Also, he's 5, he is supposed to be in a car seat, law is 8yo or 80 lbs. I don't see her not using one, because of the risk of being pulled over without it. Is the car seat still at the home or in the car I wonder ...and this could be completely off base, could be she flaunted risk regularly and would relish the thrill... but if not the car seat might still be where ever he is...

I don't think a cadaver (human remains detection) dog would hit on a non-dead body. Certain chemicals that these dogs are trained to detect are only released after death. A person who is near death or in a coma wouldn't release the same chemicals.
That's what I meant but you said it better about the gas that the body lets off immediately after death. I have been up all night. I am actually sick today from thinking about it. My little grandson Brady is two and resembles Lucas in a way only with blonde hair and blue eyes. I can't bare the thought of it much more. My doctor had to call me over something.

I think I need.a break a little. I just went through my sister's murder trial last Feb.

You guys are wonderful. Keep up the good work.

We cannot sleuth family members.

If FindLucasAllen or Paddleboarder wishes to comment on this, that's fine, but they don't have to and no names should be mentioned.

Can I answer this from personal experience with the family?

Yes. Physically go to the courthouse and pull the file. There may be materials they will remove but the file is public. Of course they can make it difficult but that’s understandable. It’s a child related proceeding. Right now steps are being taken to preserve everything. And if EG has visitors LE wants the info she is getting from any source to be very controlled. Jail is not an easy place to be for most.

We need a verified insider to comment. There may be investigative reasons they are not releasing this information or they may just not think it's relevant. Let's wait and see if FindLucasAllen or Paddleboarder can comment.

Because something likely happened DUE to him being ill. If she said this, it would lead into "well, if he was sick, why didn't you take him to the doctor?" and then LE would know what happened, know what I mean? She's trying to remove herself from the situation completely so it can look like it's someone else's fault.

Absolutely 0 possibility of an illness causing his demise, imo. Every single accidental scenario is just fodder for a defense team to use, especially as we are over 2 weeks out, and he hasn't been found. Casey's team used a whole lot of scenarios from the internet.

edited to add- without a doctor confirming any illness Lucas had, I highly doubt he was sick at all- just a convenient excuse to keep him out of school, and unable to see family for visitation, etc. How convenient- a virus! smdh

To those getting posters to farms and such... can we please highlight for them to call in as a tip if they spotted headlights stopping or turning around in their area that night, Feb 16?

There was a case just a couple of years ago, or last summer, where a large property was getting the grass mowed and a body (of a child I think) was discovered just off the highway down in a culvert, camoflauged by tall grasses.
Yes there was also the farmer on his tractor who found Morgan Harrington's bones. Will never forget her Mother's strength. :anguish:.

"[FONT=&amp]On the morning of Jan. 26, 2010, Bass discovered the skeletal remains of 20-year-old college student Morgan Harrington while riding his tractor to inspect fences on his farm. Harrington had disappeared three months earlier, on Oct. 17, 2009, after leaving a Metallica concert on the UVA campus in Charlottesville. Her badly decomposed remains, which Bass first mistook for a deer, were found 200 yards off a public road on his property, 10 miles outside of Charlottesville, he said."

I sure hope he is found very soon so those who did this can be punished.

Still thinking of Lucas and working on quilt design to help me cope.

Piece by piece, stitch by stitch I'm praying, and sending out positive vibes, for Lucas.

I just read this so I guess we are not supposed to discuss cadaver dogs either.

We are to leave it to the experts I guess.
Sorry...

Good Luck Today

No, hon, the mod just dropped it here for interested people to read. Those threads typically don't allow discussion to clog them up. But you can talk dogs all you want here, I think. [emoji4]

that was what I kept telling my daughter when 1 the news stations was talking about 1 the dogs they took out to search and they showed on news how dog found a guy they had hide from dog. Dog searched and went right to just that guy. I said then if you are dead you will smell different than when you are alive, by then too much time had passed for a child Lucas's age to have been alive in a park alone in weather we have had. When I said same of FB they tore me up and was very mean.

A quick question, if anyne can answer.
When they moved, did they rent a van? Uhaul? Storage unit?
How were their belongings moved?

TIA
