Her husband apparently tells her all the time he has large thighs from roller blading. Skate boarding wont do it but roller bladers often have large thighs. Junction city about 20 min outside of Manhattan had a new skate park around that time.

any style of skating, IIRC Kristi Yamguchi mentioned that she couldn't wear blue jeans until she retired from competitive skating, she was too muscular.

But -- where are large thighs mentioned in connection with this case?

'The victims who could describe their assailant said he was white, wore a mask, had a belly and threatened them with a handgun, he said. He was described as being between 5-foot-9 to 6 feet tall.
"In 2015, he was described as a white male, approximately 5-foot-10, and heavier set, most noticeably around the stomach and thighs," authorities said in a news release. "The prominent stomach was a frequently mentioned characteristic from previous cases. As for age, we believe the assailant was at least 33 years old at the time of the 2015 incident based upon the date of the earliest case."
Schoen described the many similarities in the attacks.
Almost all occurred between 2 a.m. and 4:30 a.m., while the victims slept, and all but one occurred during breaks in the academic calendar at the schools, which are about 85 miles apart.'

I found the time line. I looked to see if they were primarily during a specific day or days. It looked like Friday or weekend attacks until 2004, so no pattern there.

All but one during academic breaks, so there are probably aren't many residents in the apartments then. Someone mentioned Ft. Riley. Ft. Riley is home to the First Infantry division among other units. I wonder if there is a connection there.
The break between 2007 and 2015 is interesting. Did he have a family during that time? Or was he somewhere else committing rapes? And supposedly nothing in the last 4 years?

“These were all violent acts carried out by an assailant who did so in a cold, calm, calculated manner,” said Brad Schoen, director of the Riley County Police Department. “In most cases, a handgun was displayed.”

Investigators have linked 14 cases in Manhattan and Lawrence, including two attempted rapes. All the victims were students at Kansas State University or the University of Kansas. All but one attack took place during academic breaks, such as summer or holidays. Most occurred between 2 and 4:30 a.m.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a prominent stomach and large thighs. Authorities estimate him to be in his mid-30s.

The last known case, an attempted rape on July 27, 2015, in Manhattan, occurred in the same block where K-State students were raped in 2003 and 2004.

Officials said they had created a website asking for the public’s help. The site, , allows people to read information about the crimes and to provide tips and assistance to help solve the case.

An anonymous donor has provided a $10,000 reward for information leading to the rapist’s arrest and prosecution.

“We are here today because we need the public’s help,” said Anthony Brixius, Lawrence’s interim police chief.

I'm not sure why this article is dated from today. All of this information was released in 2017 and the police director in the article is now retired. I guess it's good that's there's any media about the rapist but odd that all the info is 2 years old with today's date.

Does this mean that they cant prosecute anymore? I think the 2015 was only an attempted rape.

While physically he doesn't meet the description of the rapist he may have lost weight over the years. He also is a few years older than the suspect is but only by a few years. Sean was a state highway patrol officer and then an insurance agent in Manhattan. He grew up in Manhattan too. Not sure where he lived in the early to mid 2000's when most of the rapes took place but since he is from Manhattan and the rapes took place over breaks he clings have been back visiting family if he didn't live in Manhattan during that time. I will try to find out more about him but he has deleted his social media.

Your welcome! I don't know him personally but my neighbor went to high school with him and is devastated. He coached her son's travel baseball team and he helped with her church's youth group.

I have no doubt if he is responsible for more rapes RCPD will figure it out but I have always believed the rapist is orignally from Manhattan and the fact that Sean Morgan is being charged with 2 rapes 3 years apart tells me he could absolutely be a serial rapist. Also I have found some more pictures of him and his weight appears to fluctuate alot. It looks like he and his wife have owned homes in Manhattan since 2005 until summer of 2018 when it appears they moved to Texas.

I think a week before this there was something on news about how bad the police are for not catching rapists or something like that. But they dont know who it is and they state that so wouldnt that encourage the rapist. So I am not sure if it deters the rapist or makes him want to do it more. But now all these people are looking for people who drive by all the time . They going to get a lot of police calls for strange activity. Lol

Size, thigh-wise, seems indicative of KU students having to climb Mt. Oread daily. Old joke had it that the visible difference between seniors and freshmen was primarily that of the size of their thighs.

Thanks, nice to have a fresh link even though they do not have any new information, it is so important to remind students to be aware of this predator!
The perp as depicted in the sketch has a sort of exotic, unusual appearance, curious about his ethnicity and wondering if any of his victims noted an accent or speech impediment of any kind?

"LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) - Authorities in Kansas are urging students in university communities to stay vigilant over the winter holidays but they have no new updates about a serial rapist known to attack over breaks in college classes.
