This case is very confusing:

1) We know that Andrea left her sister's house ~1am on 08/13/19. She was upset and started calling people looking for a ride. We don't know if she was asking to be taken to a specific place. She most likely wasn't asking to be taken to where she was staying or her mother's house, as it has been stated here on WS that both were within walking distance (1/2 mile and 1 mile).

2) The MIA group conducted a search near the Ohio river. It does not appear that the river is within walking distance from Audubon Park. Are they looking for her body?

3) Now the Finding Andrea group is asking for fliers to be distributed in Lexington, which is ~80 miles away. The reason is that Andrea has some relatives in Lexington and they might have picked her up.

4) No word on any banking activity that I have been able to find.

I guess you could technically walk down to the river but it would prob take 3-4 hours, unless you walked kind of fast. It’s not a walk I would want to take at that time of night, you’d have to go through some really sketchy parts of town. Poplar level will take you down there though, it cuts off and you have to turn onto another street. I think google maps might actually have the walk taking a little under 2 hours.

The locations are confusing to me bc I don’t really understand how she would end up on Fincastle, going towards poplar level if she was walking from and to streets that would most likely be west of where Fincastle is...

Idk. Searching down by the waterfront throws me off. Maybe they searched just as a precaution? I read in one of the local news articles that the first 48 was also filming them while searching for Andrea so maybe it was also to get some type of footage?

she started on Fincastle. That is where her sister lived. The area they are searching by the river is known as Towhead Island and would be the dumbest place to put a body. It's not a hidden area. Lots of boats with cameras etc.

"Filmed in various cities in the United States, the series [The First 48] offers an insider's look at the real-life world of homicide investigators."

So, they (MIA, LE, ?) are considering this case to be a homicide? (Doubtful, at this point IMO.)
Or, they just wanted some generic search footage?
More strangeness about this case, JMO.

Anyone found Andrea in NAMuS yet?
Any local LE update?
I have read all the MSM over and over.
Any thing on SM from local LE.
Are the local LE posting her missing poster anywhere?
Any thoughts she could of been taken out of State?

I’m like 96% sure the house she started from wasn’t on Fincastle. It doesn’t look like they’re actually on towhead either. It looks like they’re around the rowing club or where that old liquor store used to be that got torn down when they added the splash pads to the water front.

I haven’t seen anything from LE. They actively post on their FB pages but it’s mostly about drug busts. I know that people in the area are saying that they’ve seen LE out the past couple days but idk how true it is. I know early on, they had mentioned Louisville and southern Indiana as places she could potentially be bc of her different connections with people. It’s possible. It’s about a 20 minute drive across the bridge to get to southern Indiana.

I just remembered something. Last night, the PI commented about the search off poplar level being done bc there was flash flooding at the time. they wanted to check around beargrass creek just to make sure there hadn’t been some type of accident while she was walking that night. Beargrass lets out right in that area they were searching down on the river and I wonder if that’s why that location was chosen. They may not have had any kind of actual tip that led them there, but were doing it just to be sure.

With all the boots on the ground. All hands on deck. All the coverage and no leads we know of.......PLUS EXPERENCED LOCATOR ON CASE.
This is getting a little scary.
Where is ANDREA?

I wish they would allow public searches and accept volunteers bc it doesn’t look like that many people are in the search group.

I think photos and what we can see on SM is only the MIA group.
You being here on this thread is great.
You are giving the local info.
I witnessed your informative posts on other local missing.
I appreciate you. I think I can say we all do.

Here’s a pic. I dropped a pin where beargrass let’s out. I dropped a smaller pin to label where the big 4 bridge is. The island you see is what @Erika1974 was referring to, towhead island.

No problem :) this type of disappearance isn’t typical in Louisville. Every thing is being kept so quiet. I’m sure people who actually live in the neighborhood are probably feeling pretty concerned since nobody can say anything for sure as far as fouls play vs none. Lmpd’s lack of comment and urgency makes me think they still don’t suspect she was met with harm. The whole thing is sad. I wish LMPD would just do a media blitz and put her name and pic out on every thing bc even though Louisville is big, it’s not THAT big, especially if there was a reward.

LMPD needs to be shaken til their teeth fall out. She didn’t have a plan to leave, as she was calling people for rides. Even someone leaving voluntarily can be in danger. This is maddening.

LMPD is coordinating with MIA and their two PIs according to MIA.
MIA appears to be distributing 'Missing' posters around the Louisville area and coordinating at least one search utilizing their volunteers.
The PI did make a statement that they had gone door to door to "several houses" in the Audubon Park neighborhood.

It would be helpful if they would share information about what she said to those she called immediately after leaving her sister's house.

Or what area of town she was needing a ride to.

I saw where the PI left another comment on the family’s page about checking the streets around New Circle in Lexington in case she’s sleeping out there.

This is an "out there" idea, I know, but it came to me this morning. With her work in past Missing Person cases, could she have gotten to know the homeless community in the city? Perhaps she was at rock bottom in terms of finances and didn't want to let anyone know, so she slipped into the homeless community with people she knows and they are keeping quiet for her?

I know, not likely, but, like I said, the idea popped into my head out of the blue so thought I'd add it to the list of possibilities. I don't actually know if she is having severe financial issues but am speculating only. I guess I'm leaning toward ideas that will result in her safe return.

I had some similar thoughts. There are some pretty big “camps” around downtown. Lmpd breaks them up and makes them move quite often. I’m hoping they put her fliers up down there. I read on the finding Andrea page that they put a bunch of fliers down around 4th street live, so hopefully they hit up the other streets surrounding it.

But why put your family through something like that?
