But why put your family through something like that?

That’s why I think something bad has happened. That being said, I will gladly eat my words if she turns up safe and sound and will welcome that outcome.

The only way JMO if this is the case, I would assume some sort of servere MENTAL BREAKDOWN.
Psychotic episode.
Or accident with complete memory loss.
However I do not feel the above.
Just not sure as there has been no information to support the above.
Her character that we see shows she would not do this on purpose.
But life was knocking her down and bless her heart I hope she is located soon. Each day not found is hell on her loved ones.

I agree 1000%

IDK, but if she is suffering distress, stress, mental health issues, she might not be thinking logically.

I don't know if any of that applies to her, but I'm willing to bet she doesn't want to be the cause of hurt.

Edited to add: We who are thinking logically can't assume that others with issues also think logically. Sometimes people think their family will be better off without them and their actions - in their minds - is not mean or selfish.

Or drugs.

@bears10
I have experiences with tracking the drug enduced MIA.
The ones I have located left a trail.
Even the ones picked up by someone.
However with drugs comes the psychotic episodes. Some are thrown out at local hospital's. Others not so lucky. I have learned that when money or drugs are gone. Most reach out to love ones.
I am not picking up this on ANDREA.
If it was a binge it would be over already.
I really MOO think that without any leads being given or a location soon we may be in for a sad ending.
I remain hopeful.

I was out at my parents today for my moms bday and decided to drive through Audubon park and Fincastle. I saw printed fliers on some telephone poles but not a whole lot around Audubon park. They were mostly in the area behind the apartments, where the creek is, and the metal bridges that you walk across. I was definitely expecting to see a lot more than I did. Every thing seemed quiet like it usually does. I really think it would be a good idea to plaster her flier up and down polar level rd. I took some pics and when I get home I’ll go through them and upload.

She could have left while on drugs and then something happened from there. Her families reluctance to share details and their defensiveness makes me think there is something more to the story that they feel would look unflattering to the public.

We don't what kind of advice the family is or isn’t getting. If LMPD is like, whatever, the family may feel sort of lost?
If it was me and mine, I would have a massive boots on the ground/fliers etc.

Missing in America isn’t doing public searches right now. On the SM page, they said they were worried it could compromise the investigation. Most of the cases I’ve followed have allowed for volunteer searchers. At the very least, they’ve allowed for people to help by dropping off supplies. I don’t know what all areas have been searched besides off poplar level and down by the waterfront downtown. It doesn’t rly bother me that they haven’t put her into NAMUS yet, but i guess it is kind of surprising that MIA hasn’t informed them to since they’re a missing persons group.

Here’s a link to some of the pics I took earlier. The first 3 are pics of the Audubon park area, just to kind of give an idea of what it looks like. The rest of them are from behind Fincastle, and on Fincastle. There’s also a really short clip driving down Fincastle so you could kind of see how congested it is.

@jULIA_bEE
Great photos.
Awesome
So I assume MIA pulling away from searches. Due to conflict of interest.
Is Tracy PI still on case.
Maybe too many chiefs and not enough Indians.
Or case going in a certain direction?

It doesn’t look like they’re pulling away. They’re still involved and the two PI’s look like they’re still in it too. If they’re still searching, they’re not really disclosing where or when. I guarantee over half the city has no idea about Andrea’s disappearance. MIA took the story to national media but it’s mot getting much locally. There hasn’t been any updates and when they do request help, it’s to print fliers and hang them up. I’m hoping they have some kind of game plan bc according to the Finding Andrea page, they’re spending 18 hrs a day searching. Idk if they were out there today or not. They haven’t said anything else about areas they’ve looked at since the last pictures of the search down around the waterfront a few days ago.

The statement made as compromise the investigation leads me to believe, something maybe going on.
But as you said they are still putting fliers out.
It's Sept 1st. Her Children have school.
It must be so hard on them.

Ohhh sorry! I was very clear lol. I meant that they’re not accepting volunteers to help with searches. I think they could really use the community to their advantage if they would allow volunteers who wanted to help.
