Found Safe KY - Charlee Campbell, 2, *autistic* & Pitbull Terrier Named Penny, Bullitt County, 7 Jun 2018

In that long press conference yesterday someone mentioned - could have been the Sheriff or a reporter - that the paternal grandparents had filed for emergency custody. Don't know if that is what the Wednesday hearing will be about or not.
Well, I hope that they check out the paternal grandparents very, very well. It seems that they were not able to raise their son (Charlee's father) all that well.

I wonder if she will wear the "Who Asked You" t-shirt?

I don't wanna sound picky, but it said "Nobody asked You" but it's still just as smart-assy. And she's creepy. I just now saw what she looks like.

Is that thing on her door one of those UPS "Sorry We Missed You" notes?

I agree that applicants should be investigated very thoroughly.

Sometimes parents can raise a child "right", but once that child becomes an adult, they may choose a different path, and not necessarily in tune with how they were raised. Maybe sometimes it's not the parents' fault if their child turns out "bad". All this is IMO.

I agree, husband and I were each the oldest of 6 kids. Raised with both parents. Our siblings ran the gambit of problems. Some drugs, some drinking, some choosing the wrong men or women, some DV, but on each side of the family you had your college graduates, careers til retirement, business owners, home owners and successes as well.

After a point, it just depends on the kid and not the upbringing.

And if the paternal grandparents are given custody there should be an assurance that their son won’t be able to be at his parents home, since he has been denied visitation rights.

I didn’t realize biodad was denied visitation? I thought it was just mom/ grandma who didn’t let him see Charlee.

I'm beginning to doubt that Grandma woke up late. I don't think she went to bed at all. If she and a friend were partaking in meth or other amphetamines, it's not unusual to miss a normal sleep cycle. "Staying up all night" can also mean being too wired to sleep for many, many hours. I don't doubt that Grandma was "distracted." Perhaps she told LE she slept and awoke to minimize her impairment. Or, maybe she was giving herself a few hours to "come down" a bit and not appear to be a "tweaker." IMO
Still trying to catch up but THANK YOU. When I first read that grandma was up all night doing meth my next thought was "then there's no way in Hello she went to sleep after".

ETA... grandma was up all night doing meth. So she was wired to the gills WHEN Charlee went missing. Wide awake in the same house as that baby, but the baby goes missing and she never noticed? No way... no how.

I don't know that we have heard or seen anything in the media concerning Charlee's father other than he exists and they had searched his home.

Yes. That is what the sheriff had said in a brief presser he did with the media on Friday around noon or a little later. The written stories even had it in their stories however many of those site simply replaced the existing story with updated information and removed earlier stuff so it isn't there. I am still trying to find the video.

What the sheriff was saying was that Charlee's father had been in the area visiting family and had attempted to visit Charlee but was denied by the Grandmother. There is zero indication that courts had said he had no visitation rights. No one had ever said that. It could be true but that is not how it was stated by the Sheriff several hours before Charlee turned up.

Incidentally, Charlee's father is easy to find and identify. Court case searches only turn up a divorce that is still on-going (probably child support related) and there is a contempt of court for slander/libel which I suspect is also related to that divorce. He is 32.

This.. my two children were raised by the same 2 parents, they are absolutely at opposite ends of the spectrum for what two adults can now be.

Bullitt County attorney: I have no open case on grandma of missing girl

The Bullitt County attorney says his office has no open case against the grandmother of the girl who was missing for nearly 36 hours last week and will not present a charge until the investigation is complete.

John Wooldridge's description of the status of criminal proceedings against the grandmother, Beth Campbell, 40, directly contradicts what the Bullitt County sheriff has said publicly — and what has been widely reported by local news outlets — that Campbell was charged with endangering the welfare of a minor.

Sheriff Donnie Tinnell told Courier Journal on Wednesday morning that Campbell had been charged and that he wanted to get help for her granddaughter, 2-year-old Charlee Nichole Campbell, who was missing until Friday evening.

"I just want to bring it into court and have (Campbell) answer to charges of neglect," Tinnell said. "I think there was serious neglect involved."

But Wooldridge said that his office, which would act as prosecutor, has no open case.

Oh great, now we have conflicting stores from MSM on whether Grandma is even being brought up in charges. Gotta love MSM.
