I see a scared teen . Who wouldnt be in his shoes? Interestting that the camera now shows his face head on. During trial we got him from the back. Also looking from the back all the chairs were at the same height.

The chairs were not at the same height during the testimony.

Defense wants jury to come back in court and watch it with everyone present. I think judge ok'd that

Why? So the defense can jump up and ask for sidebars when something comes up that they don't like? Jury may want to discuss this amongst themselves and stop and rewind as they discuss.

Judge why are you limiting evidence to in court????

Thanks for this, I agree with you, I have one other point I'd like to make, even if - and I don't believe it to be the case, but if Joshua did have a hand in it, I think he was told to by his criminal father and as a 15 year old (at the time) should not be charged as an adult or be given the pushishment of an adult.

He simply does not have the same understanding of an adult at that age and when instructed by someone he's said he adores and wants to be with, and is an adult, it falls on that adult's shoulders. I just don't think you can hold this child responsible for the deeds of his father. And I never want his father out of prison, he is a walking human corruption.

I respectfully disagree. A 15 year old certainly knows right from wrong and if they commit adult like crimes they should be tried as an adult. That is why they are in most cases like this one if it is a heinous murder. Heck those much younger than JY have been tried as an adult and convicted. So JY is not special when it comes to being tried as an adult.

That would be no different in my opinion than saying the Mason Groupies shouldn't be judged as harshly because they adored and worshipped Manson to an extreme. Or even someone who had an abusive father or mother giving them a license to kill without accountability.

Anyone who has the capability of brutally murdering someone with a baseball bat should be held accountable because they are very dangerous to society. There is no evidence he pushed JY into doing this crime. In fact it seems like he let JY get away with everything he wanted to do including murder.

That would also be like saying murderers have an excuse and should be treated differently just because they were abused or neglected and shouldn't be punished as harshly. There is no excuse for murdering someone or conspiring to murder an innocent victim who had never harmed a soul. Abuse does not make someone into a murderer, imo. Killing someone makes them a murderer.

I think his father ran his mouth in front of him how Amanda aborted his baby and JY didn't like Trey anyway so he murdered him.

10 minute restroom break for the jurors, jurors have to use the restroom in the jury room.

Defendant thinking during this replaying of his father's testimony...

'Remember to look sad, remember to look confused, repeat these two until I get away with it and am set freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee'.

JY not looking so sad, scared or emotional out of the eyes of the jury...

I will admit, he does do the confused look well.

Dang, there is way too much going on at the same time today. My mind is scrambled. How much time has Jury been deliberating?

I still don't like this defense and this judge stipulating that the jury can review taped interviews in court.

Judge is limiting the jury's access to evidence IMO.

I can remember that being very ackward while I was on jury duty. The bathroom in the juryroom had a very thick door but there was at least two inches of space open at the bottom of the door. Jury room was very small with room just large enough for an oval table with twelve chairs. You could hear every sound coming from the bathroom. One of the jurors was a beautician and actually cut a young male's hair while we were waiting out a sidebar.

So did Ed Norton as Aaron in Primal Fear.

:scared:

So did that sob Joshua Powell. I remember that big dopey, confused look on his mug. I bet he didn't look like that when he killed his wife. I bet he didn't look like that when he took a hatchet to his two young sons killing them before offing his miserable self and setting the home on fire.

Trial testimony is usually read back in the court room.
They are lucky they're seeing the video of the testimony replayed.

I can't think of a case where jurors are given the testimony to bring back in the jury room with them.

I remember the judges in other cases telling the jury that if they wanted to review any of the evidence it would be brought to them in their room. Not back to the courtroom. Maybe different States.

Evidence as in physical evidence, this is a witnesses testimony which is different.

I respectfully disagree that the chair was lowered though the trial to deceive. I went back and looked over several days all shots were from the back not the front so you could see the seat height. Over several days the chairs were different heights sometimes JY's chair was higher the male prosecutor. Maybe they are adjustable and the person sitting it is able to adjust to their comfort level at will. :)
