Kyle Clifford: Wanted in connection with triple murder in Bushey, 3 women murdered in home, 9th July 2024 *arrest*

He is paralysed from a self-inflicted wound from before he was caught, when the police closed in on him.
Ah yeah I'd forgotten he shot himself as well, ta.

With his crossbow, in case you forgot that part too. I don't see how that's possible, because it seems like there would need to be some distance between the crossbow and him, but I've never shot one, so I guess I just don't know. But yes, that's what he did. I believe he was paralyzed from it, but I haven't heard if his condition is the same now or not.

From July 2024

"But it is now claimed that Clifford, from Enfield, is still in hospital
and has been left paralysed as a result of his injuries.

The suspect is believed to have pierced his spinal cord,
leaving him unlikely to walk again."

"He fired a bolt into his upper body
before police could get to him the day after
and was found
unconscious in a cemetery near his home in Enfield."

from 5th Dec

"Kyle Clifford appeared in court via video link this afternoon, after he was expected to appear in person.

The defendant had been set to appear in Cambridge Crown Court at 3pm (December 5) ...

Clifford, 26, of Rendlesham Road, Enfield, will next appear at the same court on December 19 for a plea and trial preparation hearing."

Impossible to feel even a smidgeon of sympathy for him.

Kyle Clifford has pleaded not guilty to murdering a BBC commentator’s wife and two of their daughters and faces a further charge of rape.

[...]

Cambridge Crown Court heard the defendant is also accused of rape after the charge was added to the indictment against him during the court appearance today (December 19).

The rape charge is related to his ex girlfriend so I wonder if he did that before he killed her?

Anyone care to speculate on why he pled NG? It's not just him spitting In people's faces is it? I bet it is.

Absolutely has to be huh. Just extending the torment for their family. Same as LL. There are no words.

This is one of the big things I don't understand. You can work yourself up to taking another life, and in such a brazen "in your face" way, but can't be man enough to own it and face the consequences. I have the same issue with the kentucky sheriff.

He never planned to face consequences or admit what he did - that's why he tried to end his own life after it. Coward.

Right? He probably wants them to suffer even more by hearing all the details in the trial.

I really couldn't hate this evil man more.

It is absolutely indisputable that he is responsible. What a very unpleasant dishonorable and shameful human being, his victims being worth one thousand of him!

I guess
he doesn't care about anything any more.
Confined to a wheelchair and prison,
only bitterness and hatred are left.

Hateful man.

I'm generally against the ultimate punishment in probably 90% of cases however when you get someone who spits in the faces of victims I think it's an option worth considering. Especially and mostly if there is no doubt.

What is the situation for the defence when their client is clearly in a bad position and yet pleads not guilty? They have to ensure a fair trial of course, but are there any differences when there is so much evidence and the client rejects advice to plead guilty?

<modsnip - unnecessary>
