Kyron's parents' statements, interviews

Any vagueness I believe is because the answer to that question regarding the appointment is something LE doesn't want out as public knowledge for whatever reason.

I agree, but due to the hour, i was unable to express it as well as you! I have reasons why I believe they don't want it public knowledge, but I will refrain from elaborating.

I believe this falls in line with what Kaine said at the bizarro press conference last week - didn't he say they would be releasing updates on Mondays and Thursdays?

Kaine seems far more forthcoming with information in this. Um...mostly to give HIS whereabouts, but I'm not complaining. Anything is better than "no comment."

Terri was already in the house, on her laptop....

Why was that important enough to mention? Terri could have been doing anything when he arrived home, i.e., painting her nails, eating a burrito.. But to specifically mention her being on her laptop at that hour is very interesting. *raising an eyebrow*

I still wonder why he was home at 1:45. I can think of lots of reasons but would like to know HIS. Could be simple, but haven't caught it fly by yet.
Please, NO NEED for the *probaby's*--has anyone seen anything SPECIFIC about why he was home that afternoon at 1:45? Or does he have a sked that puts him home at that time? Sorry to be hanging onto the detail of his work thing, but it is curious to me.

Yes I was. I walked Kiara down to the bus stop about 3:35 with Terri following close after we left. We all arrived down at the bus stop together and waited as the bus came to the stop.

Maybe because she knew he would not be there she walked slower............... Trying to go over in her mind how she would act when he was not on the bus.

my theory is that she had a problem separating from her laptop.

Q: What was planned for Kyron to be doing this week if he had not disappeared?

A: He was supposed to be in California on vacation with his dad visiting friends – swimming, BBQ’ing, playing mini-golf, going to the water slides, a possible trip to the races, visiting to Monterey, and watching fireworks/celebrating the 4th of July with everyone.
http://www.kptv.com/news/24151901/detail.html

I take from it that it was not planned to be a "family" vacation or am I misinterpreting it?
Sounds to me like it wasn't planned that TH would be going.
I think because he has now taken TH out of HIS life he was just not thinking of her when answering that question. In his mind she's no longer family.

this is a jmo of course. but of course since it doesnt apply to the common theories, i look like an idiot

I don't think you are an idiot and I think you make a very good point. KPTV agreed to KH's ground rules in last Thursday's meeting, so personally, I have to keep that in mind as to objectivity and agendas. The beginning of the article states:

"Kyron Horman's father, biological mother and stepfather answered several questions on Monday, about the investigation surrounding Kyron's disappearance.
The answers, in their entirety, are listed below:"

BBM

We don't know what questions were asked that weren't answered and not allowed to be printed. It's one thing for an interviewee to control the answers, and another for an interviewee to also control the question. The line between journalism and press releases have been blurred for me since the "team" meeting. Just my opinion.

i dont care if they arrest the easter bunny with the tooth fairy as his accomplice at this point.

if it brings kyron home, so be it

I want to also say to Kyron's Mom and Dad and family that is reading here. We are thinking and praying for your family. I know answering ANY of them questions must be hard so I thank you for what you have answered for us.

This past Thursday, July 1, Desiree Young, Kyron's biological mother, accompanied by her current husband and Kaine Horman, made an emotional, televised plea to Terri, to "cooperate with investigators to bring Kyron home."
But the day after that plea, on Friday, July 2, Sheriff Staton emphasized that Terri Horman "Has been cooperative throughout this entire process." He also points out that, since she is not a "person of interest", there is not sufficient evidence to bring to a grand jury or a prosecutor.
However, a potential attempt to hire a hit man to kill her husband could be a different criminal case, which could be prosecuted separatedly. Whether it actually will be could be determined, as Staton said, during "the coming week".

BBM

Not sure how "the Sheriff’s statement could have been misinterpreted and possibly reflects Terri’s cooperation to participate in prior weeks during the investigation."

This one sure is a puzzler.

MOO

Here is what I am thinking. LE says she is cooperating which in theory might be true. Possibly KH and DY know that she lied during the poly, so while in theory she is cooperating but not really. Get it? Just a thought.

"Dr. Bones, I'm Kaine Horman, Kyron's father. When was Kyron scheduled for an appointment?

Thank you."

*hang up*

All I'm saying is, being married and having kids myself; I can fully see why my husband may not make a point to remember an appt date or time, if I am the one taking my child to the appt..

Who elese noticed he could not comment on the Murder for Hire? Says to me SOMETHING was said about it or elese he would of said not that I'm aware of or something like that. IMO

I think the OP is talking about after the fact. It would be pretty simple to confirm whether an appt. had been made. Personally, I think one was made. And I'm also pretty confident that LE has looked into it.

he obviously knows about it but cant comment on it per LE.

The cynical part of me wonders, exactly how long has he known?

True, but, enough time has passed that surely someone, either in LE or the family would have called the dr and checked this.

The only thing I can think is the teacher claimed this, but, everyone in the family claimed to not know anything about this, ergo, no doctor's office to call. I would think if this were true, and, at this point, I don't recall where this ever came from, LE or comments or friends, etc., the teacher would have had the paperwork. I don't recall ever seeing that the teacher had completed the paperwork and returned to TH.

Is it me, or does it seem a bit 'late' for all this Q&A? I wonder why these answers couldn't be made public earlier?

I also wonder how many questions they were asked compared to how many questions they actually answered.

I'm seeing it as they have a profiler and tons of LE very carefully orchestrating this whole thing to get the perp to let down their guard- or rather to inflame the perp into talking and telling their version of events....perhaps even against the advice of an atty.

Who wouldn't want to tell their side of the story if your family is throwing you under the bus, and polishing their own images while muddying yours?

Perhaps. But I don't buy that he hasn't confirmed if there was indeed an appointment, considering it's a big piece of the puzzle regarding when and how his son disappeared, and why possibly no alarms went off with the teacher. If that is something he can't talk about d/t the investigation, then why bother to even answer the question in the first place? Just toss it aside with all the rest left unanswered.

Good point. Some other possibilities:

1. Maybe it was a father/son trip
2. Traveling with a 19-month old does not make for the smoothest vacation. There are some people out there who hold off traveling with their kids (especially flying if they have to) until they are older and there is better communication/understanding between the parent and child.

i was very supportive of all the family in the beginning cause i was convinced someone snacthed him at school or something happened at school (kid on kid violence maybe) now this is one big convuluted mess and i dont know what or who to believe.

I don't think Kaine is polishing his image. If I was Terri's attorney I'd continue to keep her quiet and hope Kaine keeps on talkin'.

Thank you. That is what is bugging me. We are only being fed info by them that they want us to hear, so that we believe what they want us to believe. The LE are doing the same, but the two don't even agree anymore. You can often tell more by what isn't answered than what is, but we aren't allowed to see. It's either off record, or in writing that we aren't privileged to see.

Other than looking forward to rejoicing when Kyron is brought home safe, I think I may have to walk away from all of this and wait for the book and movie that is sure to come.

I feel like I am being played, and I really hate being played.

May God bless all those that are innocent and damn those that aren't. May we in time find out just who those are. May he also bring Kyron home to Desiree. Other than that, I am going to try my best to not think anymore.

I haven't read or seen any specific reason why he was home that afternoon.

I'm sorry, I know you don't want to hear theories, but I think it's important to mention. Many corporations (specifically IT companies) freely offer work from home/telecommute options. Most people take advantage of this on FRIDAY afternoons. Very, very common.

Yes, Intel allows employees to work from home. You can read about Intel's work-from-home options here:
http://www.intel.com/lifeatintel/ger/lifework/
Here is a quote from an Intel employee on that web page: "As a working mother if I need to be at home, I can work from home. Intel gives me that freedom."

Most likely, Kaine simply worked in the office in the morning, then left to finish the day 'working from home' aka telecommuting. He probably did this every Friday, especially in summer.
