Kyron's parents' statements, interviews

I'm thinking that either the grim reality has set in and they have been told to lay low or
they are doing something very behind the scenes.

Can anyone tell me why news crews aren't camped outside the homes of people like Terri's parents, or even Kaine. Not that I wish it on them, but look at how the press dogged the Anthony's. I actually went by the A's home and I will never forget the hum of the news vans, what it was like to walk over all the various cords and how the press bee-lined it towards the car of some social worker that was visiting C & G. I get the feeling that either Portland is a much smaller market (even tho Kyron is national news) or they are a heck of alot more civilized.

I think that they've been silent because they are confident that the case is going to break soon with the GJ testimony. They've said their piece; their work is done. I think they spoke out so much about Terri to convince any of her friends who may have been "too loyal" to her to come forward before to come forward now with anything they know (like bat phones.) I think they are waiting for Kyron to be found but no longer expect anyone in the public to spot him anywhere. And also there is no reason to go out of their way to keep him in the spotlight because all these new developments keep his case in the headlines.

I will say, that I keep playing in my head this awesome fantasy that they have found Kyron alive and have been reunited with him and have been spending time with him in a secret location. And today, at the press conference, they will be there, with Kyron in arms.

Yeah, I'm aware there is about a 0.000001% chance of this happening. But it's nice to dream, isn't it?

I've been wondering this for awhile! I live in Portland, so I know they can be absolute vultures when they want to be.

As for the KH and DY silence, I *hope* it's because they've been told that they are close to finding Kyron and don't feel the need to be in the media all the time anymore, but I'm afraid it's because they are starting to accept that he may not come back to them alive and just want their privacy now.

Just curious as I am really behind on this case but how are they making themselves look bad??

I believe with Kyron missing, having to go back to work, he still has a baby to support, and tending to said baby, there is probably not much time for anything else, they have begged and pleaded for Kyrons safe return, what else can they say?? JMO

I was wondering if they would be at the presser today, but usually that's announced beforehand. I'm thinking not, but I dunno.

I posted on Kat's poll this morning that I would have added Kaine and/or Desiree's appearance to the list of possible choices. Since they spoke briefly at the last LE presser, I wonder if they will say a few words today? jmo

Right--every Monday and Thursday, with taped interviews being released on Fridays, "because that is the day Kyron disappeared".

I have not heard anything about why they haven't done that for the past week or so, but my feelings have been that it is a combination of factors.

For one thing, there is the Grand Jury and also a lot of leads being actively pursued by LE. They could be too busy with responsibilities related to that (though in the past when that has been the case, they have made announcement saying so). Or maybe LE has asked them to stay low for awhile.

Another possibility is that the additional info that has come out (which may also include details that we have not yet heard) may been too emotionally upsetting to them, so that either they wish to stay private, or they aren't sure how to react, or they are starting to fear the worst and dread that question being asked of them at this point.

I think due to the experience of testifying at the GJ and perhaps deducing from that experience that Kyron likely is not alive, that the reality of situation has overtaken them.

I also think that they may have many skeletons and faults of their own, and their continued airing of Terri's faults in the press, in the end does nothing to help find Kyron and potentially could have an adverse effect in the long term on the other children/step children impacted by this mess.

I wouldn't be surprised if GAG orders were issued to everyone.Especialy with the Grand Jury going on now.I feel it should have happened a long time ago.

I dont think there making themselves look bad in the slightest.

In my opinion the only ones whose making themselves look bad is Terri and Dede.

The parents are doing what they can to find there child as unfortunately Terri and Dede dont seem too obliging in that matter.

I can't imagine who would tell grieving parents that they "look bad" for sitting with reporters to talk about their missing son.

They have been remarkably resilient and open in their willingness to share even private information if it meant keeping their son's image in people's consciousness. I'm sure they'd rather grieve in private and keep their past mistakes to themselves, like most of us are allowed to, but circumstances disallowed that - painful.

I agree with this. I think they did what they had to do regarding keeping Kyron's image out there, bringing in tips, showing people (and potential kidnappers/accomplices) the realities of the grieving family the crime left behind and being some of the only people willing to communicate with a public pretty starved for information.

Maybe the GJ is taking over their energy and attention right now and they are trying to do prepare themselves for the next step.

Like I stated, reading on the internet and/or someone perhaps telling them they aren't doing their case any good by theatening people, DDS comes to mind, and/or asking anyone who even knows Terri or has ever spoken to her to come forward, and the difference of opinion between KH - TH and J's real father about why he moved/had to move out of his mother's place of abode. There's lots more, but these are some of the things I've noticed. Of course, this is just my opinion, and mine's worth the same as everyone else's here, LOL, opinions are like certain other bodily attributes, everybody has one.

I think we heard from them when the emails were released in a roundabout way but that is just my opinion
