I think I posted this way back in an earlier thread. Addie worked at The Hog's Breath; Atwood and Biehn haunted Hogg's, which was two blocks away on Chartres St.

She's from here, and has lived in (or near) NOLA her entire life.

Thanks so much Bessie. I knew there had been talk of it. A couple blocks away is relatively close, though not next door. My recollection is that Biehn would have been arrested well before MAS came to NOLA. Is that correct from what you remember looking at it? Or were you saying MAS is from NOLA? Thanks for helping me clear things up in my head.

She's from NOLA, Reedus.

  • #263
If I remember correctly, which gets a bit more difficult as each week passes with little or no new info, her hands and feet were not recovered so even if Jaren had a ring on, it would probably not be found. But there are so many other pieces of evidence that have not been mentioned in recent interviews with LE. I wonder if Jaren or MAS or TS carried a knife, and if so, what kind? Were any of the threads from Jaren's clothes found in MAS's car? Was there any sand in that car? What happened to the clothes that MAS and TS wore the night they left Temptations with Jaren? Did Jaren leave with her purse? Why would she have been so willing to leave so quickly with MAS and TS without calling her fiance with details? And where did MAS and TS go with her? How are they explaining being the last to see her alive??

At one point they were looking for a hunting knife. I don't know if they ever found it.

MrsBungi, Jaren's jewelry was something that never crossed my mind.
You brought up an excellant point. Could someone that is a possible
drug addict, like MAS, pass up the opportunity to cash in on the
valuables to purchase more drugs? I wonder if the places that buy
gold keep detailed records on transactions?
Ms. Shagwell, you also brought up a good point about the sand.
When I go to the beach, it seems like I can NEVER get rid of all
the sand in my vehicle. Maybe that will help put the nail in the coffin
for MAS and TS. I pray that something is found, like a grit of sand,
that will tie them to the place where the body was found. Wouldn't
be so easy to talk your way out of that! Especially these days where
they can probably test the sand to see where it came from, or at least
give a general vicinity. I am praying that some definitive evidence to
convict the guilty person/people will be found. JMO

I think the part of the beach had a pier with a shower type deal for cleaning fish that they may have used to clean the sand off. If you wash the sand off then let yourself dry and dust off the remainder of the sand you can keep your car pretty clean. (I live in FL, plus I went to Gulfport High School on the MS coast)

not before MAS but before Addie Hall. MAS is from that area.

Dear Bessie -

I would have to respectfully disagree with you about Hog’s Bar. Because the addresses are the same.

Charles Atwood met Dixie Esaki (victim) at the Artist Cafe at 608 Iberville St. in the French Quarter, where Patricia Biehn (Atwood’s girlfriend) worked as a dancer under the stage name Crystal, then rendezvoused with her, Anjanette Penzica (victim) and Patricia Biehn at Hoggs Bar, 135 Chartres St. in the Quarter. (Hog's spelled with two "g" in this article.)

According to Ethan Brown's book "Shake the Devil Off" it says:
"In the spring of 2005, Zack found a job tending bar at a down and out watering hole on the one hundred block of the French Quarter's Chartres Street called Hog's Bar."

This is the same bar where MAS met Zack and Addie. It is also the same bar that Charles Atwood and Patricia Biehn visited too.

Also, according to a post from MAS - I knew both Addie and Zach well….I met Addie early in 2005 when i started bartending at Hogs…

Are there any locals from New Orleans want to clarify this?

So Biehn would have been arrested before MAS came to work at whichever Hog(g)s, though the stories were sure to be told I would imagine. So, if accurate that they were one in the same bars, there is a connection, loose as it may be, but still some connection to Biehn or at least the stories of her and then a connection to Addie. Now Jaren. If that's accurate, that's 3 cases. Obviously, I'm not suggesting MAS had anything to do with Biehn's murders, but thinking it could be some circumstantial evidence as to how she may have come to her MO of dismembering. Just me wondering out loud.

I'm not suggesting MAS had anything to do with the Atwood murders either. However, Charles Atwood and Patricia Biehn were luring women from bars and night clubs in the winter of 2001-2002. They hanged out at Hog(g)s Tavern prior to MAS working there. I’m sure that Zack Bowen and MAS both heard the stories of the Atwood murders, when they were working there back in 2005. Perhaps the Atwood murder stories inspired them both? I’m positive that this was the same bar. The bar is now called Sneaky Pete's.

Also, Atwood and Biehn also went to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. This is from an article that I found - In a stroke of luck for investigators, Atwood and Biehn returned from Biloxi just as police descended on their apartment. My thought - What are the odds??

Are the two cases connected? No, but they sure are very similar. MAS was probably inspired by the murder of Addie Hall and the Atwood Murders. MAS actually "learned" from Zack Bowen, by her own admission, during the taping of The Final Witness Show prior to the death of Jaren Lockhart. "What am I gonna do to get rid of the body?" Is that a what normal person would say? I would have said,“I can’t believe I had lost my two best friends!!” However, she had put herself in Zack’s position on that TV Show. Now that’s scary!

Bottom line - There is a lot circumstantial evidence against MAS and TS.

I, for one, agree with this post word for word!

Clodumbo...You said in much better words what I was trying to convey. Thanks.

What was not to like? Addie was a dynamo behind the bar at Hog's Breath Cafe on Chartres Street and had an infectious sense of humor.

BTW, I am a local. Hogg's was around for awhile, and it was more of a locals place where I could see Atwood and Biehn fitting in. It's now called Sneaky Pete's. I won't swear to it, but I'm pretty sure The Hog's Breath opened later than 2002. It was a chain franchise. Different kind of place, altogether.

ETA: Atwood/Biehn, Zack = Hogg's Tavern (Bar), 135 Chartres
Addie = Hog's Breath Saloon, 339 Chartres

Well, I've provided multiple links of listings with descriptions of both establishments. Can't do more than that. I'd go take pictures for you today, but it wouldn't do much good since the businesses at both locations have changed.

Thank you! I have to admit, you gave me some great evidence. You have me convinced, because I am not a local from New Orleans, so I do appreciate it!

What bothers me is the "quote" from Ethan Brown's book -
According to Ethan Brown's book "Shake the Devil Off" it says:
"In the spring of 2005, Zack found a job tending bar at a down and out watering hole on the one hundred block of the French Quarter's Chartres Street called Hog's Bar."

Why would he say the "one hundred block" of Chartres Street? Perhaps he made a mistake in his book? So much for him being an investigative journalist! Perhaps he was confused when he asked for directions to "Hog's Bar?" But, that's a crucial part of the story in how Zack & Addie met. Hmmm.....

I am familar with the Hog Breath's in Destin, Florida. Perhaps it was a bar chain that opened up in New Orleans a couple of years before Hurricane Katrina.

Thanks for the clarity. It's good to review your good evidence. Great job!

Now to answer your question:
MAS's quote = http://mylifeofcrime.wordpress.com/2006/10/20/adriane-addie-hall-murder-100506/

I am confused! Is there one or two?
I thought Addie met MS at work at Hog(g)'s
I also that that Zach and Addie met at the same place?
The more I read the more confused I seem to be....sorry

No I appreciate all your information, I am just not able to follow for some reason. I thought they all worked at the exact same spot......I don't know why it is so hard for me to understand this part of the story.

Don't feel too bad, it is very confusing..... but I think Bessie is right,
there were two locations called Hog(g)'s.

Perhaps this will help you:
Please read MAS's comment about Zack & Addie on this weblink:

(She's basically saying that she did work with Zack & Addie at Hog's)
Perhaps MAS is spelling the name of the bar wrong or maybe she's not! :banghead:

I thought I had remembered there being a 300 block address for one of them but you were much faster than me when I went back to look.
