Is that why QT chose a bench trial instead of a jury trial given the judge that was assigned?
I wouldn't be surprised. I never underestimate QT's craftiness. He might be a criminal but he's definitely not a dumb criminal. I think it was 2 hung juries in Jessica Chambers.

@Niner

"That ended testimony for Friday, and for the immediate future. The trial was expected to have lasted only four days, but the prosecution still has several witnesses to call. Because of court scheduling, the judge and the attorneys floated some possible return dates, which could be as soon as April 1 or as far off as May 12. They are expected to come to an agreement next week on when to return."

3/20/26 Friday, Trial Day 4: State witnesses: Termar Laquan Key [who Tellis called "Jay”].
That ended testimony for Friday & for the immediate future. The trial was expected to have lasted only four days, but the prosecution still has several witnesses to call. Because of court scheduling, the judge & the attorneys floated some possible return dates, which could be as soon as April 1 or as far off as May 12. They are expected to come to an agreement next week on when to return. So, it is up in the air whether or not it will continue on Monday, 3/23/26, or if it will be pushed back to a later date. In speaking with Judge Larry Jefferson, Thursday, he said he was not sure yet whether the trial would continue or be postponed.
