Lafourche cold case murder suspects have charges dropped

Russell Lee and Judith Weiser were arrested in July in connection with the 1986 murder of Paula Boudreaux.

''The Lafourche Parish District Attorney issued the following statement:

“On Tuesday, Oct. 22, Chief of Violent Crimes Shaun George presented the case of State of Louisiana v. Judith Weiser to the grand jury. After careful consideration of the evidence, the grand jury pretermitted the matter. This means they determined there was not enough evidence for the State to move forward with prosecution. However, the case remains open, and the grand jury can consider any additional evidence if any is discovered at a later time.”
