BBM - What is the usual way they handle evidence that you know of Oreck? TIA BTW I believe these bags are considered evidence bags and are used in most cases where they have to collect evidence.
Apparently these officers knew what they were doing while collecting evidence, and that is why they put a paper evidence bag over the end of the board...to protect possible evidence. As far as the stain on the board, which some of us wonder or suspect could have been evidence, lab techs were on site and would have done swabs and testing on site. If some things tested positive for certain things of relevance, they were packaged and taken into a lab for further testing. Perhaps they found the staining on the board was not bodily fluids but that of an oil substance or some other chemical or animal stain. The barn did house pigs prior to DM purchasing it. A tech would have swabbed that stain and if the results came back indicating possible evidence, the board would be packaged and taken to a lab for further testing. Whatever was on the end of the board, apparently they suspected it held evidence. Specifically the reason an evidence bag was secured to the end of the board ...to preserve and protect potential evidence.
Also, that officer could have been carrying that board over to the forensic tent to have it packaged, processed and sealed for the lab for further testing. As you can see by the photos, everyone appears to have taken all precautions to gear up with masks, hair nets, gloves and some wearing overalls. ALL MOO.
