Hopefully he has lost his mechanic's licence since his shenanigans came to light - hence his now being in the 'forestry industry'. Wonder if they have him feeding deer in winter!

If that is all he got, he is very lucky. The Bobcat was a theft over $5000, and he knew it was stolen, and it was okay to call DM and warn him about the Police. This tells me he was okay with the other big ticket items stolen, like the Harley, and he felt comfortable and proud to help DM with these type of missions. MOO

That actually happens fairly often. My best friend as a kid was the youngest pilot as well when he got his license on his 4th birthday. Got the write up in the local paper too. It sounds like a gig deal but its not.

It’s situational I think. It can be a big deal if it’s the wrong thing for a particular kid.

There's a correction to an earlier tweet from Shannon Martin. Shannon Martin mixed-up identifying Millard and Smich's texts. Here is the original, followed by the catch by Lisa Davidson-Hogg and then Shannon Martin's response.

Shannon Martin‏ @ShannonMartinTV

Millard: "no I will arrange it. you aint gotta do **** except tell me when you can chill"

Smich: "tell him i want to talk about tools."

Det. Jansz says "tools" refers to firearms

Isn't the exchange between Millard and Smich in the reverse?

Shannon Martin Retweeted Lisa Davidson-Hogg

Thanks for the catch - you are correct!

You are wrong. At the wedding she knew about TB and MS's involvement. She admitted it at the last trial. Her testimony at the trial was vague. She could not tell one word of what was said in Millards truck the day after the murder except "they were happy". Come on, I wasn't born yesterday. And for the 1000th time, WHY DID SHE NOT WANT SMICH TO GO ON THE MISSION THAT NIGHT?

In my opinion, to her knowledge, they were potentially stealing a car. She didn’t want him to go because she thought it was too risky. That’s a long way from knowing about a murder.

I feel like you are sickened by the fact that she wanted to marry MS. Keep in mind that she knew some of what he was up to, but certainly not everything. She was brainwashed, manipulated and completely in love with a very bad guy... Finding out the truth about him was probably horrifying.

I’ve been in her shoes so maybe that’s why I sympathize. She didn’t keep good company or make great choices, but she was vulnerable and young and malleable. Judge her for those things if you must, but she is not complicit in any of these murders.

And we’ll have to agree to disagree about her testimony also. I thought it was strong and valuable and truthful. She did way better than any of the other minions and she’s only grown since then.

I wonder if Dr. Burns has any kind of relationship with his sister today.

You know the old saw about kids going bad because their parent is an alcoholic? I wonder if a parent can become an alcoholic because their kid is the devil's spawn?

So we’re still waiting for the crown to follow up with
Green van
Homemade incinerator
MM
? CN ( doubt she’ll testify)

Anyone have other thoughts

Maybe AM? His name has come up a lot in this trial. Based on texts, DM alleges that LB had his iPhone, sounds like they may have had a prior relationship beyond friendship and he was supposed to be reporting her whereabouts to DM. I would assume that he may have some light to shine on motive or detail regarding DM and MS.

You can be too close and immediately involved in a situation to see it clearly. I think this was the case with her and Smich. There has been testimony about just how joined at the hip they usually were. She was young, in love, in awe of her older guy and doing way too many drugs. There's a difference between bad choices and bad character, and I think that difference is revealed when there has been some distance, forced or otherwise, between a person and events. I think MM revealed herself in the last trial to be a person of decent character who made bad choices, came to understand that, and did her best to do the right thing at the TB trial. I have no reason to expect otherwise here.

And in the TB trial did we not hear about SS installing license plate covers that made them undetectable through photo radar? Ordering kits to remove windshields so that they could tamper with VIN numbers?

He was never charged or convicted so my points are moot.

You know the old saw about kids going bad because their parent is an alcoholic? I wonder if a parent can become an alcoholic because their kid is the devil's spawn?

It probably became a horrible feedback loop. Dad retreating further into alcoholism as DM's depraved world further encroached on life at Maple Gate, and DMs boundaries fading by the day as his father lost control of his house and avoided the pain by numbing out. I think it can be particularly painful for the parents of only children to have a child who doesn't turn out well. They blame themselves and they perceive greater fault and greater control because they never had the chance to understand how children come into this world with a great deal already predetermined. Parents of children very different from each other get to understand that in a way that the parents of one child don't.

So...DM saw RB in July (?) 2012 about Pedo having parasites.
I also noted in MS's TB trial testimony that I was re-reading this morning that he said DM would abuse Pedo for peeing and pooping on his bed (which the judge quickly struck from the record).

What do you think the chances are that Pedo was having accidents on DMs bed due to perhaps poor health and that was the reason for the mattress replacement?

Just something to consider...

The last time Burns saw #Millard? July or August, he can't remember. "I don't catalogue the useless chronological dates in his life," Burns says.

:hiding:
:) You're cataloging very complicated trial details for the greater good, so you're safe!

I'm thinking AM will testify

I also think AM will testify. There is a reason why DM keeps showing that photo of him with AM and their coloured mohawk hairdos. I think he wants to represent AM as a poor witness based on that photo. JMO

For me it’s:
Green Van

Anything else to tie MS to the planning of the murder (getting nervous)
Anything with DNA on it (please)

very curious what type of defence DM will present. Will he call witnesses? Should be interesting.

I remember reading somewhere that Laura liked the colour purple. Here is a link to a MSM article with a picture of her wearing purple.

https://www.thestar.com/opinion/201...cock-was-a-kernel-without-a-husk-mallick.html

She was a fun-loving girl, who I can see wearing the cute fuzzy purple
slippers. How sad that MS probably emptied her suitcase, took what he wanted, after she was murdered, and maybe offered things to others. It is possible that no one wanted the slippers, so they just let the dog play with them. The fact that they made a video of it is sick, and disturbing. I wonder if they wanted to show it to others, like CN ? RB was right. So much of what they did was diabolical. Rest in Peace Laura. IMO

Can I just say: Robert Burns seems like an all-around quality human.
