ITA. Excellent point btw about how JR could possibly have seen and untied the ligature in the pitch-black wine cellar?Nuisanceposter said:Yeah, there is - it's called RDI.
I thought I read that it takes between two hours and four hours to digest. Hers was not completely digested so forensics are assuming two hours before she died she had pineapple.rashomon said:But wasn't the cracked crab JB had eaten at the Whites' party already digested further than the pineapple? That way she could not have eaten the pineapple before going to the Whites'.

After re-reading the autopsy description of the ponytails and studying a drawing and then trying it on my own hair, I've come to the conclusion that the hair was styled like that for sleeping.UKGuy said:Now everyone can opine on this aspect: Where about in the house were the hair-ties affixed to Jonbenet's asymmetric ponytails?
I disagree. The cord fiber evidence in JBR's bedroom suggests that everything that relates to JBR's state that differed from her state when put to bed, was determined by someone other than JBR.IrishMist said:I'm starting to think that JB may have put the "ponies" in herself. My girls were young in the 90's, and one of the styles at the time were 3 and 4 ponies. Another was just pulling the bangs and top part of the hair into a pony, and it stood up like a fountain  And, yes, I let them go out like that.![]()
I digress.
Perhaps JB was up and roaming. Grabbed a bite of pineapple, doing her hair up in a cool style...
Did it set Patsy into a rage having to tell her repeatedly to go to bed? I don't know.
Did she get her secret visit from "Santa"? I don't know.
But I do think the child was up and about that night.
You and I disagree??Holdontoyourhat said:I disagree. The cord fiber evidence in JBR's bedroom suggests that everything that relates to JBR's state that differed from her state when put to bed, was determined by someone other than JBR.
That could include her diet, dress, hairstyle, etc.

A perpetrator also drew the red heart on the palm of her hand and tied her hair up in one extra hairtie to stop it from impeding the application of the neck ligature.
Absolutely possible, it's how I was molested. I was wearing a short dress. My uncle called me over under the apricot tree in the back yard (the rest of the family had gone in the house), I had no idea of his intentions. My legs were not "together" and he blindsided me with his fingers.nuisanceposter said:Not to mention it's going to be incredibly hard to molest a girl who is standing. Her legs are in the way.
Same way IDI does.Holdontoyourhat said:How does RDI explain the ligature cord fiber in JBR's bedroom?
What do you mean?SuperDave said:It's not really that difficult. Could have been the cover-up began there.
It could have gotten there via secondary transfer from the kitchen knife that was found on the laundry area counter. Possible scenario: Patsy goes up from the basement to the kitchen to get a knife to cut the cord. She grabs the paring knife, takes it downstairs, cuts the cord with it and, in the process, the ends get frayed. It is then decided by either her or John that this knife isn't effective enough and a sharper one is needed. That is when the decision to use Burke's knife is made. She goes back upstairs with the kitchen knife straight to the 2nd floor, bypassing the kitchen on the 1st floor. She stops off at JonBenet's room to gather some things and wipes the knife off on the sheets. She then goes to the laundry area, sets the knife down on the counter, opens the cabinet, pulls out a package of Pull-Ups partway, and reaches back to retrieve Burke's Swiss Army knife. Burke's knife and the other items are then taken to the basement and the kitchen knife is left on the counter.Holdontoyourhat said:How does RDI explain the ligature cord fiber in JBR's bedroom?
The fact that there's a large hemmorhage that starts right at the uncut garrote, suggests to me that JBR was alive when strangled by the garrote.SuperDave said:I mean that, for all I know, after she'd been struck, that's where she was tied up, even strangled. For all I know, the garrote as we saw it was built on her after she was dead. The fact that her hair was tied in it suggests to me it was.
