Live MSM coverage on baby Lisa 21 October 2011- including Nancy Grace

Yeah, his crack about women who cheat on their husbands was enough for me to question his stoicism. Makes me wonder about Lisa's biology too... :(

That was one of the strangest remarks considering the timing and circumstances.

I thought he said husbands who cheat on their wives??
He said:

"someone who cheats on her husb................." and stopped cold.

It was in response to a reporter's question of: "who would do this kind of thing?"

Very odd, dropped my jaw when I first heard it.

That is why I think he may doubt DB's story but is afraid to say anything else at this point as he wants Lisa back. Or he may be helping the LE. I think we may learn more about his stoicism later after more has come to the surface. (and I'm sure more will :rollercoaster:)

Check the media thread - it has to be one of the very first video interviews. I know it was within the first 3 - 4 days. Can't remember who the reporter was.

Nah, he said "someone who cheats on her hus.....", he cut himself off.

I can see that as meaning he is at least subconsciously suspicious of Debbi, who is legally still married to another man.

Or, I can see that as meaning he was involved with another married woman whom he might suspect.

Or, the couple knows a cheating wife whom they think is suspicious.

A few different possiblities, imo. One thing for sure, it makes no generic sense in the context it was given, which was what kind of person the couple thinks would snatch their baby. I think that leaked out of Jeremy because he is pondering some specific uncomfortable thoughts. JMO...

Yeah, he said a mouthful...

Quote: * Police asked the Irwins to make a list of anyone who could have been responsible for Lisa's disappearance. When asked in an interview by Judge Jeanine Pirro, "How did you pick these names," Jeremy Irwin answered, "Anybody. People who have been in the house. People that have had miscarriages lately. People who got divorces, cheating on their husb- (he stopped himself; his wife shook her head "no"). Irwin's mention of people getting divorces and cheating on their husbands has no logical nexus with a baby kidnapping and raises eyebrows.

It made me think that perhaps he came home on "lunch break" that night; caught momma red handed without her knowing and decided to "whisk away the baby" - I would still like to hold on to that - but with the dog hit - well, I don't think so anymore.

O/T: They still sell it though. I've used the all natural kind for my youngest however the homeopathic teething tablets work better. I forget the brand.

It's called hyland's. There are also some baltic amber claims.

I'm pretty sure they only sell adult orajel now. I haven't seen baby orajel in a few years. I could be wrong though, maybe it's just the stores I shop at.

O/T: I just bought some at Walmart a couple weeks ago. It was the Naturals kind though so maybe that's new. I bought it because they will use Orajel but not the Hyland's at DS's daycare. :waitasec:

Mine too. And we have been married for almost 30 years now. But IF I had ever dared to call him at work to say one of the kids was dead, and I needed him to come help me dispose of them----OMG. Forget it.

The same with my brothers. My older brother has done me some massive favors over the years. He is a great guy and very caring and family oriented. But If I called him for a favor that included a dead child, accident or not--No Way.

It is hard for me to believe that she could have just called in a favor like that, no questions asked.

I don't know anyone I could call. Not one. I just can't even imagine any normal human being going "well... ok, you did spot me that 20.00 the other day... I guess I can help"

I know what we would do isn't really applicable, but if I were in that situation, my husband is the one person I would try hardest to keep it from. Because he is the one person I care most about letting down... if that makes any sense .

I think this is why DB won't let him talk anymore... :innocent:

Still on the fence here until I see some actual evidence,,,,but maybe I am the only one who didn't think this was weird because I actually thought the same thing as well...maybe someone who cheated on their husband and got divorced and lost their child or something. I know it doesn't make sense, but I was considering stream of conscious thoughts to a scared and confused father, just trying to think of some reason for someone to do this to someone.

I also don't have a problem with the wording of the press release. They aren't looking for praise, just asking for less criticism. Yes-mom admitted to drinking and the possibility of blacking out. She didn't say she did black out or possibly blacked out, just that it was a possibility. She seemed to me to be someone who likes to drink at night after the kids have gone off to bed and probably drinks more than she should-but I know a LOT of people who do that! I don't, but I do know a lot of people who do live that way unapologetically.

The bottom line is that even if this woman was drunk and irresponsible, would a kidnapping be any less of a crime? If a woman dresses a certain way, is she asking to be raped? If you are hanging out in a bad neighborhood, is it OK for someone to mug you? Neither probably the smartest or most responsible things to do, but it doesn't make the crime any less.

All I say is that we hold our judgement based on the facts and not our feelings-at this point. I am teetering on the fence myself, but I refuse to pass judgement just yet. If there is a possibility that this child has been kidnapped, I pity these people more than I could ever judge them. I wouldn't wish this kind of thing on my worst enemy. Should they be completely investigated? Absolutely. But I also think there is still a possibility that the child was kidnapped.

I don't know one person either Abby. Then again, I imagine neither of us would ever think to cover up something so tragic, accident or snap. I do see families where it might be more conceivable that family members would be willing to assist in such as situation, in my line of work. A couple of things that I've posted with links in other threads makes me think that Debbi and those close to her and her fiancee may be intentionally or unintentionally willing to cover or deny. Family dynamics differ and levels of enablement and disfunction differ.

Examples:

Jeremy's sister Ashley going on national tv and proclaming that Debbi is preparing for arrest because LE tries to pin things on people when they have no leads. (Later the same day, Ashley retracts her statement and says she worded it wrong)

Debbi's dad saying that it's understandable that Debbi would have gaps in her timeline and inconsistencies with Jeremy's separate statements due to stress. (Those "itty bitty" problems, as he referred to them, we later learn amount to at least a 4 hours discrepancy in the last time Debbi claims to have seen Lisa alive - huge, imo).

"Family members" on record on Oct 12th telling KCTV5 that the man in the store video with Debbi is her brother and she bought the wine for a family event. Only to have Debbi claim to multiple national media outlets on Oct 17th that she and her neighbor drank the boxed wine the same night she bought it (not a family event, imo).
