Local 6 Uncovers New Info in Anthony Case

this is just one more anothonytale. the nanny took her. the nanny and the sister took her. jesse took her. she swallowed something. she drowned in the pool. we're watching the kidnappers. she's been moved. they put her there after she was in jail. all tales put out to the public to create reasonable doubt. why would an innocent woman have so many different stories about the last time she saw her daughter. the way the baby was found, there is only one logical explanation. the defense is digging their hole. their only hope is to score a jury of completely uneducated, illogical people. and as JP said, they are not supposed to be deaf, dumb or blind. therein lies the defenses biggest problem.

(We) I was (were) joking about that part. No "child" who steals that amount of money from her mother's bank account and clenched her fists and blows her cork as in the jail video is "afraid" of her mother or what her mother thinks. But she does know her mother would insist on knowing every detail of what happened and start wailing and carrying on about Caylee and ICA had had quite enough of that - thank you very much.

I thought you were joking, but I actually can buy it. I think she lives in an alternate reality, one based on her mother's version of values, truth, justice, just about everything.

Like I said, though, I don't think it offers any excuse for murder. I just think that is how dysfunctional she is.

I have always thought that the flurry of calls was the time that she did something to Caylee. The pool theory sounds very plausible. I think she made those flurry of calls to tell everyone that Caylee had fallen in the pool and wasn't breathing. The first problem was that no one answered. If in fact she had duct taped her face before throwing her in the pool, when she retrieved her, she was going to remove the duct tape to bolster her accidental drowning scenario, only to realize that it was in Caylee's hair and she couldn't get it out without cutting it. So how would she explain that Caylee accidentally drowned and she cut her hair? That was her second problem. So she bags her up, puts her in the trunk, thinking she will deal with it later. Decomp begins, and is rapid because of the heat, and thinking she would get rid of the smell, she just dumps her in a familiar area.

All they need is someone who agrees with the above post on the jury, and KC will be free from prison in about ten years, I am guessing. It would no longer be first degree murder.

I think this is a crucial point that we cannot lose sight of. TL did not want Caylee there and come hell or high water Casey was determined to be with this guy. Lots of evidence has been uncovered to show that Casey was in love with him and looks like she would do anything to be with him. The contentious relationship Casey had with her mother is not the main motive I feel. When it comes right down to it if there had been an accident Casey simply did not want her time with Tony cut into by having to play the grieving Mom. Like her mother she was so concerned with appearances she wouldn't let Cindy and George take Caylee and raise her. How would that make Casey look?

BBM
funny how life works. She looks like the monster she is..regardless.

I'm not sure she borrowed the shovel from the neighbour on the 16th though. I don't think it would be that difficult to pull her 2 year out of the water on her own. The shovel would only make it more cumbersome.

I agree. That has never made sense to me.

I gotta tell you guys that I was so mad last night when I went to bed that I was chewing nails. That's thirty seconds of my life wasted that I will never get back. Thank God I got up in a better mood. :floorlaugh:

I'd give her the needle for that alone. I still think the trunk and tape are the COD. Drowning is just a diversion by the defense.

I agree and IF it was a drowning, she still deserves a life sentence for what she put searchers through, for almost bankrupting TES, the false accusations of innocent people, the wasted resources that could have helped actual missing children, etc.

If it was, as purported, an accidental drowning, then why do they need to incriminate Kronk, or anyone else, by suggesting the remains were staged. If they believed their latest attempt to rewrite history, then there wouldn't be any point in pursuing this man and defaming him further.
Casey killed Caylee and went out and partied with no remorse, this is a tempest in a teacup whirled up by the defense to taint the jury pool...nothing more.

Convincing a jury that it could have been a drowning accident is a lot harder with duct tape on the victims face. Therefore, they have to explain another way it came to be there besides Casey herself being responsible.

I agree with you that this potentially played a part with KC murdering Caylee. However, I recall reading interviews and I cannot tell you who it was (a girl) where the witness said KC could have left CAylee with her mother but she didn't want to because Cindy paid way too much attention to Caylee. Also, Tracey, Leonard Padilla's assistant said KC immediately changed the subject when Tracey mentioned the pictures of Caylee and started showing her (Tracey) pictures of herself. She could not stand not being the center of attention. There is jealously there.

She also said KC talked nonstop and drove her crazy. Sound familiar. Apple does not fall far. Cindy never shuts the $%# up. Never. She is a person who is totally unfamiliar with silence and looking within herself. It would help her a great deal if she did. I realize it is easier said when you are dealing with the murder of your grandchild, but it has been over two years and the woman, imo, has not given herself a chance to even go there.

Oh let me be very clear..I don't believe that it was an accident in any way, shape or form. I believe Casey intentionally killed Caylee and planned to do so. But she is clearly not as smart as she thinks and her plan to make it look like an accident failed miserably so she went with plan B, which was to say she was kidnapped. I believe whole-heartedly that she is as guilty as they come, so I wouldn't be a good juror.

It's OK logical girl. The accidental drowning in the pool "trial balloon" is stupid and defies belief and logic. I hope they go with it. The jury is going to hate her guts.

CM really should have checked here before he decided on an accidental drowning theory to present to a jury. Early on in this case many of us picked that apart. IMO not gonna work. :loser:

ETA: what I meant was present it to a jury not that he has decided that for sure.

The defense, if they are going to try and claim and accident and that Casey was "ugly coping" they are going to have to prove it to a jury. The State, imo, has enough evidence to convince a jury that Casey murdered Caylee. So the defense is going to have to explain away all the evidence that points to Caylee being murdered... and PROVE that there is a reasonable explanation for everything... and it was an accident. I just don't think that they can do that.

Ugly coping isn't going to work imo, ya know why? It's just another instance of Casey not giving a $hit about anyone but herself. After the jury learns of her thefts and lies, the way she treated her mother, friend, etc. I believe they will determine there was no ugly coping because that's the way Casey is all of the time. Lots of proof of it.

I think the not saying a word and the June 20th picture of her dancing at Fusion should do it.

You might think a investigative reporter would want to go out there and find a real story. One that isn't a chimera, one that stays after the 11:00 pm reveal. It seems they want the attention but do not wish to do the work.

Imagine the stories out there needing to be told, yet we have most news outlets relying on sitting back and seeing who comes to them. Individuals with information is the future. IMO. Some of the media companies might decide to report the facts, and only the facts-in the coming years and they may make it though the transition.

Starting this thread, in a way plays right into these type of tactics. But, as a WSer said and I agree: it is best to bring "information" such as this to be sleuthed and seen for what it is. I will add, it helps people to know and understand spin when it is being given in lieu of facts.

I know I can spot spin quicker since I have been reading at Websleuths and on the internet in general.

Maybe in a flirtatious way. Oh you cute little liar you! Come to poppa.

I'm laughing yet revolted. That was genius.

I do believe she needed the shovel to dig a grave. If you think about the length of a gardening shovel from end to end, wouldn't a mop have been longer, or a broom more convenient if you needed to drag a little body to the side of the pool. A shovel isn't even a helpful shape IMO.

bbm
I too believe the shovel was to dig a grave.

Umm - could I just quietly tuck a couple of words on after your last sentence?

Come to poppa, and bring whatever $$$ you have the ability to earn with you. Poppa has a nice safe place to keep it in. :loser:

ITA......but.......

I'm afraid that if someone agrees with the post you reference Solace, that she'll be acquitted. I don't know about this case, but in some cases the jury only has the option of a finding of murder in the first, not lesser charges. Even if the jury feels the defendant is guilty of murder in the second, not the first, they have to acquit if second degree is not a option. I guess it is all in the jury instructions???? I am hoping that the SA's case is so strong that DP can be proven without leaving wiggle room on intent etc., IMO intent is the only hope the defense has to a not guilty on a DP. That is why the drowning scenario would be the smartest defense - but they can't shake the stink off the Zanny the Nanny defense or SODDI defense quite so easily.

And a huge fat fine! Can they fine her? The trouble she has caused IMO no fine would be too high!:banghead:

This was not an accident. She intentionally killed her and the tape around the mandible proves it, imo. Her dancing on June 20th at Fusion goes a long way to show what a sociopath she is.
