So far I'm calling BS. Where are the expensive new clothes? He sure wasn't wearing them in the pic with the reporter. Nor does it appear he had any with him either in Montreal or on the run. He looks like he wears track pants and hoodies a lot. Where are all his belongings? What happened to everything over the years?

Everything he had was in one small suitcase it appears?

He went to London with a purpose. And he sent that email. He needed an excuse...again. He had put more pressure on himself at that point hadn't he?

suemontgomery ‏@MontgomerySue · 4m4 minutes ago
#Magnotta said he'd stopped marijuana two years ago. No alcoholism, but two glasses wine before noon and four to go to sleep

What was his purpose in going to London, though? I'm sure that the cat videos weren't filmed there. Did he go to London just to upload them and make people think they were filmed there?

Paris: Diagnosis that best explained the story #Magnotta presented was borderline personality disorder.

Sue Montgomery - Crown asks if Lin's phone recovered. Yes, it was at his Forest Hill apartment, Bourque says #Magnotta

I'm starting to think that LM only met JL that very night. The night/day the two of them are seen entering LM's apartment and LM has the plastic bag over his arm.

Trackpants, hoodies, and that stupid, ugly striped shirt.

I also call BS. I think he was looking for meds.

Shuyee Lee ‏@sleeCJAD · 3m3 minutes ago

suemontgomery ‏@MontgomerySue · 54s54 seconds ago
#Magnotta is bent right over in the prisoner's box during this testimony. Doesn't seem to be paying attention

Shuyee Lee ‏@sleeCJAD · 1m1 minute ago
Witness still not sure why #Magnotta came to see him. Did not ask for specific meds.

Shuyee Lee ‏@sleeCJAD · 26s26 seconds ago
Were you to see him again? I would have been in charge of next stage of evaluation. #Magnotta

suemontgomery ‏@MontgomerySue · 41s41 seconds ago
Paris suggested #Magnotta join the personality disorder program at JGH. Paris hoped to get psych records that spring to evaluate for prog.

suemontgomery ‏@MontgomerySue · 45s45 seconds ago
Break in #Magnotta till 11:30

Trackpants, hoodies, and that stupid, ugly striped shirt.

No way. If he was telling them that so they'd think he had bipolar disorder, they would probably have given him lithium. Lithium is NOT a drug that anyone abuses.

I'm starting to think that LM only met JL that very night. The night/day the two of them are seen entering LM's apartment and LM has the plastic bag over his arm.

It makes no sense that JL would arrange to meet a complete stranger at the McDonalds or Metro Station (which is it LM?) from an internet ad and not take his phone with him to this meeting.

Didn't he work in a convenience store? Did he live above the store? How close was his apartment to LM's? And what about these phone calls that were supposed to have been made from JL's phone on the 24th/25th to Vancouver? The plane ticket? Why is all this being eluded to and not being brought up in a coherent fashion? Just like Emile Lacroix

So frustrating. :gaah:

So this 'final witness' needed all day Friday and all day yesterday to be prepared?

There was one tweet about the fact that the defence had rested without the accused taking the stand. I'm thinking there may have been an attempt. But perhaps he only wanted to talk about his mental illness and not about the murder. Which in turn would not allow the Crown to ask about it on cross. So perhaps they hashed out the possibilities for a couple of days, LeClair tried to prepare him and then aborted the idea yesterday? The press seemed to indicate some "very interesting" testimony was coming after the legal arguments on Friday. So I think it just may have been a possibility but the defence decided against it.

Paris recommended he be followed by CLSC dr. No change of meds because #Magnotta didn't appear to suffer from psychosis or bipolar disorder.

Why didn't Paris take LM off the TWO antipsychotics LM said he was on if he thought LM had been misdiagnosed?

No way. If he was telling them that so they'd think he had bipolar disorder, they would probably have given him lithium. Lithium is NOT a drug that anyone abuses.

The whole episode with Dr. Paris resulted from his trip to the clinic in which he complained that he couldn't sleep and had taken Temazepam in the past I believe. I think he was trying to get Temazepam from the clinic. Since he had such success with the clinic doctor that he followed around in Toronto by just telling him of his "history".

The clinic wisely didn't just prescribe him the Temazepam, they referred him to Dr. Paris. So he keeps the appointment and tells him a bunch of stuff that is not consistent with what he has told other psychiatrists and even tells him that he is currently on medication. I thought I saw somewhere in the part of the report that was posted that Dr. Paris thought that he should continue on with the Paxil (which according to the other doctors whom he saw after the murder, he was not taking for 2 years). I guess since there was no reference that we could see about the Temazepam, and the Crown did not bring it up, that LM did not get it from Dr. Paris either? So where did he get it?

And why was he looking for marijuana as well? Because he couldn't get the Temazepam? Or did he just like smoking a joint, drinking 4 glasses of wine, taking a Benedryl with a Temazepam chaser every night before bed?

MOO

Why didn't Paris take LM off the TWO antipsychotics LM said he was on if he thought LM had been misdiagnosed?

Antipsychotics are also given for anxiety, I know someone with BPD and anxiety who is on them.

Here's the report that was posted. You can see that he was sent back to the referring physician for pharmacology. So is that back to the clinic doctor? Did he go back? Will we be hearing from that doctor?
