The double murder trial of former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez was postponed Tuesday because of the winter storm.
Suffolk Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Locke told jurors Monday that he would suspend the trial for a day after learning that Boston was going to get hit with a snowstorm.

A male juror later told Locke that no one wanted to sit for a full day Tuesday, and only a few people were willing to hear evidence for a half day. Most jurors preferred the option of skipping court altogether Tuesday.
“So we have a hung jury,” Locke said, prompting laughter from many in the courtroom, including Hernandez, who smiled widely at the defense table.

So let's see today is Wednesday, my time 11:20am - so you guys are at 3:20am.... guess I'll have to wait until about 4pm my time to see what's going on in trial today....

YES, her testimony in that trial was very bizarre. The State had her over a barrel--she has a young child, and was vulnerable to possibly being charged with tampering of evidence, accessory after the fact, etc. So she was forced to cooperate with the prosecution, somewhat/


But this time, what leverage, if any, does the Commonwealth have?

Baez was working really hard to make the above point===since the car was wiped down, it must have been someone other than AH , because he wouldn't worry about his own prints being found in his vehicle...



But I disagree. If I had just been in MY car, and used it in a drive by double murder. no way I would want my own prints found in the car by LE. I would rather wipe it clean so I could say someone else was using it.

The camera spanned on AH several times this morning as the tattoo artist was being questioned. He appeared nervous to me constantly rubbing his lips, biting his nails. The discussion about the tats continued after trial this afternoon minus the artist. Locke will probably rule on this in the morning as this witness was brought in from CA.

Previously, the state put a USA Today sportswriter on the witness list, likely to testify to Hernandez explaining why he used tattoos to “tell his life story.” A judge in New Jersey however ruled the journalist can’t be forced to testify due to First Amendment protections.

In a separate session with Nelson, Hernandez and his girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins, each had part of a quote tattooed on each of their bodies. One got one part, the other a different part. Hernandez’s was: “Remind me that we’ll always have each other” inked in red across his chest. Jenkins’ part was not revealed but it is likely from a popular lyric from the rock group Incubus.

The next line is: “When everything else is gone.”

Jenkins is notably still regularly attending Hernandez’s trial.

Locke’s decision on having Nelson testify in front of the jury is expected to come soon, since Nelson was brought to Boston at the state’s expense from his home in Los Angeles.

So, kind of slow and boring day, with forensics experts, slowly trying to build a foundation. The state trying to get ahead of Baez, and admitting for themselves that there is no DNA or fingerprints or gun powder residue found in the SUV used in the shooting.

But right now they have an expert on cell data, talking about ATT cell records of AH phone movements and his texts...etc. Defense trying to say those cell ping maps are not accurate. LONG SIDEBAR so far...
