I don't think the judge ruled yet on if the prosecution will get the delay they are asking for. It looks like they had a deadline of January 24th to turn over emails and texts sent by investigators working the case to Nilo's team. The Boston Globe article says a certain number of search terms had been agreed upon, that if a text or email contained that term, it would have to be turned over as germane to the investigation and Nilo's team had a right to see it. But now Nilo's lawyers have asked for more than 100 additional terms to be searched for in investigators' messages and turned over. Understandably, this adds quite a bit more work so prosecutors are asking for more time to complete it. The prosecutors say they want to conduct due diligence to ensure that only those BPD communications subject to the court’s order are provided to Nilo's counsel.
