This would be laughable!

He tried to outsmart LE by using gift cards, not cash, and incriminates himself way worse.

Outdumbed himself he did.

($400+ and $300+ returns?)

BW, motivated apparently to spend every last penny of it.

I missed a bit. Did BW buy an identical replacement rug or a different one?

No it was different.

It appears to be the one seen in the police photos of the house, in front of the living room fireplace. IMO

I linked screenshots above in the thread.

Thank you. I thought it was different but just wanted to ask.

Does the town your HGoods is in, ban plastic bags- Lots of towns in metro Boston do, and Norwell where this store is located I believe is one of them.... so hence the paper.

In some stores, esp supermarkets and towns you get charged an extra 10 cents for the bag. I bring my own everywhere so not sure about Norwell.

Also it's a very high volume store and in a HCOL area - so likely to have the "nicer" brand name labels as well

So no mystery about the slippers - dna from Ana and Brian
All that talk from the D lawyer trying to confuse things
Saying to the guy on the stand earlier to the effect of "As you sit here it's correct isn't it.... that you have no idea who those slippers belong to?"
It was not his job to analyze the dna
lol
Wasted words are pretty much all that D lawyer has every time he opens his mouth

You are probably right, but honestly I think he was very tight for any actual utraceable money.

He maybe was just going with what he could get his hands on - he probably rifled her purse for anything of value before discarding it along with her body parts.

Ana had the job that paid for the groceries and daily stuff. Mommy paid the rent on the house. I would venture a guess Mommy paid the preschool tuition for the three kids too.

Brian was in debt up to his eyeballs. He was just the aging, not so charming anymore, psychopath conman turned vicious wife murderer
