I hope so. IMO he killed Ana and the SUD is BS . But thinking as a juror, can I say 100% that he murdered her without a body, an official cause of death and not knowing his pleas .
It’s not 100%. It’s beyond a reasonable doubt. I don’t see any reasonable juror believing his ridiculous story. Who chops up a spouse that died naturally? No one.

The question before us:

How do you find someone guilty of murder when you don't know how the person died or even that the person died?

Circumstantial evidence and personal and collective reason.

It's not that he bought baking soda. He bought 24# of baking soda. And buckets, brooms, bleach, rugs, gloves, a hatchet, a hammer, a hacksaw...

Lied about where he was when he was shopping for those things, lied about when he was throwing out trash, lied about his phone.

Why cover up a natural death?

What was with all that cleaning?

I think the CW will pull it all together.

BW is such a con. His art fraud case wasn’t just selling those two Warhol paintings he advertised on eBay, but much more as revealed in this press release from 2024. How much did Ana know of all this?

A subsequent investigation revealed that Walshe sold the original Shadow paintings to a gallery in 2011. Those paintings passed through multiple hands until they were sold to buyers outside the country. To date, the government has not regained possession of the original Shadow paintings.

Additionally, the investigation also revealed that, sometime in 2011, Walshe obtained a different set of replica Shadow paintings from an artist who did not know Walshe’s purpose. In 2015, Walshe sold that set to another victim who resided in France.

Initially this trial was estimated to take 3-4 weeks. We are towards the end of the 2nd week and closing arguments are scheduled.

Because the Defense gave the appearance they had witnesses to call.

Someday, with time on his hands, maybe BW can titillate other conmen with his swarmy ability to cover up a murder, how ever poorly, while on house arrest. He can regale himself. How proud of his smug self he must have been, and with littles underfoot. He must have felt so clever.

I shed no tear for him.

I weep for the littles.

He’s a liar, a known fraud, a terrible man.

He was asked by LE if his marriage was OK. He said it was fine. A big fat huge lie.

They had not been intimate in a year. They were practically living apart. She had moved on and was making plans. He knew she was having an affair. Their marriage was NOT fine.

His lies about her sudden death are just that; lies. It’s not even a good lie. It is unbelievable.

Defense: there's no evidence that a weapon was used in the death of AW.

Calls for the jury to speculate.

  • #2,257
CW one can infer a weapon was used... namely a knife.

  • #2,258
BW researched whether a dishwasher can DNA off of a knife. (Assorted searches, combined)

  • #2,259
BW went to the dumpster at the liquor place before he bought all the tools and such.

Interesting.

The CW believes that the searches about a knife preceded his searches for how to dismember, therefore one can conclude that a knife was used in the murder.

Judge will consider wording regarding speculation.
