My understanding is that they remain in state custody as until he gets his murder charge he still has parental rights. Ana's sister petitioned for custody at one time IIRC. I imagine today's verdict will open up that avenue again.

It is my hope that, while they are in the CW's custody, that they are placed with family and have been.

Although.... I can think of two people who might fight/ have fought an arrangement like that.

Wherever they are, I hope they are safe and know they are loved, by those who loved Ana.

I would love a verdict by day's end but I think the jury will tale longer. Not because BW put forth an excellent defense or because Pros didn't put on a very compelling strong case. Simply because it is a no body case and I think they will take their time, wanting to be sure they are doing the right thing.

At the end of this though I fully expect a guilty verdict.

Isn't it just after 3:00 p.m. in Mass now?

I think the debate will be between Murder 1 and Murder 2, and that may take a bit for them to come together on. I'll be satisfied with either.

I just listened to the closing arguments.

The D theme that Brian was a loving husband and loving father, was a belly flop bc anyone could see that Brian’s actions proved he was neither.

I was disappointed in the closing the prosecution presented altho not surprised. That lawyer is not strong imo. Her message missed the clear opportunity to pull it all together specifically with regard to premeditation.

So it’s up to the jury …My hunch is we get a guilty but they may have to compromise and settle on 2nd degree.

I, too, do not think they’re going to want to be dragging it out through a weekend.

I feel that if the judge thought they needed a ton of time, she would have just had them start on Monday? It wouldn’t surprise me if it goes past 5:00 or so tonight (bummer for us, LOL), but she may just want them to get it done before everyone goes home.
