The New Year's Eve party would have been the last time people saw her alive and could speak to her demeanor. I am surprised none of the attendees have said anything. AFAIK, there have been zero details about the party.
Maybe they were asked by LE to not say anything. I have a feeling it will be part of the story.

I keep seeing mention of this party, where did this come from?

Heartbreaking. They are always the ones who suffer most :(

Were they taken by a friend/relative or do they mean "children were removed" in the CPS sense?

Fox News Digital obtained exclusive images showing a man who appears to be Walshe's husband, Brian Walshe, at the scene. He drives a red Volkswagen away from the home.

Three children were seen being transported in a separate vehicle, a gray Volvo, by who are believed to be friends or relatives, away from the home, Fox News Digital can report. Law enforcement appeared to have moved the family from the house to investigate its contents.

Good question, not sure who the woman was. But she talked to the LE officer for a while before heading into the house, then driving away with them.

The children do have an aunt in Toronto (Ana's sister). I wonder if she has flown down.

I think this is interesting information to collate:

from State Police stop ground search for missing Cohasset mother Ana Walshe

from Here's what we know in case of missing Mass. woman Ana Walshe

Perhaps poor reporting, but they conflict a little. In both, a "relative" (not her husband) sees her leave at 4am and that she was "presumably called" to work for an emergency - not confirming that a call had actually occurred. The latter article, in contrast, has a lot of details "she left that morning to go [wherever] via [transporation] because of [reason]" from the "family member," not mentioning her husband specifically.

I am really curious when Ana was last seen by anyone outside of her house. I saw an article earlier today that she had a friend who spoke with her around the 27th and then her messages got a little odd after. I'll try to find and edit a link back here, but I'm worried that Ana may not have made it even to NYE.

i saw that article too it was comments made by a friend from DC, initials CW. I had the same thoughts but it contradicts other alleged friend statements that Ana and husband had hosted friends NYE.

Welcome to Websleuths, @Bob Loblah. Thanks for being here for Ana.

I was just going to say, we don't know if anyone other than family was celebrating NYE. It can be called a party just because there is cake! IMO, there were no attendees other than the residents of the home. We are being told a fairy tale of last time/date seen at a party in her home.

I think this is the first place I saw it. Wasn't reported as a "party" per se. ? MOO

Kurir

Wish I could figure out how to translate the articles. Part of it says "her son-in-law told her not to worry about her missing daughter".

If there were no guests there on New Year's Eve, I wonder when Ana was really last seen in the home.
Hopefully specialists have questioned the poor children, at least the oldest? or will?

That's what I was getting at. It's been mentioned as a given/established fact that there was a party

Hi. Yes, given that most articles do not report a party and that there have been no other details, it does seem like what you describe is quite possible. IOW, one of the things I had assumed was a given, the party, may not have occurred.

If that info is accurate, I wonder if she could've left with those friends.

Great find, @Knox! From Google Translate:

[...]

Yesterday, the courier found Ana's mother Milanka, who lives in Belgrade. The worried woman told us that she has not slept for days and that she is on medication. As she says, her other daughter, who lives in Canada, informed her that Anna was missing.

I don't know what to do with myself! Alone in the bedroom, I wonder where my daughter is and if she is okay. I am in daily contact with my son-in-law Brian, who reported her missing, but also with my other daughter in Canada - says Milanka and adds that she cannot even guess the reason for Ana's disappearance.

As far as I know, on New Year's Eve, nothing indicated such a scenario. Anna, Brian, their children and friends were in their home and enjoying themselves. Anna called me around one hour after midnight to wish me a Happy New Year. I can't forgive myself for not answering! I was sleeping and, like a dreamer, I saw the call and said to myself "I'll call her in the morning". Ana then called her sister, but she didn't answer either, and her godmother from Belgrade couldn't hear the phone because of the music - says a visibly worried woman.

[...]

As they explained to me, she was supposed to go to the airport together with a colleague, but no one knows if she got into that taxi. What calms me down is the fact that my brother-in-law told me that he is convinced that she is alive and well, and I believe him! - says Milanka and adds that her daughter and son-in-law had a good relationship and marriage.

[...]

... says our interlocutor, adding that Anna's two phones have been unavailable since the moment of her disappearance, and that her credit cards have not been used since January 1.

Is it possible she may have used an alias with fake ID, passport, etc., to flee the country for whatever reason?
Could she still have a Serbian passport?

Even so, I think the authorities would still be able to find out if she left the US on a Serbian passport under her maiden name.

I don't know that I would assume that. His bond conditions included monitoring back in 2018 but they may have changed since then. Does anyone have a link to something recent? MOO
The most recent thing I saw was the DOJ sentencing update memorandum from the Fall that has been linked a few times here already. They said they original proposed a suspended sentence with home confinement for the first year but now they were recommending jail time due to the irregularities.

I would assume he is still on home confinement and only allowed to go a few places JMO

Okay, so he'd still have the electronic monitoring device then. I was only able to skim those docs but plan to revisit them. If I can find them, lol. Thank you! MOO

But what kind of emergency would she have to attend to from hours away that no one in DC could? She doesn’t work in maintenance for the company.
This.

Hah. My literal first thought was... she's a Russian spy and has gone to ground!
Right? There’s one of those storage units close by. I’m like she walked there…Carrie Mathis left a secured unit with a lock box and everything she needed. *not making this into a joke before I get torn apart, I know this could be very serious. However I am literally watching homeland and this all seems like it could be doable. NOTHING surprises me*
