#NOW Police are searching the woods near County Street in Rehoboth for 18 year old Kylee Monteiro. She was reported missing on Thursday and was last seen in the area. Her family tells me she’s 11 weeks pregnant. Anyone with information should contact Rehoboth Police.

Anyone with information on Kylee’s whereabouts should contact Rehoboth Police. The family is asking Uber/Lyft drivers in the area to see if they picked up anyone matching her description and requesting that any nearby shelter contact police if she may be there.

Kylee is a graduate of Attleboro High School and was three months pregnant when she went missing, according to her sister.

She said Kylee had been living at a house for pregnant homeless women, and went to pick up some belongings from her boyfriend’s house, which was the last anyone heard from her.

***Warren Upper Reservoir in Rehoboth is one of many locations police were seen searching for Kylee in the County Street area, with a dive team looking in the water.

ABC6 asked Faith what she’d want people to know about Kylee.

“She’s amazing. She’s so friendly and lovable, she’s outgoing, but also timid at the same time,” she said. “She doesn’t have survival instinct to survive out here on her own. That’s for sure.”

Family of Rehoboth woman reported missing desperately trying to find her

Police in Rehoboth are searching for an 18-year-old who has been missing since Thursday, and her family told NBC 10 that she’s 11 weeks pregnant.

Kylee’s older sister, Faith Monteiro, said her younger sister never falls off the face of the Earth.

“I’m in contact with my sister every day. She’s always contacting somebody. She’s always reaching out. She never falls off the face of the Earth like this. She never disappears. This is not like her at all ,and we’re really worried about her,” said Faith Monteiro. “I know my sister would not willingly leave, walking out in the middle of the woods at night. I don’t think any of us would do that.”

In the following WGBY video, Kylee's friend says that Kylee had been living with her boyfriend. The last time the friend talked to Kylee, Kylee said that she and the boyfriend had a fight and she didn't feel safe. The friend was the last one to talk to her, Wednesday night (Aug 6) She sent a text message to her sister on Aug 7, but the last time her voice was heard was Aug 6.

Search underway in Massachusetts for missing pregnant teen

Police with K-9 units have been searching woods where they say Kaylee Monteiro was last seen.

"She's timid and scared and doesn't know how to be on her own," said her sister Faith Monteiro.

Her family says Kylee just graduated from high school and had plans to go to welding school. Her pregnancy complicated those plans, and her family was doing all they can to support her.

"She had great potential," said Piette (family friend.) "When she found out she was pregnant we were trying to work with her as best as possible to help her establish and have goals to be a mom and how to be a mom."

On post #5 it says a friend talked to her on 8/6 and Kylee was living with the boyfriend but felt unsafe, she texted ( if her) on 8/7. So to me it sounds like she left between 6th and 7th or something happened. I wonder if they were able to verify she was in that shelter? IMO

It took me a little while to find this but her parents are no longer living. I got started digging when a friend of Kylee's made a comment on her FB page about Kylee's mom being "proud of her" and it was written in the past tense. The woman interviewed as Kylee's sister in the links already provided lives in another state.

So I did further searching and found a petition for guardianship of a minor (Kylee) filed in 2020 by her material Aunt. Kylee's mother AND father were listed as deceased. (Court document attached, Aunt/Uncle who were caring for her at the time are referenced as are her parents, no mention of siblings or other adult relatives - that section is blank in the court document).

Her mother died in December of 2015. The Managed Guardianship case was ultimately dismissed when the petitioner(s) did now show up for the hearing.

From what I gather, the police were searching the area around County Street and an unspecified water reservoir. Based on maps, it appears as though Warren Upper Reservoir is the reservoir that is being referenced, but I haven't heard anyone mention the name of the reservoir. According to Kaylee Monteiro's Facebook, her boyfriend is Gregory Groom. There are prom pictures of them together. He *looks older than her--(basing this on the prominence of deep crow's feet wrinkles in his photos & lean facial features), but I have no idea if he truly is significantly older than her or not. There's nothing in her facebook to suggest anything was amiss between them, but in one of the prom photos, you can see the house she was last seen at in the background, so it seems her prom pictures were taken at his house.
