According to Kaylee Monteiro's Facebook, her boyfriend is Gregory Groom. There are prom pictures of them together. He *looks older than her--(basing this on the prominence of deep crow's feet wrinkles in his photos & lean facial features), but I have no idea if he truly is significantly older than her or not. There's nothing in her facebook to suggest anything was amiss between them, but in one of the prom photos, you can see the house she was last seen at in the background, so it seems her prom pictures were taken at his house.

The house looked like a shed in progress. IMO

It took me a little while to find this but her parents are no longer living. I got started digging when a friend of Kylee's made a comment on her FB page about Kylee's mom being "proud of her" and it was written in the past tense. The woman interviewed as Kylee's sister in the links already provided lives in another state.

So I did further searching and found a petition for guardianship of a minor (Kylee) filed in 2020 by her material Aunt. Kylee's mother AND father were listed as deceased. (Court document attached, Aunt/Uncle who were caring for her at the time are referenced as are her parents, no mention of siblings or other adult relatives - that section is blank in the court document).

Her mother died in December of 2015. The Managed Guardianship case was ultimately dismissed when the petitioner(s) did now show up for the hearing.

She was only 46. She had 2 daughters, Kylee and her sister H______.
Their mother was also survived by 3 stepchildren.

Thanks for your extra research. I found her Mom's obituary yesterday. I did note that the year of death was listed as 2019 but the guardianship papers for Kylee filed with the court that I attached in my first post with the court link showed the correct month and day but listed the year as 2015. It was written in by hand so likely a "typo". The guardianship was filed 2020 so a 2019 death makes more sense. I am assuming even though the guardianship was declined she continued to live with her Aunt and Uncle but couldn't confirm that. She also had a paternal grandfather and a step grandmother listed in the Guardianship documents.

Many proms allow guests if they are less than age 21. Her boyfriend is slightly past that age based on public records for the town. It looks like he posed with her in multiple shots prior, but did not attend with her based on her Facebook photos.

Many schools have age limits, usually 19 or 20, on prom dates. As for the barn, maybe she liked the outdoor theme and wanted them taken there? Lots of people do that.

Unfortunately, that is now the case, but for many decades, the #1 cause of death for pregnant women in the developed world was the same as that for women in general aged 15 to 44, and that was automobile accidents. Increased auto safety has changed that.

I don't know if anyone besides the bf 'saw' her at his home location, but that is where she is last reported being seen. The area, about 26 acres of woods, a large reservoir is also by that property. Sounds like she went alone to retrieve some belongings after a blow up with him. She had contacted her sister and others reported by a sister, that she was very fearful regarding his behavior towards her, including fear of her life. I would think and hope that was AFTER she saw him while collecting her things at his house or wherever he met her around his house. I would hope she would not go there after, alone. Just is very confusing, but she did let sister and friends know she was upset, but had calmed down. He was aggressive and violent in past. Of course, never should of stuck around him, a young girl right out of HS and recently preg by him, unfortunately for her. BUT, still being searched for, one way or another. She will be found and sure it won't be good at all. IMO

The land would be inherited property as his father had passed away a few years ago and seemed very respected and beloved. Of course her sister reports that Kylee was very excited about becoming 'a mom' and had a name picked out. The bf I am sure was not on the same page as financial support and other things were on his mind, hence the DV issues per sister. So awful as this young lady seemed so outgoing and loving life and productive for herself despite losing mother and pretty much 'on her own', surviving and going forward. IMO

I would think he’d contact her sister, friends, family first before assuming she’s missing and reporting that to police?
