The girl originally said that PC had shown her how to write her name in Chinese. So I'm under the impression that she did say earlier that he said he had visited China.
So his lawyer showed the statement she gave poluce/prosecution before.

Do we know that they didn't keep the equipment as evidence? The "cleaner" removed blood from the machine for testing, but that doesn't mean they didn't keep the machine as evidence. Unless it's been stated and I just missed it.

I too am still disturbed that anyone could see a bathroom covered in blood and not think to go get someone to see it. I would imagine no matter where you are from, or what language you speak, a bathroom with blood coming from under the stalls, is not a normal day at the office.

Ramci did not mention the red hands we have heard about before although he clearly saw PC just after the murder, just outside the bathroom. Wouldn't he have noticed the bloody hands?

The student probably made a statement to police during their investigation, and what she said would have been written down. If a witness does not remember what s/he previously said in their statement, attorneys are allowed under certain circumstances to provide the witness with that statement to "refresh their recollection" and help them to continue to testify. It's a rule of evidence and common during trials.
