Carter's mother, Gail, also told Lynn Roy that her daughter had sought counseling over the situation and that she learned her daughter continued to text her son's cellphone. Police learned in September that Carter had texted Conrad's cellphone 71 times after his death.
I think the "Carter was brainwashed" defense is the beginning of a crack. Her attorney is trying to present her as vulnerable to something-I am sure she is vulnerable to many things. She craves limelight and attention. Her close friends describe instability in her personality. Wonder if the atty will eventually recuse himself or if he is an old family friend?

I think there are all kinds of ways you could look at that kind of obsession.
Unfortunately, 2 mentally ill people coordinating on a bad idea may not qualify as a felony. OR this case could be a groundbreaking case that will result in new laws that will catch up to the technology utilized in this case.

Rest in peace, Conrad! I pray for his family members.
This young woman is morally bankrupt and very sick. Her words could be taken as wanton disregard. I do wonder, however, whether she will found legally culpable.
Has anyone been able to find a archived version of Michelle's facebook? She changed the privacy settings so that no one can see it anymore. I heard that her mom was posting pictures for her on facebook of her trip to Disney World?? (The court ordered that she not use the internet for anything other then schoolwork.)
