The Police Department is seeking information on the whereabouts of a 30-year-old woman.

Joanna Brown of Worcester was last seen about 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31 at the Bean Counter on Grove Street where she has worked eight years, never missing a shift, the bakery said. Brown has not shown up to work or been in contact with family since Friday morning, Oct. 31.

The Worcester Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating 30-year-old Joanna Brown of Worcester. She was last seen leaving her place of work, the Bean Counter on Grove Street, around 9 a.m. on Friday October 31st. She is 5’6” with hazel eyes.

Brown may be in a 2025 Gray Mitsubishi Outlander with MA REG: 5GPN93 and could be in the Holyoke/Springfield area. She has not shown up to work or contacted friends or family, which is unlike her.

If you have any information about her whereabouts, please call 911 or call 508-799-8606.

"She called me. I talked to her, but she had things that she needed to take care of, and things happen, so I said, 'Sure,'" recalled Alice Lombardi, the bakery's owner.

Worcester police say that's the last time she was seen or heard from by family or friends.

On Saturday, Lombardi knew something wasn't right.

"For her not to even call in and not show up is just unheard of," she said. "She's literally never called out. She is a model employee."

Members of the Worcester Police Department are investigating an SUV that matches the description of a vehicle sought in connection with a woman who went missing on Friday.

Investigators were seen working the parking lot outside Green Hill Towers, on Mount Vernon Street, where some residents said the vehicle matched the description provided by police.

The vehicle was later towed away from the scene and a medical examiner's van also arrived at the scene, also leaving the scene after some time.

This is the first I've read of her as I was offline a while - why was she listed as "endangered when she went missing?" Missing, endangered woman found dead
I didn't see anywhere that she was listed as endangered in anything prior to this article. I am assuming if it was it would be due to the fact that it was so out of character for her to not be in contact with family and miss work.

I sure hope this wasn't an OD, she doesn't seem to be the normal victimology but it still could be...Prayers to all who love her.

I'm local to where this occurred. I would often go to the bakery where she worked. My friend and I. She was so sweet, very nice, always. We really liked talking to her. She'd worked at that same bakery for so long. It's very surprising (IMO), although I didn't know her personally, only small talk.

I really hope they're looking into who called her right before she left work early.

She told her supervisor that she needed to leave for some personal reasons,” Miranda told the outlet. “Her manager asked if she needed Saturday off as well and Joanna said no. That she should be back for Saturday, but she did not report to work on Saturday.”

The lack of communication was unusual.

We wouldn't likely know it this soon, unless there was obvious trauma, which has not been mentioned. If there was no obvious cause they'll likely run tox tests (i.e. possible prescribed drug reaction, or non prescribed drug toxicity) and that can take 10-12 weeks and is usually done in conjuction with the autopsy.

Yes, I'm aware. I was just posting that I didn't read anything yet. Thanks
