JM told Sgt. Goode that Karen was asking where John was with 0 mention of Karen ‘screaming’ or saying she hit John. No mention of a cracked taillight to Sgt. Goode. JM is denying *any* memory of what her conversation with Sgt. Goode detailed. She told NO officers on scene that KR was screaming or hysterical over the phone.

Seems like the ‘I hit him x3’ story came later, after the scene, after proctor interviewed JM, but before the grand jury. MOO.

She is saying many pointless things. Why can’t she just answer yes or no? Why must she see every page of her prior testimony after AJ reads it? Surely, she went over it before today. She’s purposefully being difficult- not unlike last year.
She was maddening last time, not much has changed it seems Imo

Also denying memory of her conversation with Officer Mullaney… where again, she did not mention Karen screaming or saying ‘I hit him’.

JM says she remembers her conversation with Sgt. Lang, where she said Karen was upset that John had not came home. But again, no mention of Karen saying her taillight was cracked, no mention of a fight, no mention of ‘I hit him’.

Jen talking over AJ and avoiding the question. She knows how bad she looks right now.

  • #746
So, Jen did NOT mention ‘I hit him’ to a grand jury. She did NOT mention ‘I hit him’ to ANY officers on the scene that day. But now she insists that’s what happened that day. And Proctor is the only one that has ‘I hit him’ written down. Hmm…

Judge Cannone is absolutely showing her bias here running interference against the defense on behalf of the witness

Wow. Just wow.

And Judge Cannone ending for the day when things get too heated for JM. Ridiculous.

Interesting point by the Court TV talking heads just now.
When either party objects, Her Honor has a habit of saying "say it a different way", but doesn't always say "Sustained" or "Overruled".
They're saying that this could be an appeal issue, if it comes to that, since she isn't exactly making a ruling.
IMO.
Edit: Adding proper terminology
Hopefully we just get a not guilty and all of the appeal issues go away.

If I were a juror, my head would be spinning. She is SO oppositional.

And the judge allows JM to pontificate endlessly and not answer the original question posed to her by AJ. All this endless verbiage while looking at the jury.

  • #753
Why did Judge Canonne not tell the jury to disregard JM not answering AJ’s question, and instead taking the opportunity to paint the defendant as ‘crazy’? How inappropriate.

  • #754
Yeah, when she earlier interrupted AJ and said ‘No, you asked me..’ and then answered the question the way she wanted to answer it, I was surprised Judge Cannone allowed it.
I wasn't

She just said something like, when I remembered it, I called and told them or him.

Well I feel like hearing your friend say "I hit him X3" would be memorable enough to recall it at ANY POINT during the entire ordeal. I'd say immediately right away the first time any officer spoke to her, she would be able to remember THAT statement and not need time to recall it later.

So nothing tomorrow at all? And will Jen return Friday? Is AJ’s cross done or is he going to continue with her?

Oh he’s just getting started

Not sure if AJ will be allowed to follow up, although it’s possible. Brennan will probably want to get the last word and try to clear some of the mess up that JM just spread. MOO.

Oh I see her , look what he's doing to me face to the jury. They must see the bias of judge and JMC refusing to answer questions in a rational response, not turn her answers all inside out and lengthy. IMO

The judge is not impartial and currently resents that she had to allow arrca imo. This is why the judge is not doing her proper job in reigning the witness in. Jmo.
