You're making my point with your comment "KR cooks her own goose". You're making a decision from watching one comment from one documentary instead of taking the time and effort to watch all testimony from the trial. I hope people never get themselves into a situation that requires a trial and others make a guilty decision from hearing one comment made in a documentary.
MOO
No I've watched and read enough to know what is truth and what is concoction. It was well more than one comment too, testimony, videos too. She was very angry, she hit him with the vehicle probably more than once, she left the scene, she ranted and raved and then she proceeded to lie when she realized he'd been lying in a snow storm for hours, nobody had found him and helped him. She rightfully panicked but it was too late by then. AJMO

IMO KR did not cause JO's death as he was not hit by a car.
That's not what KR seemed to think. Right off the bat...because she knew what she did. MO

BBM - first I have heard of multiple strikes! What makes you think she hit him "probably more than once"?

Does anyone know the difference in height between KR & JO?
If he was a few inches taller than KR wouldn't his head have been visible to the witness who just testified?
John was 6’2” as stated in court last week. I don’t know how tall Karen, but in a photo of her and John together, her head is about an inch above his shoulder.

ARCCA reconstruction experts would differ with that. JMOO

And what was this lie?
Per her testimony last week:
1) Identified herself as her sister to the agents.
2) Neglected to inform them that she made five phone calls (including to BA and the DA's office) during the ten minutes she needed to get ready for their interview with her.
Those are the big two, IMO.
It's been covered/talked about/and I believe video links have been provided many times in this thread.
Again, IMO.

You’re certainly entitled to your opinion. But opinions alone don’t meet the legal standard for guilt. Saying “Karen’s own words will convict her” doesn’t hold if those words were panicked speculations, taken out of context, or contradicted by physical evidence (which they are).

I feel that I addressed your earlier claims about the taillight, the medical examiner’s findings, Proctor’s documented behavior, or the inconsistencies in witness statements. If those details are truly “irrelevant,” it should be easy to explain why. But just dismissing them without engaging doesn’t strengthen your argument. It actually makes it look like the defense might be right, precisely because no one wants to touch the uncomfortable facts that don’t line up with preconceived opinions. Let’s not forget: in a court of law, it’s not enough to say “I believe.” You need proof. And if the state had slam-dunk evidence, it wouldn’t need to rely on inconsistent stories, shady police work, or vibes. MOO.
We definitely seemed to have a different opinion on what is being speculated on in the trial. And that's fine, like you said, everyone is entitled to their opinions on what's actually occurring and why.

Picture of them next to each other, she's tiny.

And you got all that from watching the trial???

What was that? Judge tells Brennan to call his next witness, he calls Katie McLaughlin, we wait a few then Judge calls for the morning break?

  • #933
RN just admitted that he saw Karen alone in the car - no John.
I think he knew he may have made a mistake by that comment at the very end after he was cross-cross examined by Yannetti. I could see his mind was thinking furiously right before he was dismissed...
So, where was John?
MOO
ETA: I don't remember him saying he never saw anyone in the passenger seat last trial. I believe he said he didn't recall.

They couldn't find her in the hallway IMO. Judge didn't want to waste time and had to use the washroom probably.

I wish that they'd pulled the bar receipts for the main witnesses.
IMO.

Some of it yes but not gavel to gavel.
I'd like to recommend to you to watch the entire trial(s) to get a sense for the entire picture.

She texts her brother to pick her up at the albert house but doesn't bother to text him before he gets there that she changed her mind and didn't want to be picked up?
Consider that it may have been strongly suggested to her to stay where she was for the time being. Maybe lots going on there about this time.

He was not in the car, he was inside the house.

I can totally see JM being front and center in this, which makes sense as she and her hubby drove both girls home.

Or in the back yard, or in the garage, or just to the right of the side door where it's covered...
