Katie McLaughlin says she took no notes regarding herself hearing Karen say ‘I hit him.’

She says it’s down to the lead paramedic or officer on scene to take notes.

AJ is playing footage of the scene. Katie is TAKING NOTES. She now said she takes notes on her glove.

They all live in Canton and all know who is who on the Fire dept/police dept, EMT's.. and they DEF talk and discuss. She knew who the Alberts were and who was related to who and how. There is ONE fire dept and police dept and they all work together many times, such as this. IMO
Yup, 911 is an ALL HANDS IN kind of phone call. The very first part of most investigations.

it would have been so much easier for Karen to admit she had a drunken mishap with her car, however , that is not what happened...think what you want to but she was in a rage and committed homicide...and I feel like this is what she refuses to admit to and why we are on trial today for the second time.

one reason being that all these people cannot drunkenly collude and frame someone and then stick to a cohesive story with no leaks for all this time as to the truth.

If I am the jury I am not excusing Karen over the piecey at best testimony of drunk driver cops who were completely ship faced in the early morning hours. The people involved created a bad situation by hosting an after-hours get together but I don't think they framed Karen. It's way too convoluted to be a frame up. mOO
So please tell me why they are ALL being caught in lies?

More video. Katie indicated a specific point where Karen said ‘I hit him’ x3 or x4. The officer is standing next to Karen. No reaction from the officer upon the alleged utterance of Karen’s (alleged) statement.

Katie: You’ll have to talk to officer Serif (? Unsure of spelling)
AJ: Oh, we have.

AJ shows Katie video of her writing something down. She claims she’s writing on a latex glove.
AJ: Did you write ‘I hit him’ On your glove?
KM: No, I did not.

AJ: Did you write ‘I hit him?’ On your glove?
KM: No, I did not.
AJ: Whatever it was that you were talking to Ms. Read about, it was important enough that you were writing things down.
KM: Yes, I wrote down some of the things that were said.
KM agrees with AJ that she likely wrote down John’s name, and allergies, age/stats, cause of injury, etc. so why no mention of ‘I hit him.?’

Katie now says she didn’t understand the significance of Karen’s alleged statements at that time.

I did not watch the evasive T1 . I did get all the media info and all that ,but where did this fit of rage stuff come up? I also want to look into the pool theory but I am trying hard to stay in line with the present, but in all of that I fail to see anything that indicates KR is a wicked cop killer with homicidal impulses.
Is there something you can point to ,even if you PM it to me.

A few minutes after the location signal reappeared, starting at 12:41, JMc starts to oddly call/text JOK over and over in a very short time span, as if intentionally trying to create some sort of storyline.
... JMc later tells an insistent and repeated lie that KR was still there at those times she tried to contact his phone starting at 12:41, implying JOK would have been in her car and then struck a bit after 12:45 (to fit the early cw tale of events).
Thank you for your timeline! I keep wonderful why JenMc wouldn’t just call Karen’s phone to see if she knew where John was? Why keep calling/texting him repeatedly w/o answer. Wouldn’t the next logical conclusion be to contact the person he’s with?

Most people are likely referring to Karen’s angry voicemails, which IMO, would be the last thing you send if you just angrily ran over your SO.

Not a single police officer on scene wrote down this alleged ‘I hit him’ statement.

There was a complete lack of canine DNA on the 4 tiny swabs taken from unknown locations of his clothing. The swabs were not identified as to wear on his clothing they were taken from. They could have come from the opposite side of his shirt. They could have come from the underside of his shirt. The fact is we don't know and that is another major failure in the investigation right there. How convenient.
We'll hear from the experts. This was touched upon in trial x1. Dog claws and their propensity to shed DNA. There was brief mention on defense cross of the DNA witness who worked on the shirt IIRC. Looking forward to hearing more about that in due course.

ETA to clarify, the DNA expert said something briefly about animal claws not being big shedders of dna. I'll wait but this lack of DNA on the swabbed areas of the shirt should not just be assumed to be an issue imo.

A person I attended high school with, attended beach parties, showers and various other functions would be considered a friend unless I was intentionally trying to distance myself from that person. I don't believe a word out of her mouth. JMOO

So did Colin and Kevin.
That family really loves their Ford Edges, apparently.
IMO.
Although Brian Albert’s Ford edge was his work vehicle according to his testimony and I don’t know about Kevin Albert, who was also a cop and obviously Colin’s would be his personal vehicle

My cousin (who has the same family I have, which was LE heavy ) (eyeroll) Got herself a brand new all white one ,then proceeded to complain to everyone , people thought she was a cop so they all slowed down when she was behind them .. I laughed so hard. She did it on purpose. IMO..

Where's the proof of that, not speculation, proof? There is none. It's seems it was KR who was out of control angry that night, those calls she made to John highlight that perfectly. KR was the one repeatedly saying she hit him, not the people in the house. There are other witnesses to that not just JM. Are they ALL lying? I don't believe so. JMO KR knew she'd hit John, she was angry and drunk. I don't believe it's second degree murder but I sure believe it's her doing, her fault. AJMO
I felt the same way you did, until I heard the scientific evidence from ARCCA. Once they were able to show that John’s injuries were not consistent with a vehicle strike, they lost me. Honestly, the idea of everyone colluding seemed so far-fetched to me, but I’m not so sure now. The only thing I’m certain of is that Mr. O”Keefe’s body was not struck by a vehicle.
One of my good friends knew John for a long time and said he was a great person and completely loved his niece and nephew. My heart is broken for them. It’s truly devastating that we’ll probably never know exactly what happened.

I've seen zero evidence KR hit J with a car either. The first jury agreed and I have zero doubt this jury will also.
She’s being prosecuted for hitting him with her car, yet the CW has 0 evidence that his injuries are consistent with a vehicle strike. I just can’t overlook that one fact.

I hear what you’re saying, but I think we need to separate gut feelings from evidence. The idea that it would’ve been “easier” for Karen to confess assumes she actually did it, which remains unproven. Emotionally speculating that she was “in a rage” isn’t evidence. And theories don’t convict in a court of law, proof beyond a reasonable doubt does.

As for the idea that a cover-up is too “convoluted,” I’d argue the opposite. What we’re seeing isn’t some masterfully orchestrated plot, It’s a sloppy, reactive scramble by people trying to protect themselves, their jobs, and each other. That’s not far-fetched, that’s human nature, especially when reputations and careers are on the line. And frankly, if I’m on the jury, I’m not excusing the CW’s lack of forensic proof just because the social circle seems too messy to conspire. Sloppy doesn’t = innocent. It just means people may have panicked, and the state is now trying to patch together a weak case with inference and emotion.

Reasonable doubt isn’t a loophole. It’s the cornerstone of the justice system.

You know what I'm wondering? Where is all the anger over JOK being killed from all these very dear and close friends of his? It's not in any of their texts or messages on any machines. There's no anger from them in any interviews with the media. I find it hard to believe that none of them are angry or are showing any anger towards Karen Read for killing their friend. I know if one of my close friends were murdered I'd be beyond PO'd at those responsible. Good investigator's will tell you that people who are close to murder victim's almost always express anger towards someone or something. They will even display anger towards the police for not doing enough to find the killer. Yet none of these people appear angry. I find it strange.
