In my opinion, this is not a sad thing. However, In my opinion, the family might go after her in a civil court for wrongful death if found NG. And, I hope they do.
You find her guilty though evidence by extremely qualified experts in reconstruction, using physics on John's position say no car hit? Medical experts say no lower body trauma, only really the big deep gash on back of head up on the lawn. I sure would not be going on personal dislike of a person or the people at the party and the lies that are now being uncovered, why all those ... butt dials and furtive texts to just each other, the 'group'. The, if she pleads out it's over. If she fights it, it's an episode said Matt McCabe. What's over? NO more worrying and keeping all mum and stories straight and worry of the FBI coming again, the ones JMc lied to, ha. Not been just an episode much to their recent chagrin on the stand. HUGE big picture time hopefully or all actually watching and listening to the actual trials, otherwise bits of someone's sound bites and dribble. Cheers. IMO

Yes, attacked. They'd not win, they hope to for sure, they have their personal reasons and problems. IMO
I feel sad for his family and their grief. I do wonder if some time goes by if they really start to wonder why his so called friends keep getting caught in lies and things don't add up. It's easy for them to hate Karen because she is considered an outsider to them.

Maybe Bill Belichick was visiting?
(It's either BA or CA)
IMO.
Bill and his hoodie! I believe the Trooper said not a young guy when asked. That was a surprise little bit of info though. IMO

It's already been filed.

So is Yannetti saying that maybe his client’s last drink wasnt at 12:45 am? Perhaps defendant drinking more once she arrived back at John’s house? Speculation. moo.
Yannetti’s cross of forensic chemist was so confusing.

Timestamp 47:27
Yannetti: elimination phase correct

Witness: yes that's accurate and consistent with my understanding

Yannette: and during the absorption phase blood alcohol concentration can be rising correct

Witness: yes

Yannette: and to to determine whether somebody is in the absorption phase or the elimination phase you need to know when their last drink was

correct

Witness: yes - if you're performing that type of calculation um or if you're trying to determine if they've reached their

maximum that would be helpful information to have

Yannetti: the longer the time between the last drink and the test the more variability and potential for error there is in the extrapolation correct

Witness: can you ask the question again please

Timestamp 48:24 Yanetti: in this case you assumed that Ms reads last drink was at 12:45 a.m correct

Is the CW meeting the BRD criteria on day 10? I don't think so. moo

Is court over for the day?
Yes, it ended at 3:30 pm ET today. Court usually goes until around 4:00 pm ET. It varies.

A poster many pages back asked if Gallagher testified in the first trial.

No, he didn't.

ETA. And I'm glad they brought him on this time, reflecting the gross incompetence of the police handling, chain of custody etc.

So far the jury does not have any safe evidence from prosecution case to prove there is reasonable doubt.

IMO

I agree.
The jury will decide that.
My point was that a poorly carried out investigation is not evidence of KR’s innocence. Some seem to think that that alone exonerates her.
A poorly orchestrated investigation leads to reasonable doubt bc the evidence presented is not reliable. And that leads to a not guilty verdict. Not guilty does not
mean innocent - but the defendant goes free either way.
We should all want a thorough and honest investigation. It’s the only way to get justice for John.

To believe the conspiracy theory, heres what you’d have to believe actually happened.

  • A Boston PO’s son is having his birthday party at 34F; and the house full of his friends.

  • Also, family members, friends, police officers, and acquaintances show up to 34F.

  • A group of young teens heard no commotion, no fighting, yelling, pushing, punching, shoving, no noise related to a fight, or struggle.

  • Also, in the house, a German shepherd who possibly mauled the officer victim without leaving any evidence of dog DNA, or any other trace evidence of a dog attack, left abrasions on victims are, no barking, bleeding, dog hair on said victim.

  • No one heard or saw a body being dragged (taken) out of the house.

  • Ladies are dancing and singing to "its Raining Men” - oblivious to anything happening in the house or around them.

  • JMc googling hos long to die in cold, w/o a care in the world. Even though, John was her dear friend, she’s willing to cover up a crime for the people who attacked and killed John, or did JMc do it (?).

  • The conspiracy... kept secret by all, all these people keeping silent for over three years now. Not one person has come forward to explain what really happened to John in that house. No texts, no phone calls, nothing found to expose the “conspiracy” brilliantly hidden away like a treasure chest, without anyone utilizing Signal app, deletion of text messages, etc.

Totally.unrealistic.unbelievable.ludicrous.

-- Who knew there’d be a murder party at junior’s birthday party? Perfectly planned.
--The conspiracy is old, very old news. The “dog bite” shall be old news too.

Just another opinion of mine

The federal investigation found no evidence of corruption or collusion to frame Karen Read. The End.

Speaking of BRD.
The conflicted out Canton PD. ( Due to Kevin Albert/CPD being the brother of Brian Albert, the homeowner (per CPD officials)

The very same conflicted out CPD, sent officers to the search...
Had KEVIN ALBERT himself assist with arranging witness interviews...
Allowed and kept the alleged murder weapon at the CPD Sallyport for 3 days....

ummm....just how 'conflicted out' were they?

When she was released from hospital, she, her dad and brother went to John's house to retrieve her personal items and her car to then go to her parent's house. Her car was then towed from her parent's house, not sure of the time. The tow truck driver retrieving the car saw no real damage to the tail light at that time.
Thanks!
I don't recall the tow truck driver from last year, so I appreciate the info. I have questions haha Will keep thinking ... 🤔

I have questions about the pieces found, where they were found, how they were found. I had a lot of questions about the amount of snow and at what times, so the testimony from Gilman (the meteorologist) today, has helped me answer those. I don't really understand how they didn't see John's shoe at the scene at 6am. He was a big guy, doubt he had tiny feet or a tiny shoe.

I agree.

I didn't watch the first trial. I am trying to keep up this time. I of course can read all the comments here that pertain to the 1st trial. I see this hostility (my perception) toward Karen from some here and I don't agree with that. I think she is a victim here too EVEN IF she backed into JOK and that caused his death. She lost someone she loved.

I don't know what exactly happened to JOK, but what is clear to me is there are many people in this story that I find dishonest and this was NOT investigated correctly.

I don't get the idea that KR did anything intentionally, if she did hit him. She was drinking and driving, but JOK chose to get in a car with her as she did so and he was drunk as well. How many others were drinking at the bar that night and drove to the party? How many drank at the party and then drove home? I expect more from LEOs.

It's hard to say why people are deleting texts and calls and why stories are changing or things are remembered later that were never said before, but I think when you mix a lot of alcohol into the equation, what else do you expect? I have a hard stance on alcohol because I was hit by a drunk driver.. there is zero excuse for it. I also think many people that night likely were doing exactly what Karen did. Maybe none of them know exactly what happened to JOK, but pinning it on KR sure will take the weight off of them. People knew he was coming and never looked for him?

Honestly listening to some of the testimony and knowing the actions of some of these people just reminds me of middle school dramatics. Where are the adults here?
Thank you! I agree with your post 100%. Lots of irresponsibility happened that night and that’s not just on KR.

Yes he did!

And, I believe his testimony changed significantly regarding the timeline as well. When the search began was the question.

Trial 1- 5:41 SERT search began.
Trial 2- 5:24 SERT search began.

Yes, and criminal convictions in the USA depend on evidence beyond a reasonable doubt. Incompetent police investigations raise the question of reasonable doubt. Hope that helps.
This is probably gratuitous, but "guilty beyond a reasonable doubt" and juries etc are a common law inheritance of the USA, and is therefore shared with all common law countries. (eg UK, Canada, Aus, NZ, and even Ireland)
