Agree. I'm just nosey enough to want to know the background of some of these families.

Totally off topic here but I currently live in a beautiful, rural area of northern central Florida surrounding a small town where certain families have "run" this town/county, intermarried with other families who also have "run" this town/county for 3-4 generations.

They own businesses, are on councils, in zoning, and school affairs. One thing we don't have is police corruption, thank god. Other than that everyone else is an outsider. After 5 years living here, it's frustrating and not fun.

Like someone told us "for anything to change, we need more funerals." but that kind of power leeches down into the next generation of bullies and lazy, entitled idiots.

IMO, the Boston area has been and is very proud to be in LE or have family in LE or be married to LE.
So common in places, small towns. You are right, smothered, all stays the same as it works for them.. Love the motto.

Hyde turns to look at the jury to explain the “hos long to die in cold” search. She’s trying to explain her findings in the simplest terms.

Ms. Hyde used Cellebrite’s physical analyzer, Magnet Axion, and iLeap to initially examine JM’s phone.

I think Ms. Hyde may genuinely be too smart to be an effective witness for the CW. She’s deep diving where Brennan is asking for a simple answer.
Brennan is having a hard time keeping up with her according to his script. He likes to repeat the last 4-5 words from the witness' former answer to form another question

Oof. She’s couching/hedging her own replies to Brennan.

At this point in the trial, the jurors have heard way too much about the '2:27:47' phone call. The battle of the experts will be a wash, IMO. So, the jury may just blow right past the issue when deliberating.

I guess I'm bored but a couple questions. At this point and in the grand scheme of things known, does it matter or does anyone care anymore about the "2:27" call?????? AND does Brennans voice remind anyone of Anthony Hopkins voice in Silence of the Lamb????

Same as last trial IMO, since Green testified the exact opposite of Hyde. Hard to tell who is the better expert.

The defense doesnt want to hear the CW's expert's opinion on 2:27, its just too devastating. jmo

Brennan asks Hyde if she came to a conclusion about when the "Hos Long" search was done. Side bar after defense objection from Alessi.

Is this going to be another 3-hour + WASTE OF TIME? Her voice is already giving me a headache. That up tick at the end of every sentence. Poor gal. I'm sure that she is well educated and very proud of her degrees, certifications, etc., and company and all the nat'l attention it can bring her, we know in the end she will be neutralized by Alessi. Thank god for Alessi.

WTH is this poor jury thinking??????
Ms. Hyde is actually coming across, IMO, as a very good teacher, in how she's explaining tech things to the jury, easy to follow and understand. MO

I wonder if CW is having a hard time finding witnesses who want anything to do with this mess?? Their case is falling apart and we haven't even gotten to the good stuff yet.

JMO, none of us want to hear this prattle. Do we have a choice??

The more I’m looking into it, the more it seems that the MD trial judges ruling on Ms. Hyde’s testimony would be applicable to this case. Not sure why Judge Cannone excluded it, other than it seemed she was upset it wasn’t presented earlier.

In the MD case Ms. Hyde’s testimony was excluded from, she performed testing on a different model iPhone and a different OS than the defendant, and had to acknowledge that the differences could yield different test results. She also notably did not retain her notes, her data set, or her computer used to conduct her testing in that case.

Alessi brought in to assist with tossing the word salad. ☺️ jmo

Brennan is now laying some foundation with the witness before J Cannone will allow Hyde to come to her conclusion.

It will be over with the AARCA testimony. Did A cause B? No. JOK was not hit by a car, any car. JOK was beaten to death and not by KR. Simple. Case closed. Done. Over.

Ms. Hyde is insisting the ‘hos long’ search occurred at 6:24am.
