I think many of us who think this should end in a not guilty verdict (at this point with what has been presented) can see that it might be possible she hit him. We also see all the things that are very wrong with his case.

What I don't understand is the Karen is guilty no matter what group that can't see how wrong all this other stuff is. Saying this guy on the stand is a good witness? Saying the woman the other day was a good witness? IMO it's absurd to watch a witness lie on the stand and refuse to just answer questions and then admit to something finally and then say those are good witnesses. Good witnesses don't need to lie or avoid questions. They remember what to say because it's the truth and the story doesn't change because it's the truth. Some just plain refuse to say that LE made big mistakes here and that it's possible the mistakes will lead to a not guilty verdict.

I support and back the blue, but I also hold them to a standard that is above what the average person is held to. They should be transparent and forthcoming and admit mistakes. That is what a person with integrity does and I expect LEO to have the highest integrity. Covering for your buddies just because you are LE means you are just as bad as the person doing the wrong. A true good friend will hold you accountable because they want you to be a stand-up person. This trial is filled with people trying to hide behind a badge while not living up to the high standard a LEO should. That is why we are on trial 2 right now. IMO All just my opinion.

VERY well said!!! How anyone can look at this blockhead and think this in any way, shape or form is acceptable behavior in any profession needs to have their head examined IMO. Why are people making excuses for this fraud? Would you want him investigating a death of loved one? I wouldn't want him within 3 states of a loved one living or dead.

So let me get this straight here...the CW is not calling the lead investigator ( proctor), his commanding supervisor ( tully ), their own crash re-constructionist, ( paul ), the owner of the house who had a dead body on the front lawn just a couple of yards away from his bedroom ( brian albert), his soon to be ex- wife ( nicole), their adult kids who were having a party in the house that night ( brian jr, and caitlin ), the medical examiner, brian higgins who is a named suspect in JOK's murder and others... but is going to call 2 minors who lost the only father figure they had left in the world and who know absolutely nothing about what happened to their uncle that night on the stand to try to strangle an ounce of sympathy out of a jury who has surely checked out by this point.

How incredibly pathetic, desperate, and morally bankrupt do you have to be to think this is a good strategy and will play to your favor after the pathetic displays all your witnesses have exhibited thus far in this trial? Shame on you hank brennan! Shame on you!!!
They’re not calling all of those people??
I had no idea.

Also didn’t know about that divorce though I wouldn’t read too much into that. imo

We are watching trial " Strateegery" 101 right now. The defense team is well aware by now that Proctor, Higgins and Brian Albert will more than likely not be called, strategically by the CW because their testimonies are so damning to the CW's case.

By discussing the texts between Higgins and KR already in the trial, AJ is attempting to prove just how blinded the MSP ( Proctor et all ) in NOT investigating any other witness. He will get there, if Judge C 'allows it'.

HAH oh my god. YB just said to AJ ‘we had theories’. A minute later, he’s asking AJ to pull out a dictionary because he ‘doesn’t know’ what theory means. So infuriating.
I was late tuning in. Wish I saw this because it’s something you really have to see to believe. So strange and odd.

Everything has become unbelievable in this case.

I bet the judge eats lunch at 11 and makes the jury wait all day. These 30 minutes breaks are getting routine,

BEST post of the trial ! it is truly bizarre that no one came outside. mOO

It makes zero sense to me that a bunch of people, drunk or otherwise, beats a man to death in a basement, and then, instead of trying to hide the body or drive it a long way off and dump it in the woods, decide to carry it outside and dump it in the front yard for all to see.
It makes no sense either that the brainiacs in the house were thinking, “ oh, KR dropped him off there, let’s toss him in that spot so people will think she hit him”.
That is all absurd.
KR is probably going to be found not guilty because Massachusetts LE apparently is a joke, but she’s not innocent. Similar to jury nullification, she will walk to send a message to Massachusetts’ LE.
How badly that must make JOK’s family feel. He’s been pretty much forgotten here.

How do you know that's she's not innocent? Experts said he was NOT hit by a car.

You know she hit him. They didn't come out because they were drunk, they were cops, the insurance, and the possibility of being investigated. This whole thing is a mess and they should all be dismissed from duty. mOO

This trial must be on track to be shorter than t1 if the CW doesn’t call a bunch of people that they called in t1, I’d assume.

I’m not sure what they think they can accomplish, because while it’s a bad idea to put witnesses on the stand that will continue to tank your case, you’re showing that you…don’t have a case. This trial never should have happened.

I am very interested to see how the defense’s case differs this time around. Imo they had a lot to work with in the previous trial because it was such a mess. I have no doubt in their ability, just want to see how it goes.

Anyone have any clue how many more witnesses the CW has, or how much longer they will take?

I love how people are ignoring that experts hired by the FBI said he was not hit by a car.

Does the prosecution have to call a witness for the defense to call them also? What are the rules governing that?

because ARCCA are apparently a bunch of crooks that are willing to risk their entire professional reputation for Karen read.

Meanwhile, according to the anti’s, Jessica Hyde getting paid by the CW BEFORE the first trial is totally fine.

I agree with your post; however, if the jury considers the evidence only, she will be convicted.
If not, the jury will hang (definitively, if a juror is FKR).

Who didn’t come out? Anyone who was in the house wasn’t committing a crime - you can be drunk inside a residence. If the investigators had dug deep and found the videos from the bars and saw that everyone had been drinking and drove afterwards, what would happen? Obviously nothing since the videos are out there and no one was arrested, cited, etc. Remember these people are tight knit and seem to hold influence over a lot of things/people.. I doubt they had any fear about being investigated, they think they’re untouchable and you can see this in what we’ve seen in t1 and 2 so far.

imo

The evidence collected in paper bags and plastic cups? Evidence collected by a man who was so dirty he was removed from the force?
