Alessi is asking how those apparent glass pieces would have ‘rested’ on the bumper after a 30 minute tow. The Lexus had driven to Dighton and then back to Canton.

I've been asking that too. JMO

MH is a very credible witness and is answering truthfully I believe.
The "apparent hair" she said she picked up with a tweezers -she picked up very easily there was no "tug" or elbow grease needed. It was just perched there on a smooth surface.
I dont think the hair meant anything to either the D or P anyway, but after Alessi's questioning talking about the weather, about how the car had not been out in the cold etc that day, the impression is that somebody would have had to put the hair there.

JMO
Did Alessi say the car hadn't been out in the cold that day, meaning the 29th?

I thought it was covered in snow when it was towed to the Sallyport. IMO

The magical hair that stayed on the car but then she answered Alessi's question by stating it was easy to take off the car with tweezers and it didn't put up any resistance

And yes, I believe the jury is asking themselves the same question. I think ALessi pretty well obliterated the glass and the hair "evidence" - altho I was never sure what it actually was evidence of

On to the apparent hair.

The hair is rotated almost 180 degrees in the opposite direction from one photo to the next. MH says it may just be angles. MH didn’t take the pictures, so Alessi notes she does not know for sure if they are taken from different angles.

The angles are slightly off, but the shape of the hair has definitely changed, IMO. One looks like a fishhook, and in the other, like a C.
BBM-or...the hair apparent?

If someone just placed that hair on the car, it had to be after the car was possibly wiped off from snow, I did notice the dried salt. In the sallyport, dried car and the bit of hair sat there? Was it ever confirmed through DNA that it WAS JOK's tiny bit of hair?
I have to give this one to @mrjitty for linking me to this earlier - in trial 1, according to CW witness Tess Chart, the hair had mitochondrial DNA that matched John’s mitochondrial DNA with a probability of 95%. Important to note that John’s mom and any siblings he has will have the same mitochondrial DNA, since it’s inherited only from the mother.

The hair did not have enough material for autosomal testing. So we likely know, but it’s not 100%.

Alessi knew that MH couldn’t answer the questions and didn’t expect her to. He’s pointing out to the jury everything the CW alleges the car went through and still had glass resting on the bumper and a single hair. MOO.
I wasn't watching it all but listening... it stuck out to me when he asked her about the reflection of the sticker... do you have DOUBT? He wasn't asking her directly, he was asking the jury indirectly IMO.

Cannot believe that there is yet another mirror image or reflection or whatever in this trial.

I liked how she just answered the questions, didn't try to be shady, but the picture of the glass now makes her look bad.

Once again a prosecution witness ends up helping the defense more. When will this farce of a trial ever end?

Yeah I was thinking today. Which CW witness so far has proven Karen’s guilt? The strongest thing we have is the ‘I hit him’ statements, and those seem to be collusion between Kerry Roberts, Katie McLaughlin, and Jen McCabe (and Kerry walked her statement back).

Well we're in it for the long haul now. JMO

I don't think the witness is being obtuse, but you can tell from the background surrounding the hair that while the angle is slightly different, the hair is in a different position in the photos.

Yes, I think she’s a scientific mind. She doesn’t want to affirm something she can’t prove. Glad the jury got to see it, though!

Johns niece testified today that John and Karen never put hands on each other.

It seems to me that passion (along with alcohol) really fueled their relationship. They say there is a fine line between love and hate and I would be willing to bet they were super hot for each other on a physical level.

I agree. I’m in a relationship where we are both passionate when things are good and when we argue things are very passionate as well. YMMV

Don't forget the drive from 34 Fairveiw to 1 Meadow, Karen's driving in the morning then to Dighton and back.
