I really hope BH and AllieM get called soon. Now that we have seen video at Canton Headquarters and BH moving things all around, will AllieM be asked again about picking up a dog and bringing it to the police station instead of driving straight home with boyfriend like she originally claimed......many questions left unanswered.
Right, she was found out that she did NOT go straight home. Why not tell the truth, why a big deal? Where did she not want it to be found out where she really was. Yes, we heard the story of suddenly seeing a little white dog in the light snow falling, brought it to the police station. POLICE STATION: BH there. The 'owners' were said to be outside it so no need to go in. NOW, let's see the cameras of the outside of the police station at that time, besides BH, but is HER car there??? IMO

So Maureen Hartnett confirmed in her cross examination today that JOK’s DNA was NOT in the tail light.
Nor was it found on the red plastic taillight pieces I believe.

Man dies a very violent death.

Prosecution fixating on a hair fragment (on a car he was in that night and which was often parked in his garage) and small glass shards as proof.

I should correct myself - his blood wasn’t found. There was touch DNA from John as well as two unknown profiles. Proctor and Buhkenik were cleared. But the defense went out of their way to point out that Berkowitz, Kevin Albert, and Tully weren’t swabbed for DNA.

I mean, she was sloppy too, only swabbing the tailight with 1 swab for the entire area, only swabbing 1 of 6 cups. But you’re right, it’s not like she was given pristine evidence to work with
Oh, and I forgot to add earlier - MH testified that they didn’t even test those two swabs.

ETA: Evidence in Karen Read's case under the microscope as forensic scientist testifies at trial

‘According to Hartnett, investigators did not test the Solo cup swabs, leaving open the question of whether the cups actually contained blood and, if they did, whose blood it was.’

I can just picture Proctor going through the passenger seat of the car. Finding long hair and leaving it and then aha! A dark wavy hair! Takes it out and puts it on the bumper and thinks he’s so smart. MOO.

There was plenty of outward affection between John and Karen that night. Just reflecting on that after seeing a summary of the Niece’s testimony/questions asked of her. I dunno, just sayin’

Mumbling to himself calling her the c word while he’s doing it. We know he’s not above that. MOO

Also, relationships can be really complicated and have intricacies that a child really can’t comprehend. They don’t have the lived experience that a middle aged adult has and I don’t think they could really describe it. JMO

There is no way in my mind that the hair is connected to any impact with the vehicle. Sure I could maybe believe it if the vehicle hadnt left the scene but a single hair staying on a bumper even the trip home is highly improbable.

Did JOK’s vehicle have damage to his vehicle caused by the alleged hit from KR’s vehicle?
MSP Sargent Evan Brent was asked that question this morning- he said he saw no visible damage . I think he took a bunch of pictures

Why does a hair even matter when it was his girlfriend’s car and he was more than likely in and around it a lot?

  • #534
There you go, proof that the pieces were planted. Another great witness for the defense! MOO
They probably bought the snow blower out to help move the snow.

Because she supposedly bashed him with it. That's the point of the tiny and brave hair on the outside of her suv. Who found that again? IMO

Yeah but even if she did hit him, who is to say it wasn’t a hair from a week ago? I mean clearly hair can stick to a bumper for a prolonged time in extreme conditions. JMO

Ms Hartnett is an excellent witness.

Just answers the questions and seems to have no agenda whatsoever.

Yuri and others could learn a lot from watching/listening to her.
I get the feeling she might harbor resentment over being used like this by Proctor.

OHHHHH, good point. Very good point, hmmm I wonder if that has been pointed out to the jury in so many words. Now it's not even the same hair that was photographed if I remember it was the same one shot, but from a different angle as the witness said. If Proctor took that photo, I would think it fell off, broke off the top of the hair, so somehow he found it and placed it back on the car. IMO

Alessi is now discussing protocol. Pointing out that material, as well as quantity of material are both important for evidence collection.

Alessi was pointing out the lack of glass inside the tailight, because physics tells us that the glass from the broken tailight would have gone inward on a violent impact.
No you dont understand this is Magic glass..It can take winds speeds in blizard conditions of 60 mph for 90+miles ,and Wait there is more !
It can also sit in a pool of water that collects in the groves of that part and not get taken out in flood waters ! (snow , ice, rain and wind)
Maybe KR had really good shocks?

I did think of super shocks at the original time of this info, then I came to my senses. The thing is as said, the people at the sallyport, one fired from the STATE POLICE after about ten years there, are suspect for all the careless evidence care from the start. IMO
