I think KR threw the car into reverse, rapidly backing up to where JOK was. She either nicked him on the knee, or missed him entirely, but scared him enough that he jumped out of the way, slipped and hit his head. That fits with what both the ME and Dr. Wolfe here have stated.
The ME said it ‘could’ have been a sideswipe. She also said ‘anything could happen’ in that same line of questioning. She did not say that the sideswipe was a legitimate possibility, only that she could not possibly rule it out given John’s injuries. If ‘anything could happen’ to cause John’s knee injury, it would be just as valid to say ‘a giant bird swooped from the sky and attacked John’ as it would be to say ‘Karen’s car sideswiped John’

Possible does not mean probable. MOO.

Alessi on cross.

None of Dr. Wolf’s typical work days have involved forensic pathology. Dr. Wolf just very clearly said that he is not a forensic pathologist, and he does not perform autopsy. He then says he sees more brains than the forensic pathologist.

He definitely is a bit miffed that he’s being crossed, IMO
Discussing the laceration to John’s eye. Dr. Wolf acknowledges it is not consistent with ecchymosis.

So landed with such force after flying through the air/gravity 🥴 but had no bruising or broken bones. Come on, naysayers.
Dr Wolf isn’t connecting the brain injury with anything else like a collision. Everything he’s said is very specific to the brain injury in isolation. I will be interested in cross, but Dr Wolf has said pretty basic head trauma injury knowledge.

Dr. Wolf is done.

Another defensive witness imo

Annnd he’s done.

Very curious why that guy was helpful to the P - maybe just bc he says John would not have died immediately?

He acknowledged on cross that he wasn’t a forensic pathologist, that he didn’t conduct autopsies, and that John’s eyelid abrasion in particular was consistent with force to the front of the head - the upper eyelid. Dr. Wolf said it’s probable that that injury was caused by ‘force’ applied to the front of John’s head.

ETA: he also acknowledged it was a separate injury - so, not just one strike.

Oh boy, we are ahead of schedule and the jury CAN take a break after all.

I’m a bit behind but it doesn’t surprise me that cross was quick. Dr Wolf didn’t say anything controversial.
The Court TV stream is a little bit behind vs the Law&Crime stream :)

Agreed.
Cross... His injuries could be from blows to the head right? Yes.

Do you have any information about John being hit or clipped by a car? No.
it's over.

Quick and easy by both the P and D because he has so many brain surgeries to get at!

Thank you, Alessi, for not wasting Dr. Wolf's precious time. Dr. Wolf can now get back to doing very important work saving lives. jmo

Was just going to say, so what...that's it? That was the cw's neuro surgeon expert done and dusted? All he established is that the head injury could have come from falling backwards. As to falling backwards onto grass in particular I think that was far from established. Oh, and that the face laceration was not associated. So...not much really. Jmo

Eta ah yes that has to be it. If he's claiming not necessarily immediately incapacitating that might be what brennan wanted. But that, if the jury takes it as gospel, may be very useful for the defense too. Moo

Alessi cleared that up on cross. Dr Wolf was consistent with ME. I’m not sure why the CW called him except maybe to state that he would have stayed alive 1-3 hours after the injury.

Maybe.. I wonder how it serves them though. Hasn’t the CW asserted John was immediately incapacitated when Karen ‘hit’ him? Or is that a previous theory that has since been discarded?

So what did he prove? This is what I heard. M00

●That JO was hit in the back of the head first. Hit with occipital injuries. Plural.
●Still doubt about how he died.
●Proved there were separate injuries. 🫨
●Proved there were separate impacts. 😲

Is that why Jen googled: hos long do die in the cold? 😔

I 100% agree. Alessi made the 2 points he needed to make. The expert wasn't a forensic pathologist and the lacerations was unrelated! This was an excellent cross, MOO
