Thanks, I was just wondering why he would prefer an office in Canton rather than wherever he had been or would normally be stationed.
I gather his ATF office was in Bridgewater and we know the Canton office was a perk from his buddy Chief Berkowitz.
I'm curious if he still has the Canton office?
Canton was his drinking hole.
KR visited him in West Roxbury where he lived in Jan 2022 plus he had his Cape Cod residence.
imo

The distance between Canton and Bridgewater.

Recall that Chris Albert had testified that by the time the others were leaving Waterfall he had already walked home and was upstairs in bed. Maybe it wasn't Chris at all but was Albert Brother Number 14 called Malachi??

I'd like just one pro-CW person explain why all of these people told so many blatent lies on the stand.

@ 1:26:00 The video shows CA as the last one of the group to exit the bar around 12:13 am

Do we know if Higgins is still employed?

IIRC.
@ 1:26:00 The video shows CA as the last one of the group to exit the bar around 12:13 am

Around 1:22

Yannetti: Karen did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol to you, she wasn't stumbling, she wasn't swaying, she didn't appear to be unbalanced, Karen Read wasn't slurring her words, she wasn't talking gibberish, she was engaging in normal conversation, appeared to be under control ... From your observations of Karen Read that night and you were there over two hours, from your observations of Karen that night, you would have had no problem with her driving a car, correct?

Long silence.

CA: "I wouldn't even have thought about it".

Longer silence.

Chris Albert summed up the collective attitude of all of the cops and family there that night. They didn't even think about drinking then driving. It was an ingrained habit to drink and drive, no matter how much drinking was happening.

So Chris Albert was one of the last people to leave the Waterfall that night at 12:13. But wasn't he leaving with BH and BA and even tried to stop BH from whatever he was doing? But now we see him still there at 12:13AM

citing just one mistake made by this prosecution "expert" witness. IMO it was a big mistake to even put him on the stand.

In fact, Alessi said, it was Burgess who erred by making mistakes in his data conversion method. He confused megabits for megabytes, Alessi said, and gigabits for gigabytes. (Eight of the former equals one of the latter.)

“The entire foundation of your proposal was based on a fundamental misinterpretation of the difference between a computer bit and a computer byte, correct?” the defense lawyer said.

“No, not the entire thing,” Burgess responded.

“Well certainly a part of it was, correct?” Alessi said.

“Correct,” Burgess said.

Random Saturday morning question.

I know a lot of people who, like me, originally thought KR was guilty and as they delved deeper into the case, now feel she is not guilty (reasonable doubt) or factually innocent. But I was wondering if anyone here began by thinking KR was NG and have since changed their opinion to guilty. If so, why?

And did you know Judge Cannone's brother was his attorney?

This is old news coverage of BH employment while T1 was in progress.

BH said he was assigned to "division's operations"

AJ asked him if he was taken "out of the field" and BH answered "yes".

@ 2:45

The reporter also said that the video coverage of BH in CPS's parking lot probably came from the church next door.
Interesting tid-bit that I hadn't heard before and am curious when LE first obtained the footage, if it is the Churches and why it took until Dec 2024 for the Canton LE to release it.

I'm watching Trooper Joe Paul's reconstruction of the collision to refresh what he concluded in preparation for Welcher's conclusion.
I'm trying to stay focused on this testimony, however, between Paul's accent and enunciation as well as Lally's constant "if any's", it's very hard to keep attention.

I bet Trooper Paul is very curious (to say the least) about Welcher's conclusions next week too! He did his best to reconstruct. Let's see what changes with "the expert".

Opinion and speculation- Please feel free to scroll on by and not read my post. Thank you :)

She’s (defendant) clearly falling apart after this week’s testimony. She’s had to relive the tragic killing of John O’Keefe in the courtroom, yet, showed no emotion, no empathy for the loss of John and/or what happened to John. John was left for hours to die a painful death in the cold. She was too busy leaving him hateful voice mails to even think about calling for help. Help that may have saved him, may have given his loved ones a chance to say their goodbyes. It’s always been about control for her. She’s losing control. Her mask raveling… winking to her attorney, smiles, and playfulness in the courtroom as if it’s all fun and games. Not that she’s on trial for murder. Just another day.

The steps of the courthouse has been her platform, her playground and the media caters to her. In her eyes she’s a star and the victim, she’s being framed by some bad cops, and about 30 plus other people (btw, no one’s cracked). She does not want anyone to know the federal investigation is closed, and no findings of police corruption found.

Anyone watching trial understands the case against the defendant, and knows she is not the victim, facts are coming out, science and data solid. Perhaps, it’s simple; and that some simply dont want her to be guilty, nothing more than that, ignore the facts of the case. The defendant does this herself. She doesnt hesitant to speak in public, yet, wouldn’t dare take the stand.

He cited media interviews and a five-part docuseries called “A body in the Snow: The Trial of Karen Read" in which Read says, “And then when I hired David Yannetti, I asked him those questions the night of Jan, 29th. ‘Like David what if, I don't know, what if I ran his foot over, or, or, what if I clipped him in the knee and he passed out and or went to care for himself and he threw up or passed out and David said, ‘Yeah then you have some element of culpability.’ So that's how I thought about things for about three days.”

Prosecutors hope to use Turtleboy's phones to show Karen Read's 'consciousness of guilt'

Huh?

Yes, I get that Karen is not necessarily likable for some people. But, that is a far stretch from being a murderer.

I'd say science and data came out in her favor. Showed sloppy work on the part of prosecution, embarrassing for them. And defense has not even started!

Karen showed plenty of pain and grief when she found John, but Jen was too busy painting a story to police instead of waking up her brother-in-law who was a first responder.

Bet if that was Jen's daughter in the snow she might have RUSHED to get the closest help, her family!

Wasn't it right after KR visited him that she started ghosting him?
I remember thinking that something must have turned-off KR during the visit, maybe his living conditions? lol
I’ve wondered this, too. Did something happen? Or was it just awkward being together ? But she definitely changed her mind about pursuing him after that night.

I'm rewatching the ARCCA guys LOL Just about done Dr. Wolfe's... the guy is confident and likeable... will be interesting to see what else the defense had them do in this case now.

As a trial watcher, the fact that they had no clue about the KR case when they were doing the testing, they literally had no skin in the game, they were just doing the testing they were asked to do. It's a unique situation.

Side note: Listening to Lally is HARD, the clearing of his throat constantly drives me crazy.

I don't know if I can handle Trooper Paul's testimony again 🤪
