You are completely correct. I work at a public scientific research institute. Our people don’t even testify in court (usually), and I can’t imagine anyone here making the ‘mistakes’ Mr. Burgess did. Accuracy is important, especially to scientific minds. And misrepresenting your CV can get you essentially blackballed.

All in my opinion/experience.
Ita - not to mention in the hired consultant world, education is critical - if nothing else, hourly consulting fees are highly dependent on education level and experience. So Aperture was knowingly or unknowingly likely fleecing it’s customers by charging more than what SBs credentials warranted.

Very cool! And if you *forget* to put ‘pursuing’ on a CV, that’s fine too!

MOO

I took 1 class at sometime in the history of mankind, so obviously I'm pursuing! Why would I need to actually put that on something I'm submitting to a court?

I disagree, he submitted correctly to the court he was "pursuing" his schooling.
How many years does one get to ‘pursue’ a degree in order to be able to report it on their CV…or wait, was it his LinkedIn, or Aperture website? He’s got so many versions of his background, I can’t keep them all straight.

He said he purchased a Lexus. Making it sound like he personally paid for it, which I doubt....JMOO
Was he reimbursed by the CW?

So they have the Odometer read for trigger two in 1162 key cycle.

Looks like he runs through all the journeys to get the final mileage on seizure to match the final mileage.

Just another corroboration for when Trigger 2 occurred.

i.e at 34F

All that matters, IMO, is he submitted to the court the correct information. To that date he was "pursuing".

He can bloviate about triggers until the sun comes up but that does not prove the Lexus hit JO and his injuries were caused by that. JMOO and ARCCA's

I got my bachelor's degree in 2005. If I went back in 2008 and took 1 course towards a master's, then I am still "pursuing". Isn't it cool how that works?
I knew it.
No doubt in my mind that you're a pursuing master.
Chuckle.

An expert’s testimony relies on their perceived trustworthiness. If they lied about their qualifications, it calls into question their honesty in other areas including their analysis. Would they manipulate data? Exaggerate findings? Omit inconvenient details? A pattern of dishonesty, even in unrelated areas, undermines confidence in their work.

If he’s willing to lie about his credentials, how can we trust he’s being truthful in his analysis? Expertise isn’t just about skill it’s about integrity. If he misrepresents his background, it raises legitimate doubts about his reliability as a witness. IMO.
To my knowledge Dr. Welcher has not lied about his credentials...which are extensive, MO.

But he corroborated with the CW for his testimony and was paid. Isn't that what was such a big problem with the ARRCA experts?

How do you explain Karen driving high speed in reverse outside 34F when the defence always denied this until 13 days ago?

Exactly. All of this is ‘this is a non collision event we’re choosing to interpret as evidence of a collision’. Once again, Karen in Wonderland, MOO.

I don't need to explain anything and neither does KR or her defense, that's how this court system works. It's the cw"s burden to prove BARD and IMO they can't.

Do you have some links that the defense always denied this?

A fair question. But I’d push back on the idea that the defense ever needed to “explain” a high-speed reverse, because the premise itself is shaky. Evidence of this alleged “high speed reverse” doesn’t prove anything happened on the night of John’s death. The defense addressed it once it was entered into evidence, not because it proves guilt, but because the prosecution is relying on speculative extrapolation. They’re treating it like a smoking gun, when it’s simply not that. MOO.

But the prosecution is saying there was a collision and Dr. Welcher does have a PHD in biomedical engineering, so we may hear testimony about the physical collision, as it relates to JO's body, in his testimony, MO.

Dr. Welcher's testimony may make the picture clearer, as to what happened. I'm very interested to hear it all.

Sounds like mind was already made up before this guy got on the stand. JMO
